How significant is Greg Tansey to the side
CELTIC1CALEY3 replied to Eagle4Caley's topic in Caley Thistle
Let's reserve judgement until 5pm on Saturday. He should absolutely enjoy playing on Celtic Park. -

Sorry, I called it Victoria Park. It is of course the Global Dodgy Lights Stadium.- 129 replies

I think this has to be the icing on the cake!! For those not at Victoria Park last night, Kiss let out a blood curdling screetch that echoed around Vic Park when he went up with Richie for a header and then collapsed in a heap. The referee saw nothing wrong. Shortly afterwards he fell over near the touchline looking for another dubious free kick. Nothing was given. Adams has been campaigning for some time to get Jim Goodwin disciplined and after the 2-1 win over St Mirren campaigned for Vincent Lunny to act. I am pleased to announce that Adams wish has indeed been granted..........http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26358828 Given the strict line the Ross County announcer told us his club had ''about anyone found swearing...'' it will be interesting to see if Danny Lennon, should he be found guilty of ''Lennon is also accused of repeated use of offensive and insulting language.'' is allowed back into Victoria Park!!!- 129 replies

Derek Adams has confirmed that he has asked Vincent Lunny to serve a notice of complaint on the Ross County fan about to throw his Tenants Lager can at Marley. Marley is apparently a Real Ale fan!!- 129 replies

We are going to take this seriously. Butcher and others did not know how to get a win according to the Herald................''Terry Butcher achieved many things during his time as Inverness manager but beating rivals Ross County on their own patch was not one of them. The mantle has now been passed to Hughes who will look to end a decade-long drought by leading Inverness to an El Kessocko victory away from home for the first time since August 2004. You have to go even further back to find the last time Inverness triumphed in Dingwall on league duty, goals from Richie Hart and Barry Robson sealing a 2-0 victory back in March 2003.''

4th or 5th March was an option surely, but Billy would be unavailable as could some Hibs players if selected for international duty. If we draw against Dundee United (which must be a great probability) the Hibs game might be postponed to allow the replay.

BA do you or anyone else need a lift? Just me going so free car spaces if anyone needs one.

Yogi's influence is amazing. He gets Inverness relegated, we downsize, then come back stronger and more determined, encourage Butcher, Malpass and Tubby to exit, Yogi re-emerges with Russell, and as part of a big all round team effort, takes us to a cup final. In addition he shows enormous respect to Stranraer when Brewster and Butcher would have bodged it, and we then secure another windfall against Dundee United. Credit also the the unsung heroes in the back office up to chairman for their dedication, and even Tommy for preparing the Tuesday pitch ready for practice in case Dingwall becomes a sandpit again next Tuesday. Now we need to overcome our recent poor form in Perth and see what happens next.

Pepper is massively determined. Greenhalgh has got talent.
-
A good point but the covers are likely to protect the surface.
-
Just a small point about the need for a very sharp defence, Stranraer have scored in their last 27 senior games!!!

Hibs are not that well off. They paid us good money for the Three Mercenaries and with dropping crowds need to watch that their debt situation is one the soon to be debt free Hearts gets the final laugh. Historically Hibs have at times been a big club. If Butcher does not get them a top 6 finish they will rely on getting it right at the start of next season. That is high risk because in the season afterwards Rangers, and possibly Hearts, will be back with a bang. Hibs is not really an attractive option for ambitious players.

Time for an update. Which teams will finish 11th and 12th? It is certainly lining up to be exciting. Hearts take on Celtic in their next game and sod's law is that Hamell scores in the 29th minute to stop Forster beating Bobby Clark's shut out record by one minute!! However, they remain firm favourites for the Championship. At present Partick are probably the favourites to join them albeit for a play off.

Which celebrities will be there to support ICT? Viv Richards? Pippa Middleton?

Give credit to Hearts who rode their luck!!

Sensible move by James. After his injury he needs to settle down and regain his position in the team. Hibs are unlikely to go anywhere so that was a big risk. He has good mates in Inverness and if he looked to Owen Tudor Jones we would have seen a sad decision maker. Ross Draper is almost certain to sign given his decision to buy a house here and the fact Yogi indicated he was optimistic that he would. Ross is part of a good group of guys and retaining a settled group augurs well for next season. Yogi and Russell are settling in and when everything gels, we can get moving again. Fair play to James that he retained his loyalty for Inverness.

'Play the strongest team for every game and never underestimate the opposition' T Butcher after Raith hammered Hibs and S McCall after Albion Rovers eliminated Motherwell not forgetting D Adams after Stranraer beat Ross County in the League Cup. The same applies to supporters - when Aberdeen's supporters started singing 'we are the champions' early on at Pittodrie, this inspired ICT to raise a gear whilst Aberdeen began to believe they were European Champions again.

Steve Marsella has left the building.
CELTIC1CALEY3 replied to TheCommissioner's topic in Caley Thistle
My own view about Ben Williams is that he is 2 stone under weight and he should listen to Marsella's dietary advice. If he was much heavier he would have more chance of filling the goal area. Keep telling him Steve! There is no point having a Pat Fenlon size keeper working hard to help Hibs into the top six. -
Terry went to Hibs for the cash and capital Wine Bars and a chance to move full time into TV punditry. He has his retirement home in East Anglia so failure at Hibs is not a problem for him. Am reliably informed Hibsbounce will be renamed Hibsdeflated if Terry creates the history he craved at Inverness and takes them on a long run of defeats. So big game for us in March sometime when we entertain Hibs. Terry could have taken a team to a cup final this year but has chickened out on two fronts now.
-
Hope that is not proven when we meet them in Dingwall shortly.
-
Stranraer will fancy their chances the more our supporters assume they will get through the replay. Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United are currently in a sound position.

To be fair to the referee, who was right in front of the incident, black eyed Josh's movement for the trip did look like it came from an escaped panda from Edinburgh Zoo. Great news but we are still 38 days from the cup final and a lot will happen between now and then to potentially change line ups on both sides. Meekings against Rooney should be interesting providing Richie looks after Jonny and, if he plays, Carl keeps winding up the Ginger Winge-er.
