  1. i dont quite get why people come on here and do things like that okay your fishing for a bite but to then turn round and say that we dont let the football do the talking...is that not what the OP is doing by coming on here fishing..how about we just sit and wait till we have played each other on a side note however i agree, we are a team in its infancy in the fact that we havent even reached an "Adult" 18 years old yet.....but for one so young we have achieved an awful lot im sure you will agree

  5. William Hill were the best odds last night. 20/21. If you've not got an account with them use code F25 to get a free ?25 matched bet. Caley to win -3 is decent at 20/1...

  6. I dont believe that we will get beat. Even in the unlikely event that we do I believe that Tel and Mo have a team in the making that is going to have a very successful year.

  8. Can't see anything other than a humping for Billy Reid's boys if the nucleus of the side that humped Utd take to the field.... Forget all these old wife's tales about bogey teams....Caley Thistle are a team of hardened pro's now - they will not let us down. Prediction : 3-0 (minimum!) Have faith!

  9. I keep forgetting that Elgin are even in the league. It's only when I check out who the team bottom of SFL3 is that I remember they are no longer in the Highland League.

  13. As an englishman relatively new in the area i can agree that coverage of Scottish football in England goes as far as Celtic and Rangers.m Listen to 5 Live or talksport and the only results or fixtures they read out on bulletins are those of the Old Firm. Therefore, coverage of 1st, 2nd and 3rd division football is non existent! I have no idea who won the 2nd or 3rd division in scotland last season. I still couldnt name all the clubs in the 1st division. So although these sportsmen "should" know the 1st Division Scottish Champs, it doesnt surprise me that they dont. And think about the fact it was even a question at all on the show. If it was obvious they would never have used it. Hopefully though, if performances continue in the vain of Sundays, everyone will know who Terry Butcher is the manager of down south!

  14. Have all your Aberdeen mates deserted your forum and signed up here for some decent craic? How else could you get so many positive reputation points for this stream of drivel? And where do you get the idea that ICT fans are agressive? We are always extremely courteous to supporters of other teams

  17. To be honest that would make me laugh. and would you really care if he banged in 14 goals or more a season? If that would make you laugh then you have one hell of a sick sence of humour? You honestly think it would be funny to see a kid with the name of a man inprisioned for sexual assault on the back of their shirt? Thats disgusting and disgraceful!!! I also dont get offended easily so to be honest i couldnt really care less what you think about me

  19. Tonight, as discussed elsewhere, sees the return of Wyness to the TCS for Peterhead. Personally I hope that he gets a great reception from the fans before the game but nothing more during the 90 minutes. I think it would be a shame if he was booed by anyone at the ground. Likewise, if Mann or Bavidge were able to play I would like to think that they would get the same reception. Both did well for us, to varying degrees, and I feel that neither deserves to be lambasted by our fans. We've had players do well for us and move onto teams who, when they return to Inverness, get pelters from the fans. Recently Vigurs got some stick from fans when he returned with Ross County and I seem to recall Mackie also receiving the same "treatment" after his loan spell. John Rankin and Craig Dargo seemed to generate some mildly negative shouts when they returned to face ICT for their new clubs as did Mark McCulloch and Barry Wilson when they went to Livi. This season will see Ian Black come back to Inverness with Hearts and Dougie Imrie play for Hamilton Accies this Saturday. I wonder what kind of reception they might get when they take to the field. How do you tend to respond when a former ICT player comes back to face us? Do you applaud his past contribution, criticise throughout the game maintaining he was never that good anyway or do you just not care at all?

  20. Are you mad or what? I seriously hope you jest! His options were what, precisely? I will repeat a post I made on the Peterhead thread..........Maybe so...but don't you think it would be just a leetle shade patronising to put the whole U-19 team in against Wick Academy in the NOS cup.given that with Gil and Foran still not fit, Innes not around and 16 penciled in for Peterhead.that leaves only four players who would get to rest anyway...........and there aren't enough u-19s to make up a team and fill the bench? I doubt anyone is going to get a rest. There was a choice to be made.and it was made....better to get to the next round of the CIS cup and possibly a chance of a big pay day, than the NOS cup, which will gain not a lot more than match practice. And, tbh. Wick is a decent enough team.......play good passing football......and only the terminally over-optimistic would have expected the divine right of winning just because we are ICT.......when we had no option but to put boys in against men. The boys played well.....very well for chunks of time.....worked hard for each other. They missed a few chances......made a few mistakes.............as did Wick..but wick took their few chances, made less mistakes. .... but then they have the benefit of experience.

  21. I'm actually trying to curse use to win..... if you get me Something Tel managed to do last season was win consistently and for the first time in a long time we dealt with the pressure of being favourites going into each game, something Brewster struggled with. I hope that momentum can continue into this season but we can't expect to have it our own way against stronger opposition. As I said, I'll be delighted if I'm wrong (so will my wallet) but as the scarf would say "I have a bad feeling about this" anyway, it's about time I posted something that got some red dots

  22. Ok, so we have all creamed over the terrific result against United and to an extent our first half display against Celtic. We didn't fluke the result at Tanadice, it seems (from what I've read, seen and heard) we played great football and scored 4 excellent goals. If you take into consideration our opponent, Hamilton, have conceded a whopping 8 goals in 2 SPL games and just been knocked out of the cup by 1st division Raith Rovers. On top of all that they are set to be missing captain Alex Neil (injury) and their best defender Martin Canning (suspension), they sold their best midfielder, McArthur, during the transfer window and Billy Reid seems to be experimenting with a new formation. there is a lot (^) in our favour and I'm even tempted to stick some cash on @ evens with the bookies for a home win but this expectancy is exactly why we will lose this game and to top it all off Imrie will score the winner. We haven't beaten Hamilton since they made it to the SPL, Billy Reid knows how to beat us, a bit like Calderwood did at Aberdeen.. I don't know how but they just know. Hopefully me posting this will soften the blow when we lose and all the renewed optimism turns to numerous posts regarding Tel's inadequacies. ... and if I'm wrong then we'll all be happy :)

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner
