  1. I do believe that bus is turning left from Strothers Lane into the Farraline Park bus station in an era when the ramp up to MacRae and Dick can still be seen behind it. Judging from what looks like an Austin 1800 and the very short skirt on the girl who appears to be wearing a Royal Academy blazer, the photo may date from the mid/late 60s to the early 70s. The tin shed on the right of the photo is also long gone. But to return to topic - I have only been on the Caley Club bus once, for last October's derby. I could certainly recommend it, except that when I came back out of the stadium after that particular 3-1 home win I jumped on to the bus in the layby with the words "Is this the Caley Club bus. I looked up just as one of a number of very glum faces replied: "No! This bus is going to Dingwall!" It was a very long five steps back off that bus amid robust abuse The car is an Austin 1300, if you look closely you can see the badge to the right of the rear number plate KST 344J
  2. I think this should be moved to General Nonsense!
  3. Great result and good support today including one ex Caley rebel seen in the North stand with his grandson. It is never to late to come back!
  4. I totally agree, it sounds terrible! Much better with the old First Division.
  5. Was that not the original Wine Shed beyond the main stand? I have vague recollections of my first footballing experience in Inverness, being in among the Clachers in the Wine Shed, and being scared at all the shouting, and the heady smell of booze. All the Clach stands were like that! The first football match I attended was there after climbing over the wall and not being to impressed I went to Telford Street and started supporting Caley.
  6. The one above does look good and there are 2 large black stripes each side of the top!
  7. The first time I took my son aged about 6 to a Clach V Caley game at Grant Street Charlie Christie was getting lots of abuse from the Clach fans. I was hoping he was not going to ask what they were singing and if he did I would just say he worked in a bank! He grew up fine like most children hearing things in school and other places that were not said in the house and have done him no harm.
  8. I can get to my work in 7 or 8 minutes! Is that a real job you have now?
  9. I can get to my work in 7 or 8 minutes! Is that a real job you have now?
  10. Think you have been in the bar tonight!
  11. The problem was caused by the guy manually putting the lights at the roundabout to ALL RED so us pedestrians could cross the road! Never had the problems when we had the Traffic Wardens doing the same job with larger crowds in the past. Bring back the Wardens and just have the lights on at peak times!
  12. *** VOTING IN THE POLL ABOVE IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WERE AT THE MATCH ONLY *** If you were at the match, please use the poll above to vote for your top 3 players. As a bit of fun, we have also added an option to rate the referee .... Please make sure you vote for 3 separate players. If you make an error, let us know so we can fix it. PLEASE ONLY VOTE ABOVE IF YOU WERE AT THE GAME or WATCHING LIVE STREAM DURING COVID RESTRICTIONS Anyone caught trying to cheat the system WILL be banned from voting in ALL site polls...this is your only warning. **NOT at the game ?** As a result of requests received, we have made a slight change to how these threads work for site users who watched the game on TV or listened to the full game live on the radio ....... You too will now be able to cast your votes, but should do it in the thread below, and NOT in the official poll above. Just list the three players of your choosing and award 5,3, or 1 point(s). You can give the ref a mark if you want too ! These votes will NOT be counted in the official total, as we only count votes from those who where actually at the game, but it IS a way for you to participate in the process .... which many people asked for .... a happy medium we hope !!!!!
  13. We should not get carried away after tonight's performance I think they have rested their main players for the game on Saturday!
  14. Later on in that BBC Scotland documentary, the same guy who couldn't recognise a pineapple, even with hefty clues, was shown a turnip and thought it was a cabbage.

Got it in and working from BT 70 meg download and 20 meg upload much faster than the old 5-6 meg! That is on fibre to the cabinet which is about 300m from my house then on copper via a pole to my house. There will be a slight loss the further you are away from the cabinet. Not all of Inverness is being done including Culloden. They have started in Dingwall and Fort William.
  19. I am glad they won the first game, a friend of mine was going over with his 15 year old son and it was going to cost them £500 each (drink not included) a nice trip but very expensive. I am happy with our final position last season!
  20. Good match report, well done for the report and the team!
