  1. We are after Kallum Higginbotham on a free - wouldn't object to his signature.

  2. A wee note to the person who drafted the ICT press release on Mulraney - there's a huge difference between him becoming "a fan's favourite" and "a fans' favourite" Grammar and punctuation might seem pedantic, but it's the difference between knowing your shit and knowing you're shit!

  3. In case anyone is interested Brian Rice has been confirmed as Ritchie's assistant for the next 2 seasons. Quite happy with this. As it keeps things settled, he's a wealth of experience and will have several contacts in the game to aid player signings etc.

  5. The clubs engagement with children of school age is excellent. They have been running their hot-shots programme for 'ever' now, and this WILL prove beneficial going forward. Some investment from the government etc with regards to youth development would be beneficial for clubs and communities across Scotland. The %age of youth playing football professionally that come from 'deprived' areas has dropped dramatically in recent years, so extra funding would help it become available to all, either by subsidising the club so they can charge less or paying for transport etc. it's a shame there's no wealthy businessmen on this side of the bridge with deep pockets. I'd rather see inward investment in this area than someone bank-rolling a first team that have no desire other than chasing the wage. I quite like the club being used a shop window - it ensures players give there all.

  6. Hopefully the fixtures also include the first lot of games selected for TV coverage as well so we don't need to wait even longer before sorting out travel to games.

  8. Such a shame. Thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. Heres a few words that our chairmain had to say when he came onboard. http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/376-matthew-will-star-on-the-pitch

  9. I get confused by the various transfer regulations, but if he is 20 and turned down an extension from QPR, aren't they due a development fee?

  10. Wikipedia link Someone's been at his Wikipedia page already. "On 17th June 2016 Jake joined Inverness C.T. on a 2 year deal as the second signing for new manager and all-round street fighter Richie Foran. "

  11. Jake Mulraney, 20, has signed a 2 year deal. http://ictfc.com/news/team-news/1780-2-year-deal-for-jake He's a midfielder from Dublin. He was with QPR but never played.

  13. Hopefully his defence mind will dovetail nicely with Richie's attack mind, aids with the continuity, and might also save us a bob or two as we'll no longer need to pay him off with yogi. All positive in my book.

  14. picking up a player of his quality on a free would be a major coup...lets hope we can do something to make us stand out from the crowd that's likely to be after him.... goals off the bench maybe....

  15. Higginbottom is an excellent player and just what we need behind the striker. I'd be surprised if we could get him because he should be in demand - would be fantastic if we managed this one!

  16. A more pertinent observation is that both this season and last, our competitive season kicks off on 16th July......but instead of the glamour of Astra in the Europa League, we have the glamour of Cowdenbeath at Central Park!

  17. Higginbottom's a decent player, wouldn't be unhappy at all if we signed him

  18. Higginbotham would be a great shout! Got to say, I know it looks on the face of it rather concerning that so many out and so little in, but I firmly believe that this could be Forans big plan to clear out the "ifs and maybes" and pave the way for the budget he needs to bring in who he firmly believes will make his team. I for one would much rather wait and put faith in Foran for that, than simply retaining the services of a few "hit and misses"

  19. Hopefully recent first team graduates Ali Sutherland and Jason Brown can get a few opportunities this season coming. I imagine Ritchie will be assessing their readiness in pre season. Having a good youth program can only benefit the club in terms of potential sell ons and I imagine great effort is made in this regard. As a young club in terms of national recognition, it'll only probably be from now that youngsters brought up solely as ICT fans will be striving to fulfil their dream of playing for their boyhood club.

  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36551309 Devine signs for Partick, bit of a strange decision. My guess is Foran couldn't guarantee him first team football given that Raven has been given a new deal and Warren and Meekings will likely be starting at centre back (thank god!). He was a decent player for us, was prone to the odd error but overall I was pretty impressed with him. At 23, he's still got years ahead of him, especially seeing as centre backs usually prime in their late 20's to early 30's. Should be a good signing for Partick, but can't say I'm devastated to have lost him!

  21. i personally think Devine could be a big miss, we now have NO cover in centre back, yes we can use Draper but we will then miss him in Midfield.

  22. I see Lee Cox is out of contract with Stevenage. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to see him return, provided Ryan Williams doesn't sign on again. Could cover at right back as well.

  23. Well why the hell not, it's only a friendly and you've got more experience than the 7 year old who applied.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner

    • Inverness CT -V- Montrose - Second Leg (0-0)
As much as we have criticised the Caley Jags performance on Tuesday night, let's not lose sight of the fact that Montrose are a decent League 1 side with a good blend of experience and talented prospects. For our part, let's keep them as a good League 1 side and that means no room for faffing about. Time has run out now, there's no hiding places and no room for shirkers. Ditch the sideways passing or put goal posts in front of the Main Stand and tuck shops.

    • Montrose 0-0 Inverness CT - Play Off 1st Leg
      FULL TIME: 0-0

All to play for on Saturday, but don't hold your breath...

However, if we continue like this, it will be our final game this season.

Best performer for us was Samson Lawal, the only bright spark on the field.

Alloa 2-2 Hamilton was the other semi-final score tonight. On this evidence, I doubt either side will be quaking in their boots.
