  1. Can someone point me to the SFA edict which states that when players are up against Lonsana Doumbouya they are allowed to pull his shirt, physically grab any part of his anatomy, push him in the back with both hands, put their hands on his shoulders when jumping for the ball, block him of with their elbows, kick him and trip him up? It happens week in and week out and referees simply ignore it. There are times when the poor lad looks quite bemused as to why he is not being awarded a foul.

  2. Please let's have a decent home support today guys! No home game for three weeks-no excuse! We need to get behind our boys! They need our support out there today, not criticism! I will have a wee rajy if I hear people tutting today!! that can wait for post-match on here! Oh and the game lasts 90 minutes plus stoppage time, any chance people can maybe sit in their seats until maybe it's finished?! It's not like there's 50 thousand people trying to leave at once! #aintnofiredrills

  3. I don't see Tanz being used as a scapegoat at all, every player has been 'outed' for having bad performances- Vigs, Tansey, Warren Draper etc. Note that these are all our 'Stalwarts' the players you want to step up when we're having a bad run. Also likely to be our highest earners as well, so it's only right that they get some stick for playing sh1te! As paying customers we have every right to vent on here if we're not happy with the product. And yes, Yogi got it in the neck last year for the games being miserable as sin, which they were, and regardless of the results, the games are a better spectacle to be watching... Many people identified that with Richie taking over this wouldn't be the smoothest of seasons and perhaps we've been lucky with the way other results have fallen, but I expect things aren't going to go smoothly for the rest of the season either. But sitting in last place, just 3 points off the top 6....not exactly a major drama to be fair. And if our 'top' players continue to play below their par, then they should expect a hard time on here. Richie's time will come-if he proves to be as stubborn over style/formation/tactics as his predecessor then he will be in line for some stick too...but it's early days in the Foran era...DONT PANIC! #believeinthebeard #dontpanic #topsix #prideofthehighlands

  4. For those not able to be there, a much better showing and I found the game enjoyable and entertaining. We could, and perhaps should, have won, with a clear penalty denied and a few good chances missed. Equally, Hamilton were quick on the break and could feel they could have won too. I did not see the Hamilton goal clearly, so can't comment on Fon Williams, but I felt he was not fully fit. Hamilton targeted Horner initially, but I felt he did fine and pushed forward effectively a few times. Tremarco quieter than sometimes but also had a couple of chances. Mckay did well, particularly as playing through an injury, whilst Meekings played on after a heavy knock, which is probably why he stayed back all second half. Tansey and Draper were solid enough in front if the defence, and protected the "walking wounded". I cannot criticise Vigurs today, whilst Cole could turn out to be a find if we can keep hold of him. His goal gave him confidence and he was a real livewire: my man of the match. Mulraney's pace was troubling Hamilton, but he sometimes lacks judgement and keeps the ball too long. Doumbouya was his normal self, and held the ball better than sometimes. Is Doran struggling? Surprised he did not come off the bench. The ref was poor again. An encouraging afternoon, only lacking a winning goal. And at risk of being controversial, the flares, by both sets of fans, were unnecessary.

  5. Possession is one thing but we cut them open time and time again. Yes blind man's bluff and pin the tail on the donkey would have been more appropriate than holding the whistle and the cards.

  7. Larnell Cole was a merry wee soul, and a tricky wee old soul was he; He called for the middle of the field Where he played with the fiddlers three. Every fiddler had a fine fiddle, and a very fine fiddle had he; Oh there's none so rare as can compare With Larnell Cole and his fiddlers three.

  8. I was under the interest you needed at least two designated keepers in the matchday squad. Even then though, seemingly Esson is fit. Does beg the question though, in the unlikely event we did need to play an outfield player in goal, who would be? Josh Meekings would be the best choice IMHO (for obvious reasons!).

  9. No idea why there is such feeling towards tansey on here, one of our most gifted players. His form may have dropped off but name a player who hasn't this season, we know his qualities and based on our limited resource and options he's better than most. There may be factors from last season affecting him only he knows that, but perhaps the new management or tactics don't use him effectively enough? There and over worse performers this season but seems he is being made a scapegoat by some and they want him out, much like Hughes last year - if Greg goes who next to vent at?

  10. You'd be surprised how easy it is to start a rumour on Twitter or somewhere like CTO or Pie and Bovril and have a journalist pick up on it and then run with it.

  11. There's no question that Tansey hasn't hit the same peaks he once did after the sorry transfer saga with Aberdeen in January but I'm still a massive fan of the guy. He's still one of our best players even playing below par and the first name on the team sheet pretty much every week he is available. I feel he's almost become symbolic of ICT since his return such is his importance to the side. Sadly I think his departure is inevitable and whilst he may not have been at his brilliant best over the last few months I would still be very sad to see him go. Patchy form or not if he decided to stay with us even for another season I'd be delighted.

  13. How can we think that the Dons will continue to be interested in a player who can so easily be depressed, or gone off the boil through disappointment or feel aggrieved at what he may feel is his divine right to a transfer on demand to better his career, or even just plain boredom or such, just baffles me. The owners of Aberdeen F.C. are ambitious (because they have invested tons of money in their new stadium for one thing) and need players who will constantly have a forward-looking and positive attitude to their game and who will give their all for the club. Otherwise, Jimmy, it's....TTFN...... Ta Ta For Now. And perhaps it would not be a good thing for Miles Storey to return to ICT, deflated in his ambitions. It might overwhelm him and lead to him turning into another player with a definite lack of interest. Frank Kelly speaking, methinks it's not good to go back, only forward into the unknown. If it fails and it hurts then that's fine since you will have learned another of life's lessons one of which is either to put more effort into your place in the scheme of things or quit and move on until you do find your niche. Been there, done that, like.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.
