Off to Wigan for talks, statement from the chairman on the official website. Wish him all the best if he goes and hopefully we've got a replacement lined up.

  • Good luck to Billy, he's been a fantastic player for the club. Bit of a strange one I always thought. While his goalscoring record has been excellent, he missed as many sitters in his time here, a

Really sorry to see him go but at least he is giving himself a challenge Wigan could just be the club for him to go to as I am sure he will get game time and look at how MaArthur and McCarty ? from Hamilton have progressed

Hopefully he will still be here for the Derby and as other have said sign off with a Hat Trick

Given that he is a free agent at the end of the season I think if we get £150K we will be doing very well

Good luck Billy and thanks for the service you have given to the club

Somebody mentioned  Clark as  REPLACEMENT  we could not match the wages that he is on at Sevco, although I think he would be a good signing

Can SeVco afford the wages he is on at SeVco???

gives me another reason to shout dogs abuse at Shaun Maloney when Chicago Fire come calling here in Toronto !!! How he ever managed to get a DP slot in MLS is beyond me !

Because he is a brilliant player

Much as Shinnie will be missed come the end of the season, we have a very talented young left back on the books who is apparently keen to stay. Prolific forwards are a different matter altogether and Billy will be much harder to replace.

Why is everyone saying goodbye? He hasn't left yet, he's only going down for talks and he might decide he wants to stay

He's got a small k.

That's a bit f**keen personal is it not?!

Radio Scotland just reported that fee was around £200,000. Bit better if true!

Rory McAllister has a much better record at that level than Nicky Clarke.

Calum Ferguson its time to step up to the plate lad!!

Just watched BBC News. No mention at all about the possible transfer of one of Scotland's most prolific scorers over the past 3 years! An absolute disgrace in my opinion.

A brief mention on Sportscene being the only football news in what was otherwise a tedious and repetitive Glasgow derby l in.

Billy may take one look at the mess Wigan are in and decide 'time for a sharp exit'. There are far better clubs who could sign someone who will always score goals.

Is Scott McDonald on his way?

We aint that desperate to take on a celtic reject haha

Not that it really matters but Mckay having a medical tomorrow - assume personal terms agreed?

And Rory can install a megaflow system.

Seriously though his heart was in plumbing more than football

Could Wigan possibly throw in a young striker on loan to compete with Ferg?

Michael higdon then?

Calum McGregor on loan anyone?

Michael higdon then?

He's currently on the bench for Sheffield United vs Tottenham.

I would happily take Scott McDonald right now. He scored some important goals for Celtic and he's a proven goalscorer in Scotland - don't think he's a reject in the slightest.

Calum McGregor on loan anyone?

I would like us to loan him yeah but is he a Striker, sure in a game I watched on Sky or BT (possibly Europe) he was on wing?

McDonald or Higdon would both be great....but I doubt we'd get either. Never say never. ..
