I think playing with such pride and Honor as would have been on show today on TV, is a good enough reason to make fans turn up for the first time. I genuinely believed we could have won the game today especially after the penalty save. Rangers had to resort to cheating to try and influence the game, whats the point in supporting Rangers if you cant stand proud and call yourself a Rangers fan when your team has to stoop to cheating to attempt to get 3 points. Why not support your local team and support them with pride.2 points

Caledonian were known as the Rangers of the North due our dominance in Highland football , nothing to do with religion . Thistle were known as Inverness Thistle due to them being crap .2 points

Today's goal has to be up there with the best of them. I'd love a DVD of our goals from this one year run.1 point

How about Forans's overhead kick in injury time last year which vitually sealed promotion.1 point

This was one game I really enjoyed. We totally dominated them in the first half but we came back out without a plan for the changes they had to make. Still we eventually adapted and made life difficult for them. We defended extremely well and nothing we could have done would have stopped them equalising but we didn't let that get our heads down. We kept going and won a very well deserved point. Two complaints though. My fave player RD needs to look in front of him before giving the ball away. Odi was crap and should not get a start. Get well soon Nick. Oh and Shinnie deserves his new contract1 point

Nick Ross was badly missed, but even then - we were so much on top in the first half, we could have had it wrapped up by half-time. Johnny Hayes could have been MoM just for his goal of the season, but Stuart Duff was immense today - never put a foot wrong. It's unbelievable that he couldn't get a game for Aberdeen - given their present full back situation.1 point

Not going to go as far as a Smileymometer as any result against the OF Home or Away has simply to be creditable. Esson didnt really have that much to do but, as ever, produces the goods - Duff is one of the best rite backs that we have had for some time, thought Munro's positional sense was Weirish today, Rosscoe struggles at times but he has found his niche, Shinnie is raw but developing. Johnny Hayes goal was immense but he played too deep in the first half and went Missing In Action for long spells in the second, Cox was my MOM abut Duncan tried to be too cocky, I am not clear what Foran's role was, Eric had a bad day at the office and Rooney ran his heart out. Bring on the Gorgie Road Party.1 point

chances for both teams. Would have probably settled for a draw in the end.if you had said 10 years ago that we would match the old firm home and away in a season it would have been dismissed out of hand.Even a year ago we were what 5th in 1st division. Unbelievable times. A chance of 3rd place next Saturday if other results go our way this afternoon . . .1 point

Where did i say that? My point is simply that aggressive policing can exacerbate the situation. It was a response to your suggestion of water canons and "a good kicking" as potential solutions to the problem. The article that i linked gives an idea of how angry aggressive policing can make peaceful protesters. Surely you accept that society benefits from having trained doctors, nurses, engineers and teachers? I would take it further and say that we all benefit from having artists, historians, theologians and sociologists - educated people in general. Grudgingly, i even accept the need for lawyers, economists and accountants. If these people end up earning significantly more than you then they will subsidise the roads you drive on under our system of progressive taxation. No man is an island and we have to pool money together in order to improve the lot of the population at large. I don't benefit from some stranger undergoing heart surgery on the NHS and i may never need to use that service myself but i certainly don't object to my taxes being used for that purpose. I applaud them for their efforts and lament that they didn't go far enough! The fact that the royal couple were out in central London in the middle of a large student protest is a testament to the stupidity of that pointless, inbred family. I was at the Laphroaig distillery recently and was informed that the Duke of Rothesay has a standing order for 6 bottles of 18 year-old every month at a cost of ?300 to the British taxpayer. If you want to get your knickers in a twist about wasting money than i suggest that he is a more suitable target for your ire than the students. You applaude them for their efforts and lament that they didn't go far enough? So you condone attacking a pair of old people (the fact they are royals is irrellevent) that are on a night out and that happened to get caught up in the middle of it? Well I hope you're proud of yourself. How far should they have gone to further their cause? Assaulted them? Murdered them? "Where do I say that?" Your first statement implies it. As you state you were at a peaceful protest that changed due to police tactics. Why do they have to adopt these tactics? Because the pondlife that are attacking them have given them no choice. What would you have the police do? How should they have handled it? Should they have stood there and let thugs throw bricks, fences, extinguishers at them and not batted an eyelid?1 point

Yes there are , Sir Ian Wood is rumoured to be taking over as Chairman . I didn't realise you were on speaking terms to everyone in Aberdeen RossP Not everyone, but I am on speaking terms with one of the caretaker bosses for Aberdeen, several of their first team, their Head of Youth Development and many of their Administration staff. Add that to the many Dons fans I work with, play football with and go for pints with; in addition to the Northsound/P&J Sports desk staff that my partner works with. Not one has ever mentioned this outlandish rumour about Sir Ian Wood becoming Chairman. Hell, even a quick search of AFC Chat brings up nothing about it! But then... you might have better connections than I.1 point

Hmmmm.... They (the polis) have just called off Celtic/Killie and Dundee Utd/Motherwell... Think you will find they were postponed "on police advice" and not by the police themselves. Neil Doncaster has criticised them for making such an early decision. Yeah, but when the police issue advice they generally expected it to be acted on!1 point

Are you for real? I think if you look up the word loyal, then it would say 'being faithful to something'. In this instance ICT. The loyal on the flag has nothing to do with sectarianism, it simply relates to following the team week in week out. Anyone suggesting that it has an affiliation with religion are the real bigots. And for your information the flag was in the stadium last week, hanging proudly despite attempts by celtic not to allow it1 point

OK, let's get the only negative of the game out of the way first....Odhiambo is lazy, pure and simple. He chased nothing, shirked 50/50's and never stuck a decent challenge on anyone the whole game....that's not lacking fitness or match sharpness...it's just not trying. When you put a player like that in amongst a team giving their all then they stick out like a sore thumb. On to the match and I can't add much to what's already been said, other than the fact that Rangers travel home home happy tonight having managed to take a point from the Mighty Caley Jags!!! Took us a while to get Hayes into the game, but that was in part down to the fact that every time he got the ball he had 2 or 3 men on him and he just had no space to get going. I don't have too much of an issue with that because when you have one guy who is such a threat that it takes an extra man out of the opposition to look after him, then it opens up spaces and opportunities elsewhere and although we didn't capitalise on it fully, we were trying to exploit the situation by getting Rooney in behind their defence and attempting to feed him the ball in space. Seeing what Hayes could do when he did get a chance to run at Rangers, it's not surprising they were marking him out of the game. As soon as he crossed the half way line I had a good feeling about it and I was praying he took his chance instead of running himself into trouble...and he did. Rangers managed to do nothing down the middle against us in the first half and that was, in large, down to Cox and Duncan. However, frustration soon set it that Odhiambo was doing nothing in front of them and in the second half one or other was trying to fill Odhiambo's role which left us exposed in the middle. As soon as we subbed Odhiambo, normal service was resumed and we forced Rangers to play everything out wide....which suits us as high balls in were being mopped up easily by Tokely and Munro. Thought Shinnie had a great game as well. He had Whittaker to deal with most of the game and he constantly out jumped him and had no problem standing up to the bigger player...he was not intimidated in the slightest and played with the composure and maturity of a player who's been playing top level football for years. I was a little disappointed to have gone in at the break only one goal up but, given how the second half panned out, was happy enough to have finished the game on level pegging. I think 1-1 was probably a fair and honest result. Referee didn't have a great game and was giving soft/bad decisions all over the park...both ways. The penalty decision was a bad one. I initially thought it was a dive and/or very little contact, but having seen the replay a few times it looks like Beattie just lost his footing and slid...then made the most of it. No contact was made until we tripped over him already sprawled on the ground. Miller wasn't a happy bunny, and his telling fans to "f**k off" when they were asking for autographs after the game showed him up for the moron he really is.0 points

There is NO WAY i would go up to a complete stranger in Inverness and start discussing ICT, i have experienced at first hand unpleasantness and animosity towards myself and ICT whilst out drinking in the city Fair enough if you are in the Caley Thistle club surrounded by fellow ICT fans well that maybe the case but you are wrong to say that everyone is willing to discuss ICT and make you welcome Even on this forum i've not really been made particularly welcome by some, i've even been targeted by a red dot campaign which has caused me a lot of heartache dougal-1 points

Don't think you are missing something, weren't Caledonian and now ICT known as the Rangers of the North??? I could be wrong but Caley have always played in blue and now predominantly blue in ICT's case I personally wouldn't purchase this product but i could think of a fair number of posters on this site who definitely would dougal-1 points
