  1. It's difficult for us...... So many of your players can be so anonymous and very forgettable.
  2. :025: :025: :025:
  3. Because it's interesting.
  4. Aww c'mon Mannie... That penalty against Ayr came in the 95th minute and I couldn't remember a single stoppage during the second half! All I can surmise is that somebody up there likes us, plus a guy called S.MacDonald. I suppose it could be argued that Rosscoe's sending off in last season's Falkirk game might be viewed in the same light as that one the other night. It is astonishing how many crucial results come out of some extremely dubious refereeing decisions. I want us to win promotion as much as anyone, but by our own efforts - not handed to us on a plate. Oh.... and we still would have won comfortably against County even without the sending off.

I think Rene feels that Eric is cheating Lionel out of a possible starting place....
  6. Don't really want to make a big issue out of this, but did anyone else notice that Tuesday night's ref was the same guy that gave us a very dubious penalty award against Ayr United a few weeks ago, (in stoppage time) which secured us a scarcely deserved 3-3 draw?
  7. You are becoming a regular, Smee! Good on Ya - maybe it's you who has brought us a bit of good luck! :004:
  8. Yes... I BELIEVE. But I have to keep reminding myself round about this time last year I also believed we would escape relegation.
  9. Clip here from a Courier article Feb 9th.... The club hope to appoint a permanent successor for the stadium announcer's role, and has invited interested parties to get in touch. They are also keen to develop ways, electronically and by video highlights of benefitting supporters who cannot attend matches, and would be happy to hear from people who feel they could be of help in this respect, the spokesman added.
  10. I think that's a tad harsh Renegade..... What the team may lack in basic skills they more than make up for in terms of honest endeavour and committment. TB is entitled to take a huge slice of credit for bringing that about. He's certainly had a few ups and downs since he took the job on, and would probably admit a few mistakes were made along the road. Some weird transformation with the team seemed to kick in around mid-January - I would guess that TB layed it on the line, and told them that unless the team won promotion, their career prospects would be virtually zilch. He may not have the most highly skilled, or individually talented players you'll ever see in a squad.... but by God, he's certainly bringing the best he can out of them now.

Agree with Harry that Hayes could be rested for this one....and possibly Rooney as well. These guys have really been working their socks off. Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golly Proctor McBain Ross Sanchez Odhiambo Foran Subs... Allison, Rooney, Hayes, Eagle.
  12. So have all the concerns you set out on this post now been answered to your complete satisfaction? Quote : Can't say I was overly surprised by the (non) response to my question regarding stadium ownership/lease. I'm not denying that the club got themselves out of a hole by selling the club, what I am questioning is the fact that when this was done we were led to believe that the new owners would be a charitable trust and not a company which is all but owned and controlled by a single person. As I've stated before, the proposal of using a Charitable Trust appealed to people and gained favour because we were led to believe that once the Trust got into a position where debt was cleared then it would act for the benefit of the footballing and sports community. In short, we sold the club on the cheap on the basis that their might be some long term benefit for everyone. As it now appears, the club was, IMO, stolen from under our noses and put into private hands. If the club are not willing to answer the question as to why this happened, then perhaps I should now direct my enquiries to the higher profile public figures who make up the Board of the Dormant Trust (which was suppose to receive stadium ownership) to ask why they have remained tight lipped on the affair, but are quite happy that their membership of that board be used on CV's and in public as some kind of status symbol? In fact, why does the Trust continue to exist at all, if not as an attempt to maintain the smokescreen? As I understand it, the Trust Board Members have and may still include a number of influential local businessmen, councillors, an ex provost and a member of the Scottish Parliament.
  13. I always knew he would turn out to be the best manager we've ever had, and that he would go on from here to become the best manager in the world. Never doubted his ability for a moment....
  14. Who do I fear now? NO ONE
  15. According to this forecast it should be dry. There might be a cold 25mph wind blowing straight into the South Stand, but who cares about that? See here.

    Yeap..... Backs to the wall!
  17. Robbo covering both games? His versatility knows no bounds.
  18. That's a very fair point Jeepsaw.... Hopefully, when we are back where we belong in the SPL, TB's caption, if he is ever back on STV on Champions League nights, will read Terry Butcher, Manager of Inverness Caley Thistle FC, and not former captain of Rangers FC.

I thought you already had that job.
  22. And with a 12.30 kick off will mean a ridiculously early start for their travelling support. I've also heard that chairman McGreggor won't be making the trip, as it will interfere with his church schedules... Ah well.
  23. 'Cos there wasn't a game on at Fir Park on Saturday.
  24. You could get into the Top 5.... :P
