  • Today was the first chance that I've had to see ICT since the end of last season and i'm impressed by the progression being made to adapt to Yogi's philosophy and style. We started off as shown below

  • That was enjoyable. We played some nice stuff at times today, with Christie, Williams and McKay linking up well in attack, Shinnie breaking forward dangerously and and Tansey dictating things from the

Would also just like to point out that the blonde selling refreshments was FIT!!! Definately a 7/10

Sounds like great stuff so far, brilliant

Ceilidh seem to be doing fine at the moment.

Win: The team is doing really well!

Draw: We should of won that one.

Lose: HUGHES' STYLE OF PLAY DOESN'T SUIT OUR TEAM!

Nah, some posters have their minds made up already...

For goodness sake the first game of the season, we are winning two nil. Do you think you can hold back on the sarcasm just for a wee while ?

Was a tongue in cheek post, delighted with how things are going so far! I reckon that Hughes' style should allow us to control games better when we have the lead so hopefully we can close this out with little fuss.

Despite being generally underwhelmed by JH's tenure so far (with the exception of keeping the squad together and signing new deals) if our next 75 halves of football are just like that one I'll start the fund to build a statue in his honour.

Sure. Let's see what the second half brings!

First SPFL goal this season

Not strictly true - although I'm sure you meant, Premiership! Queen of the South netted in 8 minutes.

Edit: Just realised, Berwick scored in 6 mins!

goal for hamilton but it is disallowed

Edit: ok the bbc website doesn't mention the disallowed goal but it was said on open all mics

"Big shout from Accies for a penalty there. Beautiful back-heel by Mickael Antoine-Curier puts Imrie in on goal. He tries to play the ball across the box and it appears to come off a Caley Thistle arm but the referee says no penalty. Then Antoine-Curier gets a chance himself but Brill saves well."

Attendance 1,622

That's appalling for a newly promoted team's first game in the top flight! They make us look like Man Utd!

Particularly bad when you consider that neither Celtic or The Rangers have games today.

No excuse for Accies. There were over 5,000 at the game to qualify them to this level. They get there - and nobody's interested!

Thats SHOCKINGLY bad!!

Good result and what sounded like a good performance. Table looks good this evening ;-)

Yes, a great start from what could have been a really tricky opener for us.  I'm looking forward to seeing the comments/reports from our fans who were at the game.

As TBB said above, the table looks very pretty this evening.  Long may it continue.

Highly satisfactory opening day result. Potentially tricky away fixture negotiated with clean sheet and three points against a team it's essential we stay ahead of this season.

Excellent - well done lads! Tricky opening, comfortably negotiated. I will say this - if the Hughes style works out, it'll be the tastiest humble pie I've ever eaten!

Couldn't care less about Hamilton's home attendances, it's the team on the park that matters. If anything, smaller clubs who reach the top league deserve even more credit for how well they're run.

Encouraging result. Eager to hear some match reports!

Most pleasing: 13 chances for us away from home- 8 on target! Sounds like the subs also made an impact when they came on! 2nd season in a row that we've topped the table on day 1....

Potential banana skin overcome according to stats we had most of the possession and most of our shots on target which is pleasing. Let's hope we can do the same on Wednesday against Dundee

Can't ask for more. Great solid professional result.

Easy win and clean sheet against a newly promoted team away on astro turf. Not bad.
