That was embarrassing for Neil and his club. Reckon he will be gone before Saturday. A club with Celtic's 'values' shouldn't stand for that kind of unprofessional outburst.

So, Neil Lennon is refusing to give Interviews to SKY due to their 'prejudicial' coverage of their Dubai jaunt.

Every bit as pathetic and infantile as Sevco's long running refusal to speak to the BBC on the basis that the broadcaster had exposed some embarrassing truths about their gross mismanagement.

It seems to be that both clubs are now in breach of contract with two of the sport's major broadcast partners.

If the football authorities had any credibility at all they would punish both by withholding TV money from the ugly sisters and distributing their share among the clubs who are fulfilling their contracts.

Well done Jim Gannon!  At least he was refusing to talk to them because the broadcaster had not honoured their contract, rather than because they had broadcast uncomfortable truths.  

It would be nice to think the broadcasters would refuse to cover the games of clubs who refuse to honour their contractual obligations, but obviously they are not going to let principles get in the way of their profit.

As Kingsmills says, it really is up to the Scottish football authorities to act to ensure all clubs meet their contractual obligations.  Their view appears to be that as the big two bring in by far the greatest revenue to Scottish football, it is in the interests of all clubs not to antagonise them by taking any action against them.  

John Swinney, who tends to choose his words carefully, described Lennon's outburst as "absolutely appalling".  It must be clear to all that Celtic and their manager are bringing Scottish Football into disrepute here.  But yet again, the football authorities fail to do the right thing and just sit back and do nothing.  Nobody does more to undermine the good name of Scottish football than the very organisations which exist to promote and uphold it.

Money talks while the authorities sit on their hands...nothing new there, but how long is it since Scottish football actually had a good name?

Undersoil heating was not an option for ICT either, as the Caledonian Stadium has not had that in place since improving the pitch’s drainage.

Why did we remove the undersoil heating? We need to have that to play in the Prem

You just need to have adequate pitch protection (or something along those lines).

I don’t think it was removed, we just don’t use it. As @RiG says it’s not mandatory in the Prem any longer.

I think you could be right ... it's incredibly expensive to run it as you have to have it running for a long time just for one match so we just dont use it. We did relay the pitch a couple of years ago didn't we so it's also possible it was removed and not replaced ... I know Tommy hates/hated it, reckoned it completely ruined his pitch which - until we put it in - had suffered only one or two postponements in its lifetime.

I'm assuming the Pitchcare article that RiG posted above is a longish one I read before, that seems to imply the pipes were left in when the pitch was relaid.

The cup and lower league suspension has been extended for two weeks until at least midnight on 14 February. It is to be reviewed earlier that week.

Tomorrow’s game between Dunfermline and Raith is off due to a Covid case at Dunfermline and the number self isolating as a result. They are unable to fulfil the fixture.
