  1. Not looking very good for us but as soon as I post this we'll score. Er, hopefully. There, what did I just say !
  2. Aye Barrowboy needs to pull his finger out OK - aimless display yesterday. Michael Fraser should get his act together too - faffs about far too much. Give Esson a couple of games Brew.
  3. Nothing to disagree with there IHE. Blackie definitely our star man yesterday. He parted company with his shirt after being subbed which wasn't at all surprising.
  4. Totally agree. Our fans are persecuted in the North Stand yet when we look down the other end we see the away fans standing, jumping up and down and clearly flaunting the rules. Not only are the police down there but stewards too and they don't seem bothered one bit. Yes, a bit of consistency would be more than welcome.
  5. From what I've read here this was a very bad day at the office indeed. Oh dear, but there's next week against the Jambos..........
  6. I'm sure we'll do much better against the Jambos next Saturday too. Let's have some full hearted singing at Tynecastle !
  7. Absolutely nothing wrong with gingers whatsoever. I've known a couple who were pure honeys.
  8. Aye, good luck Andy. I think it'll be a classic final with the form he's in just now. If only the Scotland squad was made up of 11 Andy Murrays. If only, if only...................... COME ON ANDY !!!
  9. Pretty depressing display this afternoon. The Iceland match on Wednesday has now turned into a crucial game for our World Cup prospects. Just why is it that Scotland managers have an Old Firm fixation ? They certainly aren't the best players in Scotland and their sides are shored up by slightly more talented foreign players. Far more imagination required in team selection Mr Burley.
  10. I emailed Setanta to complain about the coverage they gave to the Aberdeen v Caley Thistle match. Still waiting for a reply.
  11. Aye, A Bridge and a Castle is fine but spare us One Man Went to Mow please. Give me a C, give me an A, Give me an L, etc needs to be heard much more often too.
  12. Robert Plant, Bon Scott, Roger Daltrey. Tough call.
  13. Having been pretty critical of them in the past I'll say that tonight's The Full SPL on Setanta gave a bit better coverage to ICT's match yesterday against Falkirk than they've given to our games in the past. Dougie Imrie's goal was a cracker and Don Cowie's was fecking good too.
  14. Superb result against a good side. Well done to the boys and Brew too - is he getting the hang of this substitution business at last ? There's absolutely no doubt that Caley Thistle are a passing side who play their best football with the ball at feet and on the ground. Forget this punting high balls up the park - that's mince. Once again, very well done. ;) :015: :thumb04: :018:
  15. I'd really like to hear this but I've been having problems with the BBC iPlayer lately. I heard on the Brian Burnett show tonight that the listen again facility was experiencing technical problems which the Beeb was working on. Hope they get it fixed.
  16. From the BBC website:- Inverness CT 23 Esson 02 Tokely 05 McGuire 15 Cowie 03 Djebi-Zadi 07 Wilson 24 Duff 08 Black 27 Vigurs 10 McAllister 22 Wood Substitutes 01 Fraser, 09 Rooney, 11 Imrie, 13 Barrowman, 16 Hastings
  17. Pretty experimental. Good luck to the lads whatever the line-up.
  18. The club must address the central issue of attracting more people to watch our games. The crowds for the first two home games at the TCS have been, to put it mildly, disappointing. The more people who attend games the more people likely to buy merchandise, half-time refreshments, etc. We must be forward thinking in terms of marketing the club - look at the likes of Man Utd, Rangers, Celtic it's all about marketing there. Some fresh and perhaps more importantly some imaginative thinking required.
  19. Joe Bonomassa - High Water Everywhere from Live from nowhere in particular
  20. Does anyone know what happened to the MFR DJ Dave Cochrane ? In the 1990s he used to have a really brilliant rock show on a Saturday evening where he played music by the Stones, Nils Lofgren, Springsteen, Big Country - stuff like that. Is he still DJing ?
  21. A Bridge and a Castle is a classic football song - so simple but sums up Sneck in two words. I was sitting at the edge of Section G at the Hamilton Intellectuals match and after the lady steward waded in checking tickets and telling the boys they were in the wrong seats the singing and hence the atmosphere died there and then. If we're not allowed singing and chanting to back the team then the whole meaning goes out of being a supporter. Come on Caley Thistle get a grip and let the boys have a song or two.
  22. Totally agree with that myself. If I still lived in Sneck I would certainly be a season ticket holder. Living where I do I try to do my best to support the team at away matches and an occasional trip north for a home game. Like so much else it's an expensive day with the cost of fuel to be taken into account.
  23. It would be great to see him back - our defence just hasn't been the same since he left. Hope this move comes off.
  24. I was speaking to someone at the weekend on this subject who said there was a relatively short-lived record shop in Inglis Street in the 1980s. She couldn't remember the name but it was above street level and had a window at the back of the shop. Could have been roughly where the coffee shop is now. Any thoughts ?
