  1. I just think a game of this magnitude deserved a decent ref. Thats all.
  2. Well that feels better. Team well set up tonight with good subs at right time. Caleyaway were in fine voice and stuck with them when chances being missed. Hope the home support gets right behind the team on Sat.
  3. Right tactics. Right attitude. Right result. And a good performance. Well done all!
  4. It's easy enough to say, but it might be a fact yet. If my granny had wheels she would have been a bike...
  5. Back to winning ways, good for team moral
  6. Absolute wonder strike from AlfieS. Well on top but my goodness that strike would grace any game in the top division. Don’t rest on the laurels of a one goal lead. Knock in a couple of early second half goals to avoid any pressure at the latter stages of the match. bc
  7. We hope everyone travelling to Peterhead for tonight's game has an enjoyable evening and safe travels. If you are not going to the match, why not join other Caley Thistle fans and watch the game live together? By popular demand, Bar 94 will be open and showing tonight's game. The bar will open at 1730, with the normal range of refreshments. If you wish to join us, we will be delighted!
  8. No Room for Error It's almost last chance saloon at the last chance saloon club as we face Peterhead at Balmoor Stadium on Tuesday night with the game kicking off at 19:45. It will also be screened on BBC ALBA for those not able to attend, or BAR94 if you want to watch with a squad of fans at the stadium with a juice of your own choice... A cringeworthy penalty decision against Stenhousemuir on Sunday meant that we remain two points behind the Warriors after the 1-1 draw which saw the three points wrenched from our grasp by an incompetent referee, who up to that point, within reason, had been doing okish albeit a bit pernickety. We play this catch-up game and thereafter all teams will have three games left to decide where the title goes, and likewise relegation for those at the bottom end. As it stands it's still in our own hands but anything other than a win removes that option and puts Stenhousemuir in the driving seat. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match/Ticket/Bus/info Tickets: £10 Adult, £5 Concession ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inverness CT 59pts THE RUN IN Stenhousemuir 61pts P'Head 📺 ICTFC 14th April @19:45 STENNY - No ⛔ Game ICTFC v Kelty Hearts 18th April @15:00 Cove v STENNY East Fife v ICTFC 25th April @15:00 STENNY v Alloa ICTFC v Accies 2nd May @15:00 Montrose v STENNY That was our starting XI at Stenhousemuir which saw a few changes from the KDM Final against Raith Rovers. A tough game at Ochilview might have taken it's toll on some but Chanka Zimba was suspended so expect him to feature in this one. Three draws in our last three games is not the form of Champions. Last Six League1: W D W D D D We started this run with a 3-1 home win over Montrose. With Stenny drawing and Alloa losing in midweek, we had a smidgeon of breathing space going into the home game against Cove but that was taken away by a goalkeeper. Balint Demus headed in an equaliser because we failed to put the game to bed when on top. A common theme throughout the season and one which Stenhousemuir took full advantage of by snatching a last minute winner. We bounced back in midweek with a good 3-1 home win over Peterhead with as bizarre an 'offside' goal as you will see gifting the Head their consolation. Zimba x2 & Alonge were our scorers in that one, three going on six. Zimba was Hero to Zero at Alloa scoring the equaliser before being sent off ten minutes later with the game ending at 1-1 and our last League1 game was a poor 1-1 draw under the lights v QotS where Ross Millen followed up on his saved penalty to bundle home and earn us a point. Onto the the KDM final and the only bright spark for us was Alfie Stewart's superb free kick. Alas we gave our opponents too much respect and too many opportunities to take the ball from us and for that we suffered badly. We suffered even more at Ochilview having led for around 70mins when Calum MacLeod's goal was wiped out with one blow of the refs whistle in a 1-1 draw. Meh! Heads team that were maybe surprisingly beaten on Saturday by East Fife. They went down 2-1 at Methil with Craig McGuffie getting their goal. Kieran Shanks has been voted the League1 PotM for March having scored an impressive 5 times during March and a total of 17 for the season. That's a great return from the Peterhead front man! Last Six League1: W L L D W L First of the last six was a an excellent 3-1 win over Alloa, Shanks, McGuffie and an og sealing the points. A last minute goal for Stenny saw them leave Balmoor with a 1-0 win and that was followed by a 3-1 win for none other than the Caley Jags with Shanks getting their rather bizarre goal. Shanks again in a 1-1 draw at home to Montrose and his scoring run continued with a brace at Alloa before Saturdays defeat to the Fifers. 🏆 | William Hill League One 🎪 | Balmoor 🗓️ | 14th April 2026 🕒 | 7.45pm 🚘 | Stadium parking onsite - if car park is full, please use Peterhead Academy car park on Balmoor Terrace 🍺 | Social club open at Balmoor for home and away fans 🍔 | CASH only catering within stadium 📰 | Programmes available to purchase 💷 | 50/50 tickets for sale 🎟️ | Online tickets available via link below 📹 | NO match streaming available ❌ | NO cash turnstiles, tickets can be purchased prior to the game from our ticket office located at the front of the stadium or online. 📞 | Should you require any additional info, please contact the club on 01779 478256 OnlineTickets Fanbase>>> £10 Adult, £5 Concession Pos Team Pld Gd Pts Stenny 33 22 61 ICTFC 32 32 59 Alloa 33 14 50 QotS 33 8 49 🐟 P'Head 32 -10 42 Monty 33 -15 41 E Fife 33 -25 34 Cove 33 -7 31 Accies 33 9 28 Kelty 33 -28 26 You tell them Scott, penalty my
  9. One down three to go After the disappointment of Saturday's game at Ochilview, we had another opportunity to top the table going into the final three games in League1. After tonight, it's a three game sprint for the title. Could the Caley Jags keep their destiny within their own grasp? Chanka Zimba was available after suspension and he led the line with Calum MacLeod retaining his starting place from the weekend and Billy Mckay missing out again. League1 Player of the Month for March, 17 goal Kieran Shanks will lead the line for Peterhead and Flynn Duffy was back in the starting XI. Inverness were the more prominent around the opposition box with Newman making one tremendous save from an Alonge free kick but he had no chance when Alfie Stewart stepped up thirty yards from goal to whip his free kick right into the top corner to open the scoring. The next best effort was an Alfie Bavidge run into the right side of the box but Newman stood tall to block the ball away. In a great attacking display in the second half we hit the woodwork twice through Robertson and Alonge before Chanka Zimba swept home a Bavidge cross to secure the points. Magnificent result considering what was at stake. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The hosts got the game underway and Inverness went onto the front foot. In the third minute a twenty-five yard free kick from Jordan Alonge was spectacularly pushed out for a corner by Jack Newman. Nothing from the corner but moments later Alfie Bavidge headed goalwards but it lacked power and was easily gathered by Newman. Inverness were dictating the early pace of the game and after ten minutes Calum MacLeod looped a header over when Newman was caught in no mans land. Peterhead's first effort was a shot from Seb Ross that was dragged wide a minute later after some neat footwork around the box. Midway through the half the play had evened out and Munro saved comfortably on the angle from Kieran Shanks. Play was turning a bit scrappy on the fiery surface with the ball bouncing high making control awkward. Newman smothered a dangerous cross into the box in the twenty-fifth minute as it remained goalless and a stabbed passback to Newman went unpunished before Zimba clumsily tried to get a couple of shots away. Munro flopped on a snapshot from Jason Brown as the game moved back to the other end. Munro needlessly gave away a throw in. Why??? Lots of petty fouls littering the game now, but with half an hour gone Bavidge raced clear on a great ball forward by Stewart after he broke down an attack, but Bav went a step or two wide allowing Newman to block his effort from fifteen yards on the right side of the box. We were swarming all round the home box but nobody had the required skill to unlock the defence. Until now. Wow!!! A stunning thirty yard left footer curling free kick from Alfie Stewart opened the scoring five minutes before the break. Pawlett had been pulled back after a late lunging tackle missed his intended target. Wee Alfie only scores screamers, he couldn't have placed it in the net any better had he taken some step ladders and dropped the ball into the net from on the goalline. The visitors were now being flagged offside a few times as the interval approached and it remained the narrowest of advantages at the break thanks to Alfie Stewart's stunning free kick. HALF TIME: 0-1 The Caley Jags should have gone two up in the first minute when Newman palmed the ball to Zimba and on the rebound Bavidge saw his shot blocked in the six yard box before being cleared. Moments later Calum MacLeod saw his shot grabbed by Newman after MacLeod's shot deflected over the keeper but was headed off the line by a defender. We had the ball in the net again but it was flagged by the linesman to deny a second. Fast start to this half from the Highlanders looking to increase their advantage. Jordan Alonge burrowed his way into the box past a number of players but his shot cracked back of the post to deny him a brilliant solo. Great pressure from the visitors and only eight minutes into the half. Bavidge could have scored after latching onto a ball into the box but his low shot rifled across the face of the goal from eight yards on the right. Mitchell Robertson curled a beauty onto the crossbar from twenty-five yards with Newman rooted to the spot and he followed up on his own rebound but his shot swerved a yard wide of the target. How we have not scored at least four goals this half is a mystery. Fear not, it paid off on sixty-seven minutes when Bavidge used his pace wide right to drill a low ball into the box for Zimba to sweep the ball into the net from inside the six yard box. It was another tremendous ball by MotM Alfie Stewart that had set Bavidge on his way. Five subs stemmed the flow of the game and we saw out the last fifteen comfortably in control to go back on top of the table with three games left. FULL TIME: 0-2 Alfie Stewart was TV MotM and no complaints from me after that stunning free kick. He was also part of the assist for the second goal as we played out from the back. Great all round performance that offered little for Peterhead to work with and a result that could have ended up at five or six to the visitors. Top of the league with only three games left for everyone. 10. I'll happily moan about that ref haha some shocking decisions in that first half Hopefully the team takes confidence from tonight for the last few games
  11. Can’t really fault the team or the manager tonight, apart from a couple of poor attempts on goal perhaps. If we played like that every week we’d be champions already. There won’t be much criticism of the ref this time, but WTF was the linesman doing flagging Alonge when he looked a yard onside!
  12. That feels like a big result to me. Taking nothing for granted, but you'd have to expect to beat bottom of the league Kelty at home on Saturday, and East Fife don't have much to play for at this point. Hopefully Stenny drop points over the next 2 games because I really don't want it going to the last day.
  13. That was lovely!
  14. 2 up now - about flippin’ time!
  15. I thought it had gone wide at first. Awesome strike.
  16. That is absolutely outrageous from Alfie!!!
  17. Hope these guys aren’t knackered after 88 mins of game time on Saturday. Not a fan of TV sport, get too distracted at home. Didn’t even watch back nine of masters on Sunday night. So fast start and keep banging in the goals. Or my attention will start to drift towards flicking through the WC qualifiers on offer tonight starting with Scotland v Belgium. Come on ICT do me a favour please.
  18. For me, the equation is straight forward: win all our games and we win the league, anything less, and we then rely on others. Yes, that should be the outset all the time but it's even more imperative now. With that in mind, it's a must win game even to show Stenny that we're still on top. They'll by far be the happier of the two from Saturday and feel the pressure is back on us, so we need to flip it round again. Points in the bag by far outweigh what ifs and maybes so let's go, get the win and push on
  19. Thanks CJ This was their social media post on X about an hour ago??? It’s going to be a beautiful night for a game of football... Just a reminder that for our game v @ICTFC tonight, we have made the decision to lower the price to £10 per adult and £5 per concession (kids under 10 years old go free) so head down to Balmoor for a family night under the lights. This game is also on BBC ALBA so you can watch yourselves back on the telly when you get home! Tickets can be purchased at the ground from our ticket office prior to the match or come prepared with an online ticket using this link: https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Dashboard?clubId=388
  20. Already said to MrCaleyjag this morning this is a HUGE game for us and he said we should all have a positive mental attitude - so with that let's go! We're heading up with our mini CaleyJag, am ever hopeful - see everyone there! Also @tm4tj the ticket prices are different on the website to what you've published above, screenshot included
  21. If we don’t end up winning div 3 title it won’t be down to a penalty award to Stenny. Far simpler more fundamental repeated causes I would proffer. bc
  22. Nothing wrong with QotS penalty. Have another look and tell me again. Mckay was pushed in the back. If not he scores. Tell Scott Kellacher that. Somebody needs to make them accountable or the same mistakes will go on and on and on. This is how they learn. We move on and lessons still not learned and we won't be the only suckers that suffer at the hands of incompetence.
  23. I don't give a feck if I sound like a broken record. The decision was wrong and on the day it cost us two points. The bottom line is it needs to be addressed by the SFA or the SPFL whoever is the governing body for the referees. We would not hear the end of it had it happened in an old firm derby in a title decider. We were not discriminated against or cheated unless you count Anderson falling as being cheating. We were undone by incompetence. I am not a prophet, that's a hypothetical question about Tuesday, have you seen it yet? Let's all play by the rules then there's no issue if we get a penalty given against us, or for us for that matter. This one really is on the referee and his bosses.
  24. County looking increasingly likely to finish 9th or 10th, as they are 7 off Ayr in 8th who have played a game less. Airdrie are bottom, 1 point behind with a game in hand. Hopefully we settle down and secure the title as a play off against County would not do my blood pressure any good 😂😂
  25. Jeezuz... how the feck did Zimba miss that one??????
