  2. What other team has had a player that has been with only one professional club and with that club has played in every professional division of that club's football association? And what other top division team in the world has a starting player that once played for...Fort William? ICT....unique.

  3. Lionel was always comfortable on the ball. It was the rest of us who weren't comfortable.

  4. Just wondered what the general feeling about whether or not Adam will sign on with us...or be tempted away? I hope Rooney dont fall into the trap of thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Quite a few players have left ICT only to find their careers go downhill. Inverness may not offer the biggest wage going....but there is more to consider in life than just money! I think all in all.....he is onto a good way of life up here, and i think he might realise that.

  6. I could see him signing a PCA in January with a team like Nottingham Forest, Doncaster or Melchester Rovers. He will finish out his Caley days by becoming the first ICT player to bag 25 goals in an SPL season, culminating in a Berbatov style five goal plunder against Celtic at Parkhead in May.

  7. Read somewhere in the past week that Aberdeen turnover was just over ? 7,000,000 last season. Does anyone know what the turnover is for each spl club, and how far adrift are we from our opponents. Know it will be Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs but what distance is our budget from the rest?

  8. Who cares if the media are not singing our praises from the rooftops and janggling their festive sleigh bells in our honour - f**k 'em. Let's just carry on quitely going about our business and grinding out great results, we don't need praise from these tw@t5. In fact we don't need help from anybody outwith ICT.

  9. Its a shame it was so cold as I think you would have had a lot more turnout. Roy has always been very dependable and for a manager, having someone that you can bring on in confidence must be a great feeling. Fair play to the legends side as they were excellent, including Brewster, booing any player is unacceptable esecially as they gave up their free time to be there. I had forgotten how good sheerin was and cc has still got the touches, although when the legends defence needed shoring up you would have thought Pele would have given butcher or malpas a shot! of the ICT team chambers was outstanding as was polworth. Fair play to the coaches as the youth team were badly affected when we went to div 1. As far as the bickering goes it might be an idea to have a time delay on continually posting on the same thread.

  10. totally agree with just about everything you say. it's absolutely none of my business what your faith is and it has bu**er all to do with football. however, tom english wrote a very interesting article in scotland on sunday suggesting that, certain of the cellik-minded fraternity, had used the pope as "a pawn" in the pursuit of their paranoid agenda. i'm just glad we don't see too much of this crap up here. now i might take a few pelters for this, but, i'm pretty surprised that the church felt they had to intervene. i think a dignified silence would have been more appropriate. after all, it is only football!!!

  12. Please can we take religion out of this debate. I am catholic. I have no leanings towards either of the old filth. I know many catholics who are Rangers fans and many protestants who.s loyalties lie on the other side, Many catholics even support ICT. This whole thing has nothing to do with religion but plenty to do with incompetence and attempts at justifying bad decisions. Anything else has been exploded by the media to try and justify their diabolical reporting methods. Someone forwards a joke by e-mail!! So what. Many, many of us have likely done the same. Catholic jokes, protestant jokes, Bin Laden jokes, Peodophile jokes. Jokes about those better of or worse of. It happens and we all respond to it. Why use that in the witch hunt? Personally I think MacDonald was one of the better refs in Scotland. He made a mistake and he should have been punished yes. Not hounded out like some low life by the gutter press.

  16. First and foremost well done I.C.T what a game. Our team was just terrific lots of heart - and football skill . Lennon wake up we gave you a battle and a football game your team were not up for it - how dare you come out and say we didnt create anything. I would love to see our supporters been so vocal at home and let the team know we are behind them. Well done to you all take a bow | I for one would like to hear on Saturday before the team come on the pitch ' The Boys are back in town' Who decides what music is played at the match's . Looking forward to Sat and a 3 nil win Congrats to all

  18. No he didn't. The ref lied to the refereeing supervisor. He never spoke to Lennon. But it doesn't answer my point. Why did Lennon complain about not getting a penalty that shouldn't have stood? That would have been the wrong decision to keep the penalty. Dundee United were the team that had cause to complain. Nothing anti-Celtic about it.

  19. Believe me there's loads of rangers fans going to watch ICT home games and it's part to do with the rubbish atmosphere at home IMHO . It's like the lads that weren't allowed into Parkhead yesterday with their " loyal " flag and it's obvious Rangers links . Since when have Rangers fans had exclusive rights to the word "Loyal" We have many Loyal ICT fans. If narrow minded brainless numpties assume the word Loyal means Rangers fan, well, waste of fresh air IMO. Anyway as for the game Just as well I didn't make it, as I do like a song, and god forbid, I do like to enjoy myself. I am fairly certain Jaime etc and myself would have been in same pub before the end of the game.

  20. Brilliant, just absolutely brilliant. First off we'll start with the stewards though, who ruined several peoples days out for no reason whatsoever. Big Jamie and another boy sitting close to him got chucked out for apparently 'pointing at the stewards' when they were actually just putting their hands up while singing a song. I tried arguing their case with one man in a hi-viz jacket who I can only describe as a complete and utter waste of fresh air. Said steward just said he was breaking the law, and I was going to be the next out so they were watching me. Complete and utter joke. The police actually told them to stop chucking people out though, unless they were going to go and do the same to the 'Gay Brigade' in the corner across from us. Anyway, on to the football and what a game! We played some brilliant stuff at times and there wasn't a bad performance from anybody. Shinnie had the best game I've seen him play IMO, and Nick Ross had a good game too. Good to see performances like that from our youngsters in such a big arena where the pressure could get to a lot of lads their age. When Celtic's second goal went in against the run of play I didn't see us getting the draw, but the players seemed to get some inspiration from somewhere and just went for it. Pressure on their defence from Nick Ross and Richie Foran led to him nicking the ball of a defender and rounding the keeper to hit it in off the post. When that goal went in it just felt like we were going to get the equaliser we needed, and when Munro nodded in the feeling of euphoria in the away end was unbelieveable. Just felt brilliant to get it up all those cocky Celtic fans, and that absolute joke Neil Lennon. We were unlucky not to win it with a chance towards the end too, but suppose we'll take the draw... Butcher leading the team over towards us at the end and giving it 5 cheers instead of the usual 3 was brilliant as well, was a special moment. He must've been so happy to get it right up Celtic as well. After all the carry ons about will it or won't it go ahead, referees and treacherous weather conditions a lot of people had to go through to get to Glasgow yesterday, I for one am absolutely feckin' delighted it did, and we proved exactly what we're capable of in arguably the hardest away fixture in the country. Days like that just make you totally proud to support ICT and long may the away record continue. Everyone that's been part of it deserves credit cause it's an outstanding achievement no matter what club you are or what league you're in. Take a bow. Oh and one last thing... CALEY AWAY, WITH TERRY AND MO!!

  21. I can fully empathise with you .Being thrown out by these bullies you missed the incident at the end of the game. The ball mysteriously landed in our supporters area and a young steward sportingly threw it to some of our fans who were having a bit of fun with no intention of wanting to keep their ball, who would want it, out of nowhere this huge steward arrived and as we were celebrating with Terry and Boys he pushed in behind me ,my friend and family almost pushed me over the back of seat in front and I will never know how I held my footing ,my friend twisted her back trying to save herself it was horrendous treatment.I spoke to him and and he was extremely rude I tried speak to another steward and got same treatment .The police were a bit more sympathetic but said they had nothing to do with stewarding.I did get told the offending steward was the head supervisor for the area we were in .The second one I spoke to was walking away and I tapped his arm to get his attention only to be told dont touch me or I will have you for assault, who the hell do they think they are that they can throw their weight around like that.It didnt end there as some man with a clip board appeared and took my name and said he would try to get it sorted out.Next we got escorted out by two very pleasant stewards who were more than understanding .I then decided it is an absolute waste of time and energy to complain as they all stick together. We had a brilliant result and obviously they had to vent their anger on someone .We are quite probably the easiest and best behaved fans these nasty people have to deal with. They just cant deal with the Highlanders and our sense of humour and the fact we know how to make our day out enjoyable.Dont allow these Bxxxxxxx to ruin a fantastic day in the hitory of CALEY THISTLE be proud and try to move on .I have.

  26. well Mrcaleyjag , now we know what you are,a hun who goes to Tulloch so you can wear a blue jersey, next you will want to sing the sash, billy boys and the famine song. I moved up here 16yrs ago and started going to Caley matches 10years ago so my son could be brought up in a bigot free enviorment. You have disspelled that idea, how many more of you are there hiding behind Caley colours, are you one of the ones i see at the Bridge End when Rangers are there not daring to cheer when any team scores??

  28. Summer football please. I imagine the weather is going to decimate the SPL card sporadically between now and the big thaw. It's particularly frustrating relying on booking trains and not knowing if games will be off. Summer football is the way forward.
