  1. Personally dont think this was correct setting for very young teenage girls to perform what was a gyrating routine? Not really cheerleading in the traditional sense. Given its the womans euros Id have thought it might have been better to showcase our girls teams instead. Much better role models imho Just dont think cheerleading appropriate in 2025
  2. We definitely looked out of sorts for a lot of the game. Second to lots of balls and maybe nervous? But by **** do we need a striker and its been obvious for so long! Wotherspoon was poor today as well as longstaff, combined with Macleod struggling at RB it was a difficult day. Game changed a bit with Alonge and Sole coming on with some excellentmoves however there was no one up front to take advantage. Couple of tricky games coming up but hopefully we can sign a couple of players to fit the big gaps, Your aims to win promotion depend on it Mr Savage!
  3. In the lead up to conceding the goal, the midfield and forwards were far too lax in pressing and St J basically waltzed straight to the box. We looked disinterested at the end without the ball, hopefully that improves for the next game. Billy’s miss was criminal, looked like a lack of match sharpness to be fair.
  4. They made the Challenge Cup semi finals last year when still in the Lowland League, beating Ayr, Airdrie and Cove along the way, so we must be ready for a tough match.
  5. Hey, teachers, leave them kids alone...
  6. I missed today’s game so it’s good to hear the feedback. On the face of it, losing 1-0 to a higher league team is no disgrace and I’m more worried by what happens on Tuesday in East Kilbride as they seem to be on fire. I hear we had cheerleaders today, which I didn’t expect. What on earth did that consist of, did it add to the matchday experience and should it be repeated? Seems an unnecessary cost to me.
  7. Thought we did well against superior opposition and I'd be more worried if I were a St Johnstone fan. The team are stil geling and it's obvious not everything from the training ground has fully translated into games quite yet, but there's positive signs there and seeing improvements from pre season games.
  8. You can’t complain too much losing 1-0 to a team of their calibre. That’s a really poor goal to lose though, Danny has got to be annoyed with himself after that. East Kilbride will be a real test on Tuesday night and they will absolutely fancy themselves to take the 3 points. They have big aspirations to step up the leagues in the coming years.
  9. In general, I think we played pretty well today. Judging by the numbers of supporters who were standing in the main stand to applaud the team off the pitch at the end of the game, I would say most would agree with me. Both Sole and Alonge showed promise when they came on, but both tend to overplay it and miss opportunities for a shot or a more effective pass. Hopefully that will come when they feel more confident as integral parts of the team. Munro looks like a solid keeper for the season. It will interesting to see more of Corner, as what we did see when he came on as a very late sub was a very effective long throw-in which could be a really effective weapon in the coming season. For me, the standout players were Paul Allan and Alfie Stewart. There was a terrific work rate from both, they both read the game well, won good balls and always looked to more the ball forward quickly. The next two games will be tricky and will tell us a bit more about the strengths and weaknesses of the squad, but from what I've seen in the games this week, I think we should look forward to the coming league season with genuine optimism.
  10. A bit harsh on Billy. I'm sure he wouldn't be playing if we had an alternative, which we don't. Personally, I'd start the two guys who came on against East Kilbride next week with Billy and Weatherspoon as subs. Weatherspoon was equally disappointing today. As for the game, we were good in parts and probably deserved a draw. Still tend to overplay too much around the box though, plaes just shoot if the opportunity presents its self. Today was also a good workout in terms of fitness.
  11. So near - yet so far, for me. I enjoyed the match if not the result. Don’t want to be too critical of the result today as I expected STJ to come out on top as they are a couple of levels above us (just relegated but still Premiership structure and capable players), whilst we are still getting our team settled and short of a striker. So-near, in that sheer hard graft, good goal keeping, luck, poor finishing on STJ part and time wasting got us almost a well earned draw and into penalties. So-far, in that we were second to most balls, poor passing, caught ball watching and out-of-position for half the team, weak on both back positions, (Macleod simply not a RB). Goal kicks need work. I took heart in the attitude of the team however and the result should be a lesson on what we have to do (mostly on the training field) to correct the errors and step up the speed and accuracy needed at the higher game level. Liam looked a threat when he came on and something we can build on I’m convinced. Good to see Billy demanding more from the team. This attitude will serve us well if we take heed and work on improvement. Tough test it seems coming IMO against East Kilbride. Unknown entity but their results so far show they they mean business. Onwards! bc
  12. Must be a blow to lose after holding out for almost all of the game. One for Kell & co to spin to encourage the players - if they can do that against St J then they should have nothing to fear in League 1.
  13. Much livelier second half, especially when Sole and Alonge came on. Sole has been the most exciting player I have seen up here for a loooong time. He has plenty tricks in his bag and almost scored a sensational goal after beating abput nine players before his strike was deflected just wide. Strength was what got Perth their goal, nothing else. Excited for the season ahead with Sole ready to rip up League1. Alonge looks quality as well.
  14. Kay - Thank You for sharing Dave with us and for joining the Caley Thistle family all those years ago when travelling down from Ardgay. We are all your friends and family now, and we are here to support you as well as ICT in your time of need. I hope you enjoy the game today; you will no doubt feel a lot of support from those around you at the tunnel, but I know it will be both emotional and hard as you sat there with Dave for all those years. Like all the others we have sadly lost over the years, his physical body may be gone but he lives on in us all as we recall pleasant memories, anecdotes and have little chuckles when thinking of all the little silly stuff ... (and there is a lot of silly stuff from our group ... so much that it took both you and 'Mary Doll' to keep us all in line!)
  15. Thank you so much to everyone for your kind thoughts and memories of David. It has meant so much to me at this difficult time. Some of the stories I hadn't heard before and they made me smile. I will be at the game tomorrow and hope to see some of you there K
  16. I notified the club last night and Liam said he would get a look at it in the morning to see what the issues are,

Quite a remarkable day so far and in complete contrast to the start of last season and subsequent plunge into administration. We are very fortunate so far as to how things are beginning to improve.

One step at a time! At the beginning of last season we were overrun with defenders. This season it's midfielders. I expect next season we'll be banging the goals in because we're overrun with strikers 😂
  19. I’m sure I read somewhere that the new kits would be here around the start of the league season and a new shirt sponsor announced. The Highland Hospice logo is being used to cover up ILI on last year’s kit until the new ones arrive.
  20. All working fine on the PC tonight, just looks a bit different like having a new car will soon get used to it. Well done to you for keeping the site going and doing the updates which I am sure is a lot of work and we all expect to just log on and use it
  21. Just out of interest, I Googled what the price of a pint is at the bar at Ross County. The AI generated summary is as follows! "While the exact, up-to-the-minute bar prices at Ross County FC's stadium, Victoria Park, aren't readily available online, it's possible to find some general information. For example, one recent testimonial event mentioned that a pint of Dog Falls beer was priced at £5 according to CaleyThistleOnline, and Bar 94 would be open with the "usual range of products". The MacLean Suite is also mentioned as a hospitality option with access to a bar."
  22. I am a single parent with 2 kids that works for the NHS. If my kids didn’t attend some of the community football events ( big thanks to them), I would have no interest in going , but my kids love the football. I however find a home matchday not very entertaining and quite expensive. I do appreciate things have improved with Trust volunteers etc, but to claim they gain nothing from this is not case nor believable. After giving the voting rights away ( the deal would have happened regardless), they now seem to take a view that fans will pay over the odds for an average matchday experience. I appreciate also I may be in the minority that thinks this but others may have more money than me. You are not doing as good a job as you think you are, please take this as my last comment on this matter and if you dare……. Listen to some match day feedback and comments more often !
  23. Literally liquid gold🍺. Temperance application in the post! bc
  24. It’s not a pub in town though, is it? It’s a supporters bar at the stadium. It’s great the volunteers provide the service, but unlike pubs in town, bar 94 has no overheads ( staff costs, lease, lighting, electricity, rates etc)….. so still expensive in my eyes given what it is. My opinion, which won’t change just because others are happy to pay ( or have the funds to pay), the prices at bar 94.

Just a word of praise to those that undertook some ground general tidying-up. I noticed that the place looked a lot smarter with simple but clear improvements at the small detail. The perimeter of the pitch and ‘path’ had been cleared of weeds and growth for the first time in I-don’t-know how many years. I’m past such activities, but for me it is evidence of a club trying to get back some pride in its self and for the fans attending. Well done. Achieved its goal for me! bc
  26. I get where CaleyCiuin is coming from and just because prices are comparable or even cheaper than elsewhere does not mean they are not overpriced. I personally think £5 for a pint is overpriced especially when I can get 15 cans of Tennents for £10 from the Supermarket. That's not a criticism of Bar94 or pubs who charge more. There's lots of overheads, better quality offerings and a need to make money. For me a pint in a pub is a luxury and I don't feel entitled to a cheap price. If I want that I'll get cheaper drink from a cheaper source like the supermarket. I'll still buy a pint in Bar94 when I can and it's as much in support of the club as it is a refreshment. It's not grudged and those who volunteer their time to help ensure maximum return are appreciated.
  27. Hi Mantis, Understand the root cause issue you’ve identified, however it is a problem for ICT if people give up buying a ticket. Gone it seems are the days when you just turned up and paid cash for entry. You now need to provide your name, address and other personal details (credit/debit card) to simply apply for a match ticket. Introduce the potential glitches where any part of the above or platform provider (ie ticketing.co.uk) kick-in, then it becomes a chore. I don’t know how many times now where I have just shut down a purchase (eg paint) due to coming up against such grind. The club should make it as easy as possible for match access/ tickets to be purchased. If cash turnstiles cannot be reintroduced then a clear notice on the club ticket site that tickets are available for purchase at the ground right up to kick off IMO. tuppence worth. bc
  28. I also had a problem online several days ago and went down to the stadium to get my ticket. I had a message on the ticketing site saying "Your Browsing Activity Has Been Paused. We've detected unusual behaviour on either your network or your browser". It then gave 3 totally inappropriate options to resolve it. It blocked me from logging out so had to close the window. Happened both on phone and PC. The club were aware there was a problem. Once I had a purchased a physical ticket I was then able to access my on-line account OK. I would hope that nobody would have been put off buying a ticket if they have also experienced a problem as Aaron deserves a good turnout. Looking forward to him scoring against County again tomorrow.

SEASON 2025-2026 SQUAD With Administration under control and just the dotting of the i's and crossing of the t's to be scrutinised, we have started building a squad capable of getting us back into the Championship. Some familiar faces re-appearing in Joe Chalmers, last here in season 2018/2019 and guys like Paul Allan and Remi Savage coming back for more alongside our experienced players in Danny Devine, Billy Mckay, Luis Longstaff. There must have been a 'three for the price of one' offer on Ross' amongst our new faces in right back Ross Millen, GK's Ross Munro and Logan Ross from County. They will all blend in with our already established youths like Mathew Strachan, Calum Macleod, Robbie Thompson and Adam MacKinnon. We have also secured some talented youths/academy players on contracts which will see us through this season. Jake Davidson is still on the books although he was in re-hab most of last season. Big players that we will miss this season are Musa Dibaga off to Ireland and Charlie Gilmour off to Dunfermline along with Keith Bray. Lewis Nicolson has taken a break from football as he recovers from his injury. Ethan Cairns is off to Banks o' Dee. We also had to hand back some talented loan players who helped us through the Admin season. Take a bow Alfie Bavidge, Alfie Stewart, Ben Brannan, James Nolan, Connal Ewan and keepers Marcus Gill and Aidan Rice and a couple of keepers from the highland league in Martin Mackinnon and Corey Paterson amongst others. Full list below of established players and youths contracted for this season. More detail can be found on OFFICIAL ICTFC SITE Ross Munro GK Ross Millen Mathew Strachan Remi Savage Daniel Devine Joe Chalmers Luis Longstaff Paul Allan Billy Mckay Adam MacKinnon Robbie Thompson Calum MacLeod Jake Davidson (re-hab) Academy Players and fringe players signed on Pro contracts Logan Ross GK James Clark Ben Corner Sam Nixon Szymon Rebilas (youth GK) Sam Reid Ben Gardiner Shae Keogh Sam Thompson Jack Walker

Well done getting Ross Savage and Ross Chalmers. Just need some support for Billy. Do you think Ross McCormack would be interested?
  31. 1 point
Looks like we have an answer then. Ross will be first choice, while Ross will be on the bench but ready to step up whenever needed.

No need for me to go to Dingwall every 2nd Saturday this season for my County fix. I will get it watching us. 😉
  33. I'm not sure this is the correct thread for this. This one is about Aaron Doran and his testimonial. There are many things that can still be improved in the matchday experience, no one is daft or arrogant enough to think otherwise. I'm also sure both the Trust and Club would welcome constructive thoughts on where they can do better. However, it's also pretty clear that you're not listening to the posts of other contributors to this thread.
