MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
If this is the same Krasnodar I regularly visited when working in Southern Russia then AR should think very long and very hard about it. It's a wasteland populated with alcoholics and local mafia thugs. The football is brutal, AR would be knocked about like a rag doll and spend more time on the treatment table when he wasn't trying to fend off the approaches of local 'businessmen'. I hope he has an ambition to live a complete hermit's life for the duration of his contract because he'll find there is nothing remotely entertaining or distracting save the discoteks that make Elgin nightspots circa 1971 (cite. IHE match preview) seem like the millionaire's club at the Copacabana. Adam, I wish you well in whatever move you make. But think about it hard my lad.

Man U vs Liverpool
Interesting that immediately after the game, with several cup matches still to be played even, ITV made the next round draw. Actually made a feature of it with representatives from the armed forces doing the draw. All very commendable and great that the fans have the next round to talk about on Monday morning. Well done the FA - you seem to understand the supporters. Up in Scotland... 2.30 on a Tuesday afternoon when most folk are at work.

That was the year that was
Dinna be daft mun, that was one of the funniest bits of banter of the season...and good to catch up with you on a couple of occasions this year. Happy New Year to all and special thanks to the girls and boys at CTO for another year of online distraction.

Calum Murray apology
Can't agree SP. No cameras, no 4th official, no retrospetive cards, no rescinding, no video replays at all...just 2 teams, 3 officials, lots of controversy and lots to talk about after!!! Support KFP - Keep Football Pure Ryan Esson saved his bacon by saving the penalty. What if Miller had scored? Would Murray then have said : Sorry boys - I cost you a couple of points there. Nothing we can do about it now, I'm afraid. One point?

Mark McGhee has left the building
The British football management merry-go-round is currently at an average waiting time of 16 months and 13 days*. If Terry and Mo fancy a move during a downturn in fortunes they just need to stick around for a few weeks and a 'plum' vacancy will pop up. Aberdeen, now, with ICT's stock so high isn't the fruity moment. Any fule kno that. *I made that up...but go prove me wrong!

Celtic Preview & Report
A great effort by the team followed by a first class match report. Great job Mary.

Older ICT fans
Very much lapsed Stanton-era Hibee. Home games. Black, Blackley, Cropley, O'Rourke, Duncan, Schaedler etc etc. Real men, real fitba...then George Best killed it. Nothing against the legend that is GB, but, I mean... Then ICT presented a link to my Highland forebears and one inebriated evening later I was a shareholder, fan, match reporter, old git and, glory hunter (thanks Yngwie) when I turned up at Hampden. Journeys up and down the A9 and to the shires in the company of the LOTSW crew have been hugely entertaining. Did you know that an Aberdonian was found dead on a 'pay-as-you-leave' bus? I do, Mantis told me 324 times.

Why oh why
With the ebb and flow in a game and the confidence a goal can make it's perhaps not surprising that teams can often appear to play in two different mindsets during a game depending on the momentum. I remember this time last year it was the same but we were far from happy, rightly, with either the performances or our prospects in the league. It's a funny old game.

Away Support / Atmosphere
Jings, this thread again. It is exactly what everyone is saying. At home the vocalists are spread about, the stewarding is bizarre (for 'home' stewards) and the watering hole too distant. Away you have, these days, a sensible place to congregate next to the ground with the opposition fans and a good deal of banter and alcohol, a compacted support that provides the team with a focus point...Eric, next time you score an important goal at Ibrox, the other corner, ok? THE OTHER CORNER! There must be a lot of pressure for these young guys. Even in front of 2019 (WTF?) supporters yesterday the pressure to perform must be fairly intense...and public. A couple of hundred adoring away supporters are bound to make you feel a bit more comfy than 3000 of your own kind ready to jump on your back at the first opportunity! And don't forget there are hundreds of us out here who are away day specialists because we don't live north of Aviemore. Never have. My grandmother was an Invernesian...so when Naelifts suggested we buy shares in 'this new SFL club' I thought, yep...let's do it. The 90s, Caley Inn, Innes, TCS...fantastic; away days - among the best days of my life. The players (and Terry and Mo) are simply responding to a lessening of pressure and an unapologetic worshipping. Wouldn't you perform better?

John Robertson
Suppose this means his dulcet tones and sensible observations will not be gracing 'Open all Mics' on Saturdays. He had a great contribution last weekend when he informed Chico that Skacel WILL SCORE from this free kick...hoof, goal! Cue Chick greeting...and much hilarity from the other commentators! Good luck JR.
