Can't agree with you there. Governments have a right to expect that their sportsmen will be safe and protected when guests in another country. They wern't safe so they were called home. Quite right. Thats is true but CAF will just be looking at the fact that the president of the country overruled the FA and the players. For good reason i would have thought though. Reasons given were alot to do with the lack of support from CAF. I think they feel embarrassed so are coming down with an iron fist. It seems a bit daft to completely change your team around halfway into a season and then get them to gel without the aid of a pre-season, but Tony Mowbrays a manager and those guys are always informing us, and the media, that we know nothing about football. I've not been impressed by a single Mowbray signing. That Ki guy looks ok but Im pretty sure Strachan sorted that out before he left. And I dont know what logic there is in selling your top goalscorer and best attacker (IMO) and bringing in two loan signings who will be offski come the end of the season once they realise that Scottish football is no picnic and a bit dire.

Complete farce and pretty tasteless. Prior to this development Togo stated that they wanted to stay in the competition, however the lack of support saw them withdraw. Perhaps this is CAF reacting to that. I've said before that the organisations in African football are a joke and this proves it beyond any doubt. I agree with the above notion that Togo should withdraw from the tournament. The only problem being is that the qualifiers are also the qualifiers for the world cup. So will they be allowed take place in the qualifiers for it then not go, but be allowed to the World Cup? I honestly dont have a clue how anyone could come to a decision like this. Beyond baffling. Its just a sport despite what that **** of a Liverpool manager said. Its not that important and the events which involved Togo happen it just shows that its pretty meaningless. Maybe the CAF are annoyed that Togo went and got all shot up, thus taking all the attention away from their showpiece. It would not suprise me.

Have the club ever approached Scotty or CaleyD for either assistance or advice? A good website doesn't need to be a big flash powered nonsensical mess. It just needs to have up to date relevant material presented in a consise and well layed out manner.

See that Andrew Shinnie has went back on loan to Dundee. I dont ever know why we are not more proactive on loaning players. Fair enough we got bad eggs in the likes of Fetai and mackie but if done correctly loans can be worked superbly. John Highes at Falkirk knows how to work the system well and we should look to follow his lead. There are young hungry kids out there above the level of SFL football but would benefit greatly from 1st team football.

He'll probably be away with a few others come the seasons end so lets hope he can step up and do a job until then. If not then no great loss.

He is just a young guy, playing at 1st team level for the 1st time. Some take longer than others to adapt to it. Then you've got the fact he's travelled 500 miles to a new club with new people around him and a new City. Not everyone settles in as quickly as we all would like.

I wasn't back seat mod'ing (not intentially) just enquiring as to whether it was getting into a completely different realm. I figured that as mods had commented on the subject outwith topic it was deemed ok to continue in the vain it was. But i get that giving you the heads up be best. Its just that its such a depressing change of tone, from a potential new signing, to the demise of the club we all love. Alot of clubs have chief Execs, who do alot of the same things that DoFs seem to such as contract negotiation on behalf of the manager/head coach, except they tend to come more from business backgrounds as opposed to football ones in general.

Even getting them into the champions league is only worth around ?15m unless they can guarantee they reach the latter stages and they would still have to shell out on his wages also.

Well we can still sign free transfers and people we already have on longer deals outwith that so it doesn't need to all be sorted by then in terms of what we plan to do given promotion or relegation is whilst neither is impossible, both are unlikely.
