PAY WHAT YOU WANT - ST JOHNSTONE 20TH JANUARY

Damned if they try something new to get fans in and then damned if they don't bother. #thanklesstask -
^ Agree thats probably our strongest and most effective team - perhaps Doran for Ross or Christie but none of those changes weaken us in any way. Delighted how stable and interchangable our team has become.

Well an incentive to turn up should be that if we win on Sat against DUtd then we could go 2nd with a win over st j or if Dundee beat the dons again we might even go top......after 23 games to be in either spot would be phenomenal. That's a reason to turn out at least -

Problem for the Dons is whether the players have the mental strength, if they beat DUtd in the League cup semi and presumably meet Celtic - will they implode if they loose that final? The Dons have a great chance in the League meeting Celtic just after they play Inter Milan - that is a huge game if the Dons are serious about the title. So to win the league I think they need to beat Celtic twice - in the cup and then the league game, but cant see either happening. I expect that between now and the end of the season, Aberdeen will drop points where they shouldn't and Celtic will grind out results - with possibly us being the only team to beat Celtic before the season ends. Sadly neither have looked overly impressive sides when we played them, so perhaps we still have a chance but I think if we made top 3 or 4 then that would be a massive result for us and our provincial club - especially if it means 3 of the top 4 aren't central belt or west coast!!!

For the purposes of JH watch, he was in the stand for the full first half, then started the 2nd in the dugout before moving back up to the stand after about 60 mins.......as I was watching the game I didnt spot when he returned to the dugout area. Hard graft yesterday, wasnt pretty but its 3 points and thats what matters. As said we have played better than that this season and lost, although its clear how important Draper is in the middle of the park.

Thankfully there is no link to him so I don't know why its being discussed but I for one certainly wouldn't welcome him at our club. Crime and punishment and people deserve to rebuild their lives but he shows no remorse or acknowledgement of his crime so for that reason alone I hope he never graces Scottish football. Anyway looks like he is joining another English club so no need to discuss any further. I notice D Utd have signed yet another lower league youngster and given past history over the last few years and looking at their squad they do very well at it, is this just down to the scouts or the coaching they have in place. While I accept we cant afford even small transfer fees why are we (and other SPFL clubs) not doing more to sign young players from the lower leagues?

Win a game, play well and get back on track yet all we discuss is crowds and focus on negatives? There is next to no build up for the St M game, only looking back..............everyone scared to say a positive incase they get the 'happy clapper' tag?

Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Tansey Draper Doran Christie Watkins Mckay I do think Draper had a really bad game on Sat, so was tempted to say put Shinnie in mid alongside Tansey with Tremarco at LB, but think we just add more creativity through Christie and Doran, although seeing Nick get a chance would be nice.

Haha, I love this story, by offering his resignation his salary increases back to its pre cut level it seems? So they have a manager who now is working 12 months notice because of their contract T&C's and lack of cash...................got to love this story :D http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30475395

Yip, the players sat around before the game and thought lets loose 4-0, I think they showed at times they did their best to try score? So beating Celtic and loosing only 1-0 at Parkhead doesnt demonstrate professionalism that they can compete against the best, what about sitting 2nd in the league? As for the cup game, between now and then a lot can change at both clubs, players come and go, injuries - I for one still expect us to have a good chance of progress - to write the team off on one bad result is lunacy.

Bad day at the office, it happens - get over it and move on. Still 2nd in the League in mid Dec, one bad result and people are questioning the competency of the players, ability of the manager and commitment or our captain. Seriously get a grip, its ONE game!!!! All teams loose games.

BBC to screen The Rangers V Raith http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30435522 Assuming Sky will show Dundee V Celtic? This mean we can expect our all SPFL game to be Sat at 3pm?

Biggest difference this year to last is we are going to have stability and not be going through a transition. Other than St J away where we sometimes struggle all the above are winnable games. Given our small squad if we stay clear of suspensions, injuries and Yogi rotates to prevent tiredness and burn out there is no reason we shuldnt be looking to win them all.

The double is still on, but the treble is only the domain of teams left in the League cup - Celtci & DUtd as I dont consider winning the lower leagues as being worthy of a treble consideration

I see today the press are linking Kenny Shields, ICT fans could have told that weeks ago as he sat in the main stand when we played Motherwell............is this another example of the press not paying attention to what is going on at our club? I'm sure had it been Aberdeen, DUtd or any central belt club Motherwell played that day the story linking KS would have been in the pages next day.
