  1. JEE WHIZZZZZ and the season hasn't started yet. If this is a sample of what we are to expect on the forum, the players are going to have perform to the highest standards. We will need to be taken over by the chinese at least they could give us some varitey on the pie front. The stewards will need to wear top hat and tails and be everso polite. Come on guys this is football Inverness style, we clap when we notice something good as we did on Tuesday night!!!!!!!!

  2. Why are folk giving Gordy a hard time here for his eminently sensible comments? My pronounciation of foreign names is not good but if I placed myself in a position of introducing guests (which the Spanish players were) then I would make a point of finding out how to pronounce their names properly. Not to do so is simply rude. Not to even try is frankly shameful and reflects badly on the club and on our famed Highland hospitality. I hope club officials apologised to our Spanish visitors for the crass behaviour of the announcer.

  4. It just needed a conversation. "Dani" "Que?" How do you pronounce this lot - slowly, mind so I get it" "Va-la-tho-leed" "crackin. Ta" "Ladies & gentlemen, tonight's teams are..........

  7. Some very good points there and points which for me completely answer all the unwarranted criticism. A temporary PA system which couldnt be avoided and new announcer(s) dealing with difficult names on his first outing. I think its way OTT to say that mis-pronounciation or struggling with foreign names could be classed as racist Think what its like in the English Premiership, going by all the nationalities that play within the league they have there must be hundreds of names mis-pronounced every week. It doesnt mean the announcer is being racist or the club are lacking professionalism. I would doubt very much if the Real Valladolid players would even be taking notice of the announcer let alone how his Spanish sounded. What do folk want? Should we hire in an interpreter just to pronounce the names correctly. I have been to many away grounds and have heard countless mistakes, i certainly dont think it unprofessional or racist, its part and parcel of football, we are human after all I totally agree that the announcer should be given a chance to show if he is up to it. Give him a few games and see what he can do

  8. Buses have already been reserved with D&E Coaches, by the Supporters Club, for all the away games for season 10/11. The buses leave from the Stadium, usually at 10am for a 3pm kick off, but earlier for the Kilmarnock games (more miles to travel) and later for the Aberdeen and St Johnstone games (less miles to travel). The number to phone to book a seat on the bus is 0751 976 3507. The cost remains at ?12 per person. The Fans entry in the ICT website has been updated and likewise the entry in this Forum will be updated. Reminders to fans about the bus and the number to phone will be placed in this Forum before each away game. We hope to see you on the bus to Dundee on the 22nd.

  9. I reckon the club should swallow their pride and ask Don to be the announcer again. at least he was interested and fired up for the gig. Speaking of which...has CaleyD gone into hiding...i dont think i have seen a post from him on the new site?

  11. Do they split all the takings from the shop and the hospitality and the program sales etc Einstien ? No they dont. Gate reciepts are totalled and, after all the expences of puting the game on, i.e police stewards referee's, SFA etc, whats left is split between the two. Better pies at Dingwall and we don't have all the overheads to foot such as stewarding. Einstein. Technically, if you read my comment above, we do.

  13. God it is just like watching a poor Liverpool mob. What the hell is with singing English songs - can't the sprouts speak feckin Flemish anymore. I thought Antwerp were a feeder club for Man Ure. My link

  20. Don't know who it was, but the first announcer said "I am not going to even read out the Spanish team" How offensive was that? No-one expects perfect pronounciation, but to not even attempt is nothing short of racism. More amateur hour stuff, showing us to be Highland hicks in front of our visitors. Get a pro in, if the amateurs can't cut it. Get Don back, he would have had a try.
