  1. My point exactly, I wonder if many people would find the linking of such cowardly attacks with a cheap joke at the victim's expense so funny if the consequences of the attack had turned out to be a lot worse. How many people are killed or permanently damaged by attacks like this every year? Quite a few. But I dont think that has anything to do with the initial humourous juxtaposition. Have a look at what YOU do find funny, birdog.
  2. LOL - I doubt it ! morning meeting probably, likely to be at the stadium, and will probably have to ask for a couple of sugars in my coffee. but that suits me. And a long straw.
  3. Then, unless he fancies a kickaround it is poo that we didnt buy some decent cover.
  4. Sitting 5th, scoring freely, defence solidish...is this any way for relegation contenders to carry on! Several tipsters have put us down for The Drop this season. I suggest - and yes, I realise that I could be chicken counting here - that we compile a list of contenders for The Graham Spiers Annual ICT Hat award for Central-belt Bias and all round Lack of Belief. So from the BBC website, J'accuse Chick Young and Billy Dodds. BBC Start of season predictions Any others professionals been shortsighted and ignorant?
  5. I will maybe order one with "Mainstand Sweetie-rustler" on it.
  6. "I will not be signing Dods" is that as in "I will be at going to manage Dundee Utd"?
  7. Bloody bloody lucky. Brewster gambled and very nearly cocked it right up. Hope it was wrth the gamble.
  8. 1-1 Paul Tosh. Oh Dear.
  9. Gosh! And we're only 3 games in! Still 6th, eh? We'll be happy if we can maintain that form for the rest of the season!
  10. I say 3-0 for the Blues!
  11. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha Coool. Looks like he managed to pull Sue Pollard. Hi-de-Hi Dan!
  12. Daddy Brew ain't gonna like that. Wev'e already got a bad boy!
  13. I was very disappointed. As I was explaining to my "occasional" neighbour that we would get beaten by a few, but would score at least one. That is the way of these things. If only they had chosen a side with a bit more class, someone like, say, Hamilton Accies!
  14. Bobby Mann looked no bigger than he did when he was with us, and has lost none of the positional sense that saw him a permanent fixture in ours side. If he moved for geography - Hello Mrs Mann - how come he is now at Peterheid? I bet he would jump at the chance to get back here. I know a bargain whe I see one! And get Sheerin too, while yer at it.
  15. Haha on the money there Scotty. We are still the wee pretenders. The BBC site also has the pundits making their prediction and yes, 5 out of 7 of the usual suspects go for ICT to go down. Notable exception is Annie Walker who already has had his fingers burned, if I recall correctly. Bring it on!
  16. Great in principle, but no good unless you got the shot, Mantis.
  17. That's the spirit! Rosco should open a vein and Shearer shood drink his blud while rolling nekkid in an ICT flag and swearing on his wife and childrens lifes that there will never be another team and that he has wept the bitter tears of regret every night since Tam Cowan held him up for a nation to ridicule. Then buy everyone a pie and dance the Tarantella with Marius till both are sick. Then buys Dave Millroy a pint.
  18. Comments about the glory days of SP are on the money. Based on a flawed model of these pre-season games, we are likely to be a lot more free-scoring this season than last, though similarly leaky. Barrowman will put them away, he is the targetman we have been searching for. Imrie, Vigurs, yes even Rory, and the usual suspects will all get goals. Barry looks very hungry and should ge the security of an extended contract. He is still an inspiration. The real problem is at the other end. Easson looked good and will keep Mikey on his toes, but the return of McGuire brought no joy. He seems to be the first to allocate blame after every goal. Both Perth goals came right through the middle and were the result of errors rather than quality play. I canna understand why they are chasing strikers to "expand our attacking options" when they are down to zero choice in mid defence. Deeply scary.
  19. *raises hand* I have never forgotten that night on "Off The Ball". Like getting dumped by text, finding out that your management team was leaving by a smirking smug red-faced balloon. If I had known this before I bought my season ticket this would have gone in the Cons column. Is this some sort of retiral old boys club? There will soon be no room up the Heathmount. How much is he getting paid? Was this not done as a part-timer before?
  20. Most of the folk round me took this game in the spirit in which it was intended, and laughed at the end, but witha sorry shake of the head. It seemed like we had just taken up where we had left off. Same leaky defance, same lack of bite up front, long ball, duff passes. but Barrowman seemed to build on the Clach game and rose to the occasion. He will do good for us. Lionel has a deft touch on the tackle, big long legs like Tokers, but not good distribution. We can hope that he will improve under a good manager. Wood, not sure, there may be something there. We'll see after Saturday. McGuire's absence can only be a good thing, but there is still that Dods shaped hole in defence. Two left backs aint the answer, nor probably is Proc in the middle. Money needing spent. Vigurs goal was top notch, and I look forward to watching him closer. Zander will hopefully be given the chance to contribute, and Imrie is missed when he is not there. As for Marius - keep the phone lines clear. I cant help feeling that the pie is 90% mixed. A couple of more ingredients, and we are cooking. When does that pesky window close?
  21. Being Ross-shire based, I would love for County to join us in the SPL - when my neighbours mention football, I have to say things like, oh yeah they won the 2nd at a trot didn't they? Inside I am smirking furiously, as I try to find something interesting t say which doesnt alter the fact that they are streets, or as we say in Ross-shire, acres behind us. I dont think they will win it, and even if they did, I dont think they could sustain it. They will never steal fans from us, now that we have consolidated in the SPL. However, counterintuitively, I think it would be a win/win, as footie in the area would benefit. I wish them success, as we have nothing to fear.
  22. It is a shame as he could have worked well with Dailly, Burke, Weir and Adam, but I am not sure in which order.
  23. My thoughts exactly. We are in the top rank of Scottish footie, punching well above our weight (percapita), got some interesting new signings, Brew has super tan. The new season is about to unfold before us, and I for one am well up for it. I think, there will be many pleasant surprises before next May. And no way in **** are we going to be relegated. We have been spoiled by our meteoric rise, and if we never get any further, we have every reason to be happy. I am no "happy clapper". I too have been long and loud in my condemnation of some of the onfield stuff and also have my doubts as to some of the business decision. But we should be able to approach the new season with a heart full of hope. As for those smiling faces below, how many of them have never again set foot in the park. The glory days are just the icing on the cake, not the cake itself.
  24. After all the stirring ironic "Sebo" chants, just think what fun could have been had here! Footballer with funny name
  25. Great afternoon out, just like the old days - accordion music at half time on a rcikety PA. "Wetsering home (to the Ferry)", I am pretty sure contains the line something like "the Caley can go and **** themselves", which te PA man turned up just in time. I am seriously thinking of buying this one, if I cant fileshare it, in the Ferry way, natch. The footie was a walk in the park, with our defence being untested. The midfield we know, as being pretty close to first choice. All looked good, special mention for me to Proctor, who grows in stature, he is going to have a few people eating their harsh words this season. Lionel needs to speed up a great deal, but impressed going forward with the ball at his feet, better 2nd than first half. His shot actually ended up further away from the goal than when he kicked it. Truly spectacular. Barrowman found the right positions, but coudn't finish. We'll put that down to nerves. Evans looked worth having, if the price is right, seemed to be a great competitor. Looking forward to our feeder team on Tuesday. Just like a swap shop really.
