  1. The start to this season is not the start any of us wanted. none of us know what really is going on behind closed doors at ICT,we can speculate etc,but whatever is going on the Chairman and board have to just get a grip of the situation and review why the Sporting Director spends as much time commenting on County rather than focussing all attention on getting ICT out of the mire by assisting Dodds and finding good standard championship players, because those with high aspirations of playing at the top level are not going to come to ICT. Dodds has a two year contract now and is going nowhere,we have to just accept that. The decision was not ours to make, although It beggars belief that after the last two seasons he was not offered a rolling contract. The CEO needs to get out from his office, speak with supporters and fans,(the real supporters and fans) listen to them and show some leadership off the park, then communicate his plans and actions to us all, including accepting that the club is in a difficult place. However, he must have a plan for revcovery. The assistant and coaches are going nowhere if Dodds is not going,so frankly it looks like we have to deal with the hand we have. As supporters, we should fully back the boys on the park as on paper we are a pretty good team and should not be languishing bottom with the players we have. We are,so something is clearly not right and perhaps that is down in part to confidence within the team. The Chair and Board don't read this forum they say,but the players maybe do, so how about this Saturday coming we go out there and support the boys on the pitch, give them encouragement and see if we cannot scrape a win and then with a win under our belt we can cool off, think rationally and come up with a startegy, plan of action that we can put to those running the club. Yes, I mean we have a voice, let's use it,but when we do, use it wisely in a well balanced and constructive debate/arguement.

  4. I and a few friends have believed for a while that this has been the aim of the club over the last few years, to basically wear it down gradually until we're able to revert to part time, and then the big costs and hassles dramatically reduce for the board. Doing it on a gradual basis also allows them to not lose the fan base completely but to end up with say 750+ hard core fans happy to pop along on a Saturday afternoon for a non pressure League one game. They have no interest in getting us back into the premiership, and that has been clearly evident the last few years where we either go on an early, mid or late season bad or good run. They will see it as a success losing the first 4 and then getting things changed to get a few points on the board between now and October just enough to keep the fans on board. The big problem I think they have with that and all this is purely my own opinion, is that the players are starting to waken up to the inconsistent coaching and tactics and probably have enough inside knowledge now to suspect that the club has its alterior motives. I know now why they gave Dodds a new 2 year contract and not get in a new manager.... No other manager with any self morales would allow a club to dictate to him what results he's allowed to achieve and when to back off

  5. So we now have the worst manager probably that the club has ever had and our board are just going to brush it all under the carpet and hope things turnaround . Yeah he will eventually pick up a point or 3 in the odd game of 6 but is that really what the club thinks is acceptable ??. And you wonder why the club cannot manage to increase gate numbers . Not a hard one to work out by any means . Something so not right about the club these days . Basically bein run into the ground by Amateurs

  6. Hi all It's becoming increasingly difficult to post the NAPs every week due to the huge amount of errors on the site which is hugely frustrating, I'm not sure how much more Caleyjag can put up with me swearing at my laptop. I'll try my best to keep it going but the format may change when you look at the odds. Every time I try to paste into a thread, the site crashes. I'll do my best

  7. Blast and botheration etc - I’m out of the country when the game is ICT v Rothes. I hope ICT progress as I’ll certainly support our boys, whether under whatever age, at the next game, in October. Having seen the under 19s v Hamilton away earlier this year, I have plenty confidence in our young players.

  10. If the club are going to allow his contract to continue and let him take in even more players then sorry they are digging an even bigger hole for the club .

  11. I’m not one to call for Managers’ heads and I said at the start of the season that the time to worry is about five games in. However, being bottom with no points after three games is a major worry, compounded by a losing run of six games if we include the League Cup (have we ever managed that before?), and whatever the position is with Doran and possibly others. We have Dunfermline at home then, after the Challenge Cup game at Arbroath, Raith away and Dundee United at home. That could be another three games without a point. I know margins are tight in this league and that one break could be all it takes to set us off on a winning run. Equally we’ve had deplorable runs mid season in the last two campaigns, so having a bad run at the start will be forgiven if we turn things round and have a good season from the autumn onwards. However, since returning to Inverness nearly 10 years ago I’ve not been as despondent about the prospects for the club as I am now. If we don’t get a result next week, I will join the growing band of fans calling for change, and not just to the management team but to those pulling the strings behind the scenes. I will continue to go to matches and give my full support to the players, but we need to get a grip and turn things round, and if we can’t we need to face reality and make changes before it is too late. Relegation should be unthinkable, but sadly it is not, and I don’t think we will ever recover if we do end up in League 1.

  12. With that Hamilton game and that season in general although most fans wanted the best for Richie, you could see he was out of his depth. Waffling word salad interviews (sounds familiar) and the biggest mistake was not taking action sooner to deal with it. By the time Malpas came in the rot had set in and confidence was shot. We waited far too long. We'll do the same again this season but for quite different reasons. We have a fan base that is comparatively 'quiet' and lets be honest, moaning online aside will likely do nothing. Even of they did see my first point below. The CEO won't listen to any outside concerns or criticism. The CEO won't admit they made a big mistake (Dodds 2 year deal). CEO spending large amounts to extend John Robertson's contract, that has to this day never been officially announced and could have been spent on, I dunno a decent defender or two. A chairman who seems who while seems nice is also anonymous and appears to have supreme confidence in the CEO and has no oversight of him. A manager who's under funded and while not up to the job imo is being somewhat hung out to dry. Not a great combo unless we are wanting 3rd tier part time football very soon. I watched the Billy Mckay goals compilation with my daughters the other night and it broke my heart how far we've declined over the last decade.
