  3. Today
  4. One day soon I hope to wake up and find this has all been no more than a nightmare................................
  5. It's not much of a defence if he looks at all fans as if they're dirt under his shoe! Not too strong on the "unity" there, either. Clearly there's a "them" and "us", where the fans are a subspecies, whose voices don't count - but they'll take our money and throw out a platitude here and there in the desperate hope of keeping that going.
  6. We will have Cameron Ferguson as our Centre Forward. It is likely he will be signed on a long contract to ensure we make a small fortune from the subsequent transfer fee.
  7. Just after we got relegated we took Buckie's captain on trial, Kevin Fraser, and wanted to sign him but expected them to just release him for nothing. They didn't and he never signed. We also had Blair Yule on trial that close season, he was highly rated at the time coming out of the Highland League with Cove. Arbroath signed him in League one for a year and then he returned to Cove where he's been every since. I think I'm right that Scott Davidson, centre-forward who previously played for Fort William also trialled with us that summer but we didn't take him and he's continued playing in the Highland League for various clubs. Not sure of other Highland league players we've had on trial since then. Do we even scout the HL?
  8. Sneak preview of our team for the pre-season friendly at Clach.
  9. I think it would be good to poll members and fans on what action/s they want to see or are willing to support as a consequence of the club failing to meet demands.
  10. Just the same as when political leaders ask for unity!
  11. When the Board talk of unity, what they mean is that the supporters should meekly accept and support whatever decisions the club makes.
  12. Most of the season ticket holders I've spoken with have said they won't be back if Gardiner is still there. I wouldn't trust the club to make good decisions with the money under the current CEO and manager anyway so why give them more money to waste on their pals and bolster their ego?
  13. Thats fine if its the approach fans want to take, however the same fans cant then complain our squad is under invested or if we fall further into the wilderness especially if the same regime remain in place - which right now looks increasingly likely. I'm not criticising or suggesting either way is right or wrong - its down to individuals.
  14. I get your point but unfortunately there are very few other ways for fans so show their feelings to the board. This situation where fans feel they are now so disconnected with the club hasn't happened overnight. There has been fans meeting etc but nothing is getting through to the board. In the statement Ross Morrison talked about unity. If him and the board really beleive this then the only actions fans have to make them sit up and listen is by withholding money buy not renewing season tickets etc. Its not something most fans want to do but what is the other option to get change?
  15. The next podcast will have opinions from fans and former players on it
  16. Amazing contribution there. You should really post more on here so we can all read these deep insights of yours.
  17. Morning Scot, how are you today?
  18. Lets remember this when we are looking for our next manager and inevitably someone suggests Robbo
  19. Sounds like a principled stance, however all this does is weaken the finances at our club and increase those of our competitors. In another years time everyone will say we should have invested more or done better if results dont go our way yet individuals including fans need to be honest about their roles in that case.
  20. Yesterday
  21. Like you and I Dougal people change over the years. I can't believe that most of our support will not totally admire CC for standing up against a very controlling organisation, despite the damage that he may experience in retaliation. We need more ex-players and employees to speak out against our the tyranny.
  22. You may well be right. But if you are, then they need to call a different tune.
  23. A good old Scottish saying Yngwie and you are correct.
  24. I think that’s all fair comment, but is it not simply a case of he who pays the piper calls the tune?
  25. Charles has rightly pointed out previously that you can't simply sack the Board unless you have others primed to take over and put the money in that the current Directors have over the years. For that reason and because he has been a long term fan and, as Fraz points out, has the best interests of the club at heart, I would not object to Morrison remaining on the Board. I do, however, think that there is an urgent need for him to be replaced as Chairman. He alienated a lot of the local community over his role in the concert company and has repeated that with his mishandling of the Battery Storage project. His credibility is shot and the club is not going regain the trust and support of the local business community or the Highland Council whilst he remains at the helm. The club has 6 other directors on the Board. They also have to take responsibility here as decisions taken in the past will have been collective ones. It is high time they stopped passively acquiescing to the Chairman and CEO and showed some collective leadership to address the real issues.
  26. My hunch is that Ferguson will stay but changes on the board. Christie’s comments are spot on.
  27. Charlie's comments aren't exactly following the corporate line. I hope he is not speaking out like this now because he knows he and the youth set up at the club are going to victims of the structural reorganisation.
