I am a data collector (not a Caley Jag) for a popular football simulation game and was wondering if anybody who attended the recent game against St. Johnstone could supply some player ratings for me? I will probably be scouting the forum for them after every Caley Thistle game as the fans are much better at giving ratings than the papers. This would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply. I took a look there but the players with no votes made it hard to get an image of how they played, and although I can assume they were average (4-6 region) it doesn't necessarily rule out horrific performances.

Thanks  I wouldn't have thought so but not being able to watch the full game I can't be sure myself. Pretty sure I have gathered that Shinnie was MOTM with Tansey and Warren also impressing, and the rest were good-to-average.

Brill was good as well, while Watkins had some good touches.

Something like that yea, maybe Doran would be a 6 though.

Try contacting IHE =-he used to  put number ratings in stars against all the players te day after a match --on here.

Don't like these player rating thingummies.  We have a club and team spirit the envy of the SPL - they all play for each other and put in a 101.5% shift.  Ratings are a tabloid practice and divisive. What are you rating?  the effort? the skill? the contribution? the pitch?

Everything - but you are correct in that it should be left in the hands of connoisseurs - like ma good self.

They are simply to give an idea of how players performed in a certain match in relation to match reports and have no actual effect on the data if that helps

They all get 10 for that one.  Apart from Doran who gets 11.

Yes I get a similar vibe off most Caley fans! But it is very helpful for my data reports to get opinions from ICT supporters 

County game, my opinion..............

 

Brill: 8 Absolutely solid and pulled off one tremendous save

Raven: 7 First goal and always available

Warren: 7 Another rock solid display

Meekings: 8 As above and some skill and pace

Shinnie: 8 Really coming on to a game, International recognition soon?

Tansey: 7 Has added some bite and skill to midfield

Draper: 7 No nonsense performance from the big man

Doran: 8 Great trickery and control, had the defender on toast

Foran: 9 Immense, and led by example, dictating play from front and back

Vincent 7 Lively performance, should have done better with first half effort, but great box to box midfielder

McKay: 8 Great goal and his awareness is second to none along with his hold up and link play. Not just for Xmas

Watkins: 6 sub and goal

other subs just on 4
