  1. Are you on whacky baccy or something? I only intentionally wind up folk on P&B and even then, that's when I can be bothered. When I rant about the team, I damn well mean it. Tade being top scorer means nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. Rooney was our top scorer in our relegation season with 6 (six) goals. Was he good in that season? Seems like a touched a nerve . 8 goals is already more than he managed at Raith all of last season, he may not be playing very well just now but there has been times this season where he has been the best player on the pitch. He may not get it right all the time but neither does anyone else. Tbh i think his slump in form ties in with him being punted onto the left wing, he dosent look comfortable there. The few times Adam Rooney was given a game that season he was decent. Never got many chances. And your comments about Gillet are absolute bull. He has played all across the back four this season and has probably been the one player to add any credibility to a defence which has struggled all season and has literally saved some games with his performances. And for the record i know what 6 is, you dont have to spell it out in writing for me

  2. I completely disagree. Yes he gives 110% just like Bayne did. Bayne for me was never SPL quality. Neither is Tade. When he first arrived I liked Gillet because he was better than Golabek and Shinnie. Now... I'd say with a lack of serious competition for the left back slot, Gillet has degraded to Shinnies level. And yes, I'm saying both Gillet and Shinnie are both not SPL quality and neither are worthy of being in this squad. Tade is top scorer and Gillet has been arguably our best player this season...i suspect someones on the wind up.

  3. First league win of the season against Aberdeen today. 2-1, well done boys, just the lift they have been needing

  4. He has to strengthen in central defence. Is that bloke Hogg still without a club? We also need more invention on the left wing. Maybe we could try to get Aaron Doran back again. We're desperately lacking a defensive mid. I hear Welsh international Tudur-Jones is available. All that leaves is someone capable of working a bit of magic and sticking the ball away. Didn't Rangers have someone like that. Think he's the brother of Graeme Shinnie. Andrew or something. That, combined with our current squad, should probably be chasing top six.

  5. Would have been better on loan at Inverness, at least he has the passion for the game.

  6. Oh dear. Such sad, dreary comments. Do anyone of the above posters go to the games or just read the newspaper reviews. I have been to all the games this season so far, as usual and, ok, some have been dire, some more dire than others, and some pleasantly surprising (v Killie away - wow!!)(and the last minutes v Dunfermline in the Cup - thanks to the 4th official for the extra minutes due to Dumfarmline's time wasting after they scored = wonder if they learned any lessons that day). But, overall, there have been ups and downs - Johnny Hayes goal v Hibs (away) was a great "up" for example. Goal of the month - remember? Please, folks, look to the postitives, not just the negatives. In my day job I say to candidates - be positive, not negative - I know its not easy, but, folks, the players are only human and have off days just like us all. (We just hope the off days don't occur on Saturdays). Lecture over!!!

  7. I see Butcher reckons today that injuries cost the club a top six place. Aye Terry that's the only reason why, isn't it........?

  8. I have to say that Doiugal is spot on regarding people not having same opinions. I wouldn't use this site if there weren't any debate. This thread is a very healthy thread that is justified after many grumblings about Butcher. Look at the thread title. 'Butcher OUT?'. Notice the question mark. It's an invitation to discuss the management, not to tell people that they shouldn't have any negative opninion on the management team! So, to answer the question, Butcher Out? No. But I agree that he cannot take us any further. But who could? On our budget we will always struggle to be a top 6 team. What I expect from the management however, is to be able to construct a team that seem motivated to at least challenge, or play well. There's no shame in losing to the likes of Dundee United - there is when the players don't seem to care. It is Butchers team now and he is responsible for them. He must re-construct in the summer and he will be given the chance. But as I have said in a previous post, if he makes the same mistakes and panic buys, we WILL have another bad season and will be likely relegation contenders. Hopefully he has learned from last summer and in the new season, he gets the team (no doubt with lots of new players due to contracts running out) winning or at least playing well / motivated. As for Derek Adams. No way would I ever want him near this club. He has done a great job with County but he appears to be deeply unpopular with many in Dingwall. I don't think he is a very nice person - he is certainly a very angry man! Look at all his touchline bans. I can't remember who it was, but remember him punching one of his players in the dresssing room after a match. He's a loose cannon - possibly a competent football manager in terms of tactics but too much of a bomb scare imho.

  11. Why is it frowned upon if you have a negative point to make about the club on this site? I'm sorry to break the news to the happy clappers on here but that is what a football forum is all about, it would be one boring site if everyone had the same opinion and everyone just posted the same repetitive crap Not going to name and shame as I don't want to enter into any arguments but it's time they entered the real world I personally think Butcher and Malpas have taken this club as far as they can, a top six finish will not happen under this duo One thing is for certain is they won't be sacked as we couldn't afford too, I say let their contracts run out and then the time will be right to change the management so we can get some fresh ideas as I sadly see the club stagnating at present This might rile some but what about Derek Adams? Say what you want about the guy but he's taken a SFL diddy club to a Scottish cup final and now to the SPL( unless something drastically goes wrong which I can't see happening) Dougal

  15. Special top marks to the young supporters who travelled to this game - they sang throughout the 90 minutes and did ICT proud. They never went quiet the whole time, which is more than can be said for lots of supporters of the "bigger" teams when losing. Well done boys - you know who you all are. At the final whistle, only Roman Golabart and Josh Meekings acknowledged the travelling support, so black marks to the rest of the team who left the field without a backward glance or acknowledgement of their fans (probably expecting a tongue-lashing for the next hour or so from TB and MM).

  16. Chippendale left 2 months ago. After tonights showing i'd bin most of them. Dont know what you mean re Ross/Shane? Shane has almost zero ball skills and would struggle to get into County's first team squad! Ross has lost something, mojo??? cos he looks not-interested most of the time, they both have played in various positions and have not been any better imo.

  17. One word again - Narcissist. Butcher is probably the most likeable, charming, charismatic and consuming manager that has ever graced the Highland football scene. He is a media darling and a figurehead for ICT. He puts us on the map across Britain. He can certainly talk the talk. But he cant walk the walk. He is sadly lacking in the game of man management, is bereft in the skill of decision making and tactically is poor. His reaction is to chop and change and always picks out a scapegoat or lays the whole blame on the team. I suspect that he will change it again and he may take back in Williams, Tudor Jones, Winnal and even Gnapka - and we get a result and he says "I told you so". We have won quite a few games this season becos of individual displays. The best role for Butcher would be as a Director of Football but we cant afford that position any more - plus the fact that his personality suits the needs of Mr sutherland & Co. But he will lead us to survival and we may even pick up after the split - and he will be there next season. It will also be heralded that we have had to endure a nightmare season where injuries to key players have had a real influence but that does not detract from the woeful emploment of tactics at times. Are you trying to tell me that Tade, Ross, Sutherland and McKay are happy to play in the roles that they have been given - are they feck but they will not speak out as they know what the reprisal will be. And how do you think that Williams and Shinnie are feeling this evening - sitting on the bench - watching a half fit loanee and a struggling legend taking their place.
