Just read on BBC sport that the game on saturday could be in doubt. Im not sure if it's actually a major concern or a passing remark by Levein to emphasise his team's plight at trying to find a place to train.

Levein's comment

Today is meant to be the last day of the really cold weather. I'd be surprised if it was off.

It snowed all morning in Dundee but the roads are clear and the pitch will be fine once the Utd team get sent out to clear the snow off.

Good to hear.

Last thing we need is a re-scheduled midweek match to halt our form.

"Mind Games" - There's no way snow on the park should prevent any match going ahead (as it can be cleared), and they're best leaving it on till the last minute as it will help prevent frost getting to the pitch.

HMMM

Not too sure about this. I just heard on the radio that the Dundee council workers were being sent home and the buses in Dundee have been withdrawn.

Think there's a bit of honesty perhaps in what Levein might be saying.

Hope the game will go ahead though!

Heavy snow in Tayside this morning. Forecast for tomorrow is drizzle and temps above freezing so I think it should be well clear by saturday morning.

The roads were really bad in Dundee this morning as was the A90,Lorries were even struggling on the kingsway,

Im not surprised they stopped the busses this morning the roads were a nightmare.

lets hope it disappears just as quick as it arrived.

We could be doing with the game going ahead because if Falkirk win then we will be under pressure to win as we'd be 7 behind with a game in hand.

Funnily enough i doubt Falkirk will beat Saints and i have a feeling we will draw or lose as United a strong team and we haven't got a result against them yet this season.

Been watching the Dundee buses pass my office all afternoon! As for council workers, they are mostly skivers.

all they need to do is clear the snow and keep there heating on. when we played killie the snow came down really heavy and just about the start of the 2nd half most of the pitch was clear and you could see the lines. so theres no way a big club like dundee utd would have bad undersoil heating

I wouldnt be surprised if our game is called off it doesnt matter how long the pitch undersoil heating is in but if the pitch is totally frozen the game will be called off

You can't beat a blanket of snow to prevent a pitch from becoiming completely frozen.

Can't quite understand this comment of Leveins...

"I'd hoped the heating could be put on to give us the opportunity to train on grass for the first time in a week," manager Craig Levein told BBC Scotland.

"But there's been so much snow that it has proved impossible.

I'm inclined to agree with Muir-Jaggie (above)

Clear as much snow as possible from the pitch and leave the heating on...

There's any amount of cheap labour in Dundee...

They could start by recruiting these council workers that have been sent home..

Better feckin not be off - I'm planning on getting my train ticket tomorrow morning. I like Dundee - it's got a bit of a undeserved reputation - but I'm not sure I want to spend thirty-odd quid on a train ticket just to spend the day getting p1ssed there.

Hope it's not prosponed!

Im looking forword to it!

Come on DUFC, You cant leave it just to the undersoil heating, so get your bloody spades out Levein

Mabey their scared that their gonna lose :rotflmao:

Didn't look too clever on the TV just now

Weather getting better.

anyone up for going 2 Dundee to shovel snow?

Their undersoil heating remains turned off , it can'y be turned on when there's a covering of snow as that could damage the system !

you would think it would get damaged if it was frosty with the ground being hard and the pipes would freeze

Seeing the pitch on the news and hearing the undersoil heating aint on i think the game will be off
