On a positive note

:017:

Came on for the last 5 minutes, looked stronger, fitter, sharper and technically better than he ever has.

Well he certainly couldnt get an worse...

I reckon he should start the next game!  Or come on at half-time.  He might play well with Niculae, none of our other strikers seem to!

Holy sh1t..........things must be bad if it has come to this!

When it's 7 games without a win and hardly any goals..then it is bad!!

Wouldn't have worded it quite so strongly (theres no point getting on his back) but I was very suprised, I have never been a fan of McCallister, and granted he only played five minutes, but he looked hungrier than the rest of our team put togethor. Remember that our whole squad is full of players that have failed before and have something to prove.

Have to agree Rory looked more confident and held the ball on a couple of occasions,  give him a run thankfully Gretna will be going down , maybe we should be thinking about building for next season

We were on the receiving end of an embarassing 3-0 pumping for God sake . . you coudl have probably shoved Zibi upfront and he would of looked alright compared to how everyone else played  :rolleyes02:

Rory--biggest man on the park was he?

Might as well give him his second chance --everything else is stale as heck it seems.

Well he had he had one run where he went round four players and put a great shot just wide... But that was his 50th ICT appearance, and he's got four goals so far. Not very impressive for a centre forward...

We could give him 5 mins every game also Proctor looked good when he came on

50th appearance maybe but 48 of them were in the last five minutes of games.

I don't see Rory as having failed at anything, the guy is young and still has a long career ahead of him.  Perhaps letting Niculae take him under his wing and giving him some time on the park up front along with him is just what he needs.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

If nothing else, at least McAllister can get his feet off the ground when jumping for a ball, something nobody else in our strike force is able to do.

All true.

Also, I remember Rory playing a great game against Celtic last season @ home.

The guy hasn't deserved some of the abuse fired at him on here.

Unfortunately i had left the stadium by the time he had come on so i can't really pass judgement. However i wouldn't like to see him start the next game as i doubt in the month he has been away he has gained the ability to shrug off a challenge or managed to grow some muscles. Although there is always steriods...

Another youngster coming through the ranks or is he a signing that I missed during the window?

He has started 11 games - come on as a sub 39 times. but heck, if he at least showed some spirit on Saturday and some nice touches then why not give him a chance. no other bugger seems to be trying.

I notice in the papers that he replaced Cowie. Did he come on as midfielder or striker?

Scored two and apparently put in an excellent preformance for the reserves against Falkirk.

Completely agree.  There's been a lot of nit picking by some of the pinheads on here and other places and he doesn't deserve that at all.

A bit of both, he came from Aberdeen

I always felt that Rory can become a first team player at the club as he can not get any worst than wyness who i believe is passed it. I am hoping he can start alot of the games from now to the end of the season
