Crowds For Next Season

Really hope that season ticket sales are up from last season. With the decrease in prices and the groundswell of support from true fans who have the best interests of the club at heart I would like to think that we could have around 2000 season ticket holders for 09/10. I believe that the figure of 2000 is probably what the club is aiming for and will ensure some sort of financial stability for the club at least for another year!

From a personal perspective I have heard from quite a few folk that they are looking to by season tickets even having just watched the last game of the season this bodes well for the future.

Does anyone else out their have any inclinations on crowds for next season?? :024:

It'll probably also depend a lot on what sort of footyball is being played at the time. If ICT go back to keeping it on the deck and have a nice slinky style like they used to have then that will probably dictate the crowd numbers. In fact if it were me, and I was in a position to buy a season ticket and ICT tactics were punt, punt, punt, then I'd think twice about getting one.

Sorry, but that's ridiculous.

Everyone would like to watch slinky football, but you don't stop supporting your team just because you have to watch utter crap punting up the field football. Last season should have proved that to you.

I didn't say stop supporting them, I just think twice about spending a good bit of money for an hour and half every couple of weeks of sitting in the cold, watching Grant Munro hopeless punt the ball at every given opportunity.

the posters on here are definitely the minority when it comes to the crowd, i knw just bout every poster will be renewing their season ticket but there are rakes of part-timers who won't bother.....

Might I suggest Barcelona instead? Nice football, hot weather, lots of trophies.

Think for yourselves pals, this poster is not even in the purchase stakes and he is offering advice to the ones that are buying. Not only that but he is offering advice on the type of football we are going to be playing before our signings are completed and our playing strategy is in place.

Be aware!!

Thats just what I was thinking only i couldnt find a way of saying shut up you tube!!

I will sit back and await his mature educated response along the lines of ?What ever and Bothered!!?

(All be it my tube jibe's mature... )

That's me taken the plunge, first time since Pittodrie in 2004. Section G.

see you there big yin

We have been averaging about 2200-2300 the last few seasons but despite us having better crowds when we were both in the same division you will probably have more than us this season since you have been getting 3500-4000 (?) in the SPL.

I thought C(o)unty had finally admitted that they counted the eyes? Every away support that ever visited VP was mystified at how large the crowds were according to the announcement :P

I hope County start making their crowds up again, great stuff. My favourite part was when the attendances plummet for cup games :D

Aye but that was because the County fans at league game had two heads and they counted their eyes but only cyclops went to the cup ties.

Apparently season ticket sales are not very far behind what they were this time last season which must bode well for the coming season's attendances.

Does any one know the number of season tickets we have sold in recent years?

I remember a few years ago it was in the press that we had passed the 3,000 mark for one season

I just spoke to the ticket office and booked my ticket!! section G near the back for the Crack.... the lady i spoke to was really nice and very very helpfull, 3-4 weeks till it pops through my door... Thank you, really nice lady from the ticket office!!x :D :D
