  1. I can accept that early on in the season, one or two games in, we could find ourselves in a strange league position - up too high or down too low, due to the early opposition we have had to contend with. WE ARE HALF WAY THROUGH THE SEASON AND MY WEE TEAM ARE SECOND TOP!! SHOUTING??? OF COURSE I'M SHOUTING! I hope they heard me in Dingwall! I hope they heard me in Central Scotland where they complain that the road to Inverness tires out their players but our players are immune to this journey. I hope they heard me in Dundee where our presence in the league was not wanted by one team there - I think they said they wanted their neighbours instead. As we look down we can only wonder ...WHO ARE YA!! I hope they heard me in every house in the INVERNESS area unwilling to support us ... like the ones traveling home from Glasgow having scrapped a win against the lowest side in the SFL. Following today's poor turnout I feel that INVERNESS does not deserve any team, never mind one sitting SECOND TOP of the SPL - and there will be many sitting waiting to say 'I knew it', when we drop/if we drop to third spot. Anyway, to the aforementioned, GIRUY, the view is great from up here!!!!

  2. Lets get down to the feckin nitty feckin gritty - WE ARE A CLUB IN ITS FECKIN INFANCY - WE ARE A CLUB THAT WILL ALWAYS BE A FECKIN SHOP WINDOW FOR "BIGGER" CLUBS - WE ARE A CLUB THAT WILL LOSE OUR BEST PLAYERS ON A FECKIN REGULAR BASIS - WE ARE A CLUB THAT WILL ALWAYS STRUGGLE FINANCIALLY TO BALANCE THE BOOKS - WE WILL ALWAYS FACE COMPETITION FROM THE OLD FIRM AND THE ATTRACTION TO GLORY HUNT. And we will possibly never be in the same positive position that we are now BUT we just seem to keep going and going - year after feckin year - on a feckin shoestring, picking up players who many have dismissed and blending them in to a feeling of togetherness. Have we had some feckin great times or feckin what ? We probably only have a fan base of 2000-3000 but that is becoming the faithful and it can only grow if we influence the yoof of inversneckie to follow - and staying in the SPL will only help that recruitment and retention process. It took me 3 feckin seasons to forgive and forget the bloodiness of the merger - BUT I have built up a tremendous group of friends from all over the feckin world - AND I am now INVERNESS CALEDONIAN THISTLE till i die - which could be a feckin long time !! If we are in the bottom division in 2021 and playing East Stirlingshire on a feckin frost Tuesday nite in mid-january - I will be feckin there - WILL YOU ?

  3. Just found out that 28,000 from Swindon turned out to see 'Jer-man' fron x f***er sing a song . Sad thing is that only 3,400ish bothered to turn out, for a team playing some of the best football in the league, today??!!

  4. What the original poster wants to know is if she can empty her bag herself or can the steward insist on a rummage? That's all. Don't think she is objecting to them checking her bag it's the manner of the search.

  10. I‘ve been saying this for weeks as well. He had a shaky start (confidence, fitness or both?) But after the first 3 or 4 games he has improved and has been impressive. His precision passing makes him stand out. He‘s been my MOTM in a few games. One of my favourite players this season. Dave The Rave!

  11. Just wondering, in that context, could "Sold out" also mean "Not made available for sale yet"?

  12. have to say I thought he was a dud but to me the most improved player from our shakey start

  13. I was actually thinking in terms of items a good deal more unpleasant than that! Interesting to note, though, that football fans need to be treated with similar seriousness to Al Quaeda operatives!

  14. Wonderful to see that he has got over his shaky start and is proving that he was another good signing, alongside Draper and Warren. Even King looked OK before he got injured. I think these new boys have made the world of difference to us this year. Coupled with Doran and McKay finding form, and Foran too recently, it is no surprise that the whole team has done well and shot up the table. Has there been a better time to support ICT?

  16. Was talking about this with a few people recently and the one thing that cropped up time and again was the Celtic game where he had Samaras in his pocket for most of the match....especially when you look at what he (Samaras) has been doing against "world class" defenders this season.

  17. He was my MotM yesterday, and as you say, he is unrecognisable from the chap that arrived in summer. We are now seeing the best of him and he puts in a decent cross on the end of his overlapping runs.

  19. I'd have McKay over Rooney on his current form. Rooney was often a bit too lazy for my liking.

  20. Who needs antidepressants when we have ICT. i. e. IMMEDIATE CHEMICAL-LESS TITILATORS second in the SPL i.e. SUPER PRESSURE LIMITORS division of the SFA. In fact our needs are really SFA as long as our side effects to eliminate all opposition, presented to us in cups, or other measures of potential containment. With all due respect IHE, sir, togetherness relates to ......... in the case study of ICT .......... The Only Good Emotion Tonic Held Entirely Responsive Now Excluding Sexual Satisfaction.

  22. Yep, fantastic all round today. The Big Four of Warren, Meekings, Draper and Tudor-Jones were immense again today (and I am ashamed to say I had my doubts early on in the season). Ross Draper is a real football player (the new Paul Cherry?) and Billy Mackay must be the fittest player around, does he plug himself into the national grid before games? Respect to Tony Reguero too, geat save at a crucial moment. Ritchie, you've always put your body on the line for the team but take care wi the auld fizzer. Rock On Inverness!!

  24. No thanks......what we've got is well settled and improving all the time. We dont need to upset the cart by trying to fit something else in. Besides, three points of top of the league, two cups and european football next season. Who'd want to leave?

  25. Rarely will we witmess such an an all round team performance. No-one deserved to win MOM today, and I say that in the most complimentary way possible. Everyone battled for every ball, and to be only one up for most of the game was the most inaccurate reflection I've ever see, yet we were so comfortable. Incredible save from Reguero early on, Warren lapped everything up for rest of the match, Raven was a formidabale attacking threat going forward and covered all he had to with his team-mates cover defensively, Meekings made a few critical interceptions, Shinnie covered Griffiths all the way, Jones and Draper ran the show and our attacking players were impressive beyond belief. Wow, just wow. Feckin love being a caley thistle fan at the moment.

  28. Not sure I understand the "meh" attitude from some people right now. Fully appreciate that cost will be a factor for some and work/kids/travel etc preventing others....but surely if those things aren't an issue and you're a fan then you wouldn't want to be missing out on anything that involves the team right now. I can see us getting to the end of this season and a lot of fans having a lot of regrets because, through choice, they missed out on much of it. Guys and Girls....it's not going to last forever, certainly not if people don't support the tea/club when they are on a high. Get yer erse down there (if able) and cheer on the lads.

    • Inverness CT -V- Morton - Preview
Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!
