With only 2 and a bit days left of the transfer window, and with money avalible from the rankin deal, is there any likelyhood of any incoming players to the club?

If we are lucky and get the finger out.........we MIGHT land Dorrans (but am not overly optimistic), but apart from that....cant see anyone else arriving. Could have done with offloading a few tho

I think we've done really well so far, by offloading players early in the window and going into the crucial last day knowing exactly how much we have to spend.

Most clubs spend the last day wanting to sign players but can only do so only if they sell/dump existing members of the squad, and they get caught in transfer chains.

I would be absolutely certain that we will make signings (plural) but I have no idea who. There are always surprises.

On radio Scot this morning that Rory has returned from Phead and Hart probably not going enywhere at moment.

Fair enough if we don't get anyone in as long as it's not for the want to trying.

I just don't want to hear the 'happy with the current squad card' card been played again

:019:  Rory could have done with staying there!

:clapping03: Richie could do with getting more of a chance tho i think.

I dont think either Rory or Richie Hart have much chance of a first team game, Rory has had numerous chances to prove himself and failed, Richie has obviously been told he wont get a new contract and is free to go to another club.

Midfield seems to be well covered but the defence could do with a bit of cover for sure, Might have said before but i dont think Mcguire is the final solution, we could do with someone with a bit more Dods type physique.

Hate to throw in a dumb-*** girl-question BUT... could we have afforded to bring in a new player or two??

I get the point of the "happy with the current squad" being frustrating, but y'know, there is a possibility it could be true!

I would've thought so with the sale of Rankin and there might also be money from the sale of Ridgers.

how can brewster say if we dont get dorrans we wont sign anyone else and hes happy with the squad?surely we need at leasta centre back?

Personally I think he and Grassa are playing their cards close to their chest's. Was a minute of two before midnight at end of last window when McGuire was secured. It may also be that they believe McDonald, Kerr and Duff are ready to make the step up for cover. That is what I'd like to see.

I'd certainly forget Dorrans now

ICT have pulled something out of the hat at the last minute too many times for me to be too worried about our lack of transfer window activity at the moment.

I dont think we will get anyone this time round. Wouldnt discount Dorrans just yet tho!

Still could be a wee windfall coming our way from Robson's next move....

But is Dorrans worth that kind of money..?

:024:

We should use some of that ?100k we got for Rankin and see if we can tempt that Ronaldo fella at Man Utd to come north.

50k bid for Imrie at Clyde and a pre-contract offer to Barrowman with Hart going in the opposite direction to County in a similar deal

We're also trying to secure a loan deal for a young Celtic attacking midfielder.

Not called Keogh, is he?  :014:

No, O'Brien, but he's gone to Dundee Utd on load as part of the Robson deal.

Guess that just leaves Imrie - that we know about

Cillian Sheridan perhaps.
