Even seeing the highlights you can see a change in the team where everyone is playing for each other and fighting for every ball which wasn’t the case before. Still a long way to go though but I am more positive than the way we started the season. Well done to all the team yesterday3 points

Sat deep and let Airdrie play in front most of the time and was a difficult watch in that sense. However as said it has to be about getting points at the moment and a win is a win. We let them have a bit too much of the ball and gave up possession too easy in the second half and nearly paid the price for it. Got to think there is a lot more to come from the team and considering the current state of play a good fighting win3 points

We’ve been drawn at home to Cowdenbeath (now in the Lowland League). The tie is on the weekend of 25 November. The draw has thrown up Championship derbies in Fife and Glasgow. Date & Time TBC2 points

Aberdeen thought playing a similar side last year was easy. So far this season we have not achieved much in cup competitions but before then we have three massive league games. One step at a time methinks.2 points

Eye bleeding at times but we were able to grind out a win! We need points at moment and pretty football can wait.Good to see us becoming a bit more streetwise under Ferguson eg keeping ball in corner as long as we could in last couple of minutes2 points

Good result, well done all.Aidrie started first half better, but we finished on top.Second half was nail biting at times.Thought Longstaff was star attraction along with Gilmour,Udjur and Shaw. Harper has good spells, but can be careless too.Jury out on Lodovica who can't jump just like a former big striker now wi County. All said and done a good win mentally confidence wise and psychology wise. I'll take a draw now against Utd.2 points

Really good result, delighted with that and I’m encouraged that Wotherspoon could be a big player for us.2 points

This is what Saturday evenings should feel like! The second half was a hard watch at times, but we got the job done. Ridgers dealt with everything and a few timely blocks and some poor finishing helped too. The first half was quite even and we scored at the right time as Airdrie seemed to be getting on top. It was a great, calm finish by Wotherspoon which more than made up for the one he skied earlier (in his defence I thought it came on to him very quickly). I also thought the referee did us a big favour early in the second half. On a different day Anderson would have been penalised and a penalty awarded. However I thought we should have got one shortly after too. It’s nice not to be gifting goals although we did have some squeaky bum moments in defence, with Airdrie’s right wing back causing a lot of problems. Mckay and Wotherspoon worked their socks off. Longstaff and Shaw tried to push forward but also helped the full backs well. Anderson and Gilmour are developing a good partnership. But the biggest credit must go to our walking wounded. Last night all of our starting defenders were on the injury list, and Carson and Devine cannot have been fully fit when they were subbed in the second half. Udjur was not quite as composed today but did what he had to, whilst Harper had a bit of a torrid time defensively at times but credit them both for getting through the game. Sheridan could prove an asset when he is fully match sharp, with one defensive tackle standing out for me today. Lodovica and Brooks still do not convince me though. I was surprised to see Boyce on the bench, along with Duffy (who was there rather than Hyde from the teams published). We may lose ground on Tuesday when some of our opponents play and Saturday will be a big test at Tannadice. But let’s enjoy the moment. It’s a long time since we’ve had a home win to kick start a Saturday evening.2 points

Yes definitely, although I think that was more noticeable in the Partick game a couple of weeks ago.1 point

Marley Watkins for Kilmarnock today with his last touch before being subbed. Liam Polworth also started for Killie with Robbie Deas coming off the bench. Graeme Shinnie started for Aberdeen but was hooked early in the second half.1 point

Only 5 point off the play offs with a game in hand. Wave bye to some dross in Jan hopefully and dunc to continue with his changes and it'll show how much Dodds held us back1 point

A terrific three points that we ground out in the end. It was squeaky but time in the second half when we retreated further and further back towards our eighteen yard box, it was probably in the players minds to protect their one goal lead, but it was hearts in mouths as we were under constant attack from Airdrie. What I couldn't fathom was we never left a player up at the halfway line when Airdrie had a corner, which meant we had no out ball when we cleared our lines, so the attacks kept coming. It's something the Duncan needs to address. It was a hard watch at times, with very little flowing football and our chances were few and far between. Wotherspoon took his goal well, after some good work from Shaw, after he had blown a great chance earlier. The subs certainly upset any rhythm that we had in the game, and it all seemed to happen after the ever improving Longstaff left the field. He is much more suited to the left side being very left footed. Harper continues to exasperate me with his continual back passes. I don't know if it's a confidence thing or that's just his game, but I just wish he would turn on the ball and run down the wing. I thought Anderson and Gilmore are looking better and better in the middle and Ujdur was solid at the back, with Ridgers in typically good form. Billy Mckay ran his socks off as per usual and Wotherspoon, playing just behind him seems a good addition to the team. Longstaff, Anderson, Shaw and Ujdur were the standouts for me. For our next game, we will have to get our tactics and work rate spot on to get any result at the league leaders.1 point

I was following today’s ICT result from the Jeanfield Swifts v Elgin game, lending support to my local team for this Scottish Cup tie. I went expecting to see a competitive cup tie but didn’t get that. 6-0 to Jeanfield Elgin were atrocious and offered absolutely nothing. Ross Draper looked exasperated (and slow).1 point

We came more into the mix and David Wotherspoon spooned a shot over the bar from five yards. He really should have scored but he made amends five minutes before the break with a tremendously calm finish. He showed real class unlike the open goal he missed earlier. He turned in the box to roll the ball into the unguarded corner of the net from ten yards after making the space for himself......1 point
