  1. 810mw has game coverage. Get your old skool radios out for this one.
  2. Wont make it along, if Raven is out, I'd perfer to see Meekings moved out to RB and Devine drafted in alongside Warren. Would like to see what impact palying both Greenhalgh & Watkins would have, but being as this is a cup QF, I want to go with a winning set-up that proven than try experimenting. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Foran Doran Watkins Ross Mckay
  3. HT - ICT 1-0 DUFC FT - ICT 2-0 DUFC ICT 1st scorer - Watkins DUFC 1st scorer - Cifti Time of 1st goal - 25 mins
  4. Sfa need to hit them hard for this. Last year many games were postponed due to the rain and then they had that abomination of a pitch, now its the electrics when it rains. Roy claims none of this is the club's fault - sorry but they have to take responsibility for their facilities. Total farce and this is still good weather, lucky this was a local derby and not too many fans are greatly inconvenienced unlike an opponent who travelled a lot further. Action needs taken on this immediately at all levels.
  5. Looks like its yet another postponed derby game at tinkerville.
  6. He had a poor game against St J, but has delivered in games last season, if he was as bad as you think then the club wouldnt have kept him for this year. There are others who IMO have performed worse this season and still get touted for starting positions. Personally I want to see the best team start for the tactics we need to win, an experienced team who can go to Dingwall - last away game we were out muscled and over run in the midfield - teams know if they kill our 3 of Doran, Ross & A.N other then Billy gets no service - we need to control the midfield and get Foran using his physicaility to support Billy and hold up the ball.
  7. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Devine Doran Foran Ross McKay
  8. HT: 0-1 FT: 1-2 1st ICT: Foran 1st Opp: Brittan Time of 1st Goal: 18 mins
  9. I thought that overall we played some ok football but not as good as we have previously this season, PT came with a plan of sitting in and defending and hitting on the break and credit to them, they stuck to it and it worked. Overall I don't think we have solved the Vincent absence - I thought Greenhalgh had a decent game and looks a tricky player, but too often him, Doran & Ross were too keen to move inside or pass back than take the ball down the line and push forwards. We looked better at the back with Raven than against St J, Watkins could be a good player but I'm not sure Ross is best suited to playing the role in behind Billy. The refereeing was awful and the PT keeper had way too much protection, I hope we don't get any more games where we are so badly screwed by incompetence. Brill made an error but IMO he has done enough in previous games to show what he is worth to the team and I hope he keeps the #1 jersey. Onwards to Dungwall - we need to get the balance of the team right so I think we need to start with Toby just behind Billy as or even play Devine in midfield. Friday night won't be prety football so we need players that can show they are strong and can battle. Looks like we wont get any help from the officials to win the league since we arent from Glasgow, so better get used to doing it the hard way lol.
  10. We need to find the right balance in midfield now Vincent is out, clearly the replacements and position changes at St J didnt perform well. Where Ross, & Doran play and who comes in whether Watkins, Greenhalgh or Toby will be key. Also need Raven back fit and if he is out then Devine is not the best player for the RB position. I see Partick game as highly winnable due to being at home and their lack of goals - so we need to treat this game as a way to get the line-up and formation correct with early substitutions if required before we go away to County and then have the biggest game of the season so far in the cup.
  11. Does the World Cup need to happen, judging by the press and those associated with English football I thought they had already won it. Fantastic footballing nation with world class players that every team would fear to play - apparently.
  12. HT: 1-0 FT: 3-0 1st ICT: Mckay 1st Opp: None Time of 1st Goal: 30mins
  13. Deano could be worth a shot can't be worse than some attempts lol. Probably be foran or shinnie for the next one.
  14. Watkins or we move Doran into that role and play Greenhalgh out wide. Polworth needs more SPL experience before getting starts IMO, we need to make changes earlier than the last 10 mins of games, so guys like him & others can get a good 20-25 mins run out and adapt to the pace and physicality of the games.
  15. Even playing Meekings at RB, would we have seen the Raven style overlapping runs? Thats where we were missing down the right and Devine's distribution at times was poor. Biggest problem with Sat was not loosing as thats part of the game, but the way we lost - out-played in every area, looked disorganised and made an average St J team look better than they are. We should have known about the threat May posed and had a plan to deal with it.Last year we took a tanking to Motherwell 1-5, but IMO we player better that game than at St J and Motherwell were a far better team. This is hopefully a wake up call for all and we can swiftly get back to winning ways, but I do worry about the squad depth as nobody I have seen come in this season have been overly impressive............so far.
  16. ^Agreed, and to think we have another 10 days of this crap before a game to talk about..................
  17. Maybe all the players were offended too - that's why they refused to take part in the game *rolleyes* Never seen it at the game but I do think national flags for national games only. End off. If folks want flags they should be related to the club - logo, badge, player, this opinion relates to all matches and teams but thats just my opinion, not because it offends me but because soneone will always try look for hidden message and create an unnecessary fuss.
  18. We missed the overlapping runs from raven. The passing and distribution throughout the park was poor, nobody made runs into space or gave options for passing. Too often playing high balls which the st j defence lapped up all day. Not sure about polworth didn't look ready for this level. But for brill we would have been really hammered. Also TB took too long to make changes as first half showed it just wasnt working. disappointing but was a good away crowd today.
  19. League 2nd or 3rd league cup - win scottish cup - semi billy to get 25 league goals this season and a 7 figure offer in the summer. brill to be player of the year. TB to be next mayor of inverness. Del to get the boot before the season ends lol
  20. Terry & Mo will stay, my concern is the players/board. If we are still doing well, come Jan we could have offers for McKay, Shinnie, Draper, Doran etc - who knows we could be looking at a few key players moving on. However I'm hopeful the board would reject offers as would the players on the basis TB took them from nothing to make them better and that any Jan move would be there come the summer - stay, show loyalty and maybe get a reward at the end of the season with a cup final/trophy etc.
  21. apprently.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24360730 Although how many times have the mdeia written this - Calderwood, Brown even back to Skovdahl. On paper they IMO have the best squad outside Celtic yet are sitting 5pts off the top after 8 games, surely thats underachieving so far?
  22. HT: 0-1 FT: 1-2 1st ICT: McKay 1st Opp: May Time of 1st Goal: 25 mins
  23. Anyone recall how long any non-OF has lead the league table for in recent years, we are at 8 games, am I right thinking Hearts were at 11 or 12 before Vlad went mad and sacked his manager for being too good? What about during the season - Don's in the early 90's or Hearts back in '86?
  24. League leaders and we made it into 2nd spot on Sportscene and even a brief post match analysis about our performances rather than the plight of Hibs - maybe we are slowly getting the media coverage we deserve.
  25. Why do folks leave their houses so late then blame traffic for being late? I left the black isle just about 2pm crossing the bridge at about 2.10pm with no queue or wait then parked walked to the stadium and was there by 2.45pm - is there a reason folks try to time arriving at 2.57pm for a 3pm k.o. all the time? I also walked across the a9 and didn't think I might die which was nice, only took 4 games for the police to realise this could be a serious incident waiting to happen.
