Can we invite Aldershot or Bristol Rovers to apply? Lets look at the pros and cons of Dundee and Dunfermline in the SPL. Dundee stewards are one of the worst in the country. Dunfermline have very good stewards. Dundee 0-1 Dunfermline We already have trips to Dundee to watch Utd so it may get boring going to the same place more often. Dundee 0-2 Dunfermline The catering (particulary the bridies) are better at Dunfermline Dundee 0-3 Dunfermline Dundee are stronger that Dunfermline imho, so Dunfermline would be more likely to finish 12th Dundee 0-4 Dunfermline Dundee voted against our inclusion and Dunfermline voted for our inclusion in the SPL in 2004. Dundee 0-5 Dunfermline Half Time. Second half It's a kerfuffle getting to Dunfermline on the train Dundee 1-5 Dunfermline In general, Dundee is a better day out that Dunfermline Dundee 2-5 Dunfermline Dundee got relegated in 2005, so it would be nice to have them back for a change. Dundee 3-5 Dunfermline Dundee will bring another SPL derby. Dundee 4-5 Dunfermline Dunfermline finished bottom of SPL with little reistance and Dundee had a very good season finishing 2nd in SFL1. Dundee 5-5 Dunfermline Full time Dundee 5-5 Dunfermline Extra time. Dundee in the league will pi55 off this man..... Dundee 6-5 Dunfermline Welcome to the SPL Dundee6 points

Even of you'd said "another 1000 fans per game ON AVERAGE" I might still have queried this on the basis that it would mean that the other SPL clubs "welcomed" :love02: a total of 19,000 (1000 x 19 home games) Rangers fans per season across their average 1.5/2.0 home encounters with them in the bottom/top six. However since I'm not in a position to do the sums, I'll not press this one and would be prepared to be persuaded if someone came up with definitive numbers to back up this claim of 1000. However, specifically in the case of ICT - and WITHOUT the County factor - Rangers formerly came to visit, on average 1.5 times a season. Even adding in Rangers fans slipping into the home end, 3500 would seem to be a fairly generous estimate of average attendance by Rangers fans at games at TCS. That's 5250 (3500 x 1.5) a season or, if you divide by 19 home games, about 275 per game, which is much lower than the 1000 stated. As it happens, if Highland Derbies are similarly attended, that should cancel out the above effect and - all other things being equal - gate receipts should be unaffected. Also take into account that there is now only one and not two clubs to claim a disproportionately large share of revenue which should leave more for the rest. As for the "new" SPL, well obviously the departure of Rangers now makes the top 6 and European places that much more accessible which by definition makes the league more competitive. And in any case what's the difference between two teams being able to win the league and one team being able to win the league? Answer - the outcome of Old Firm (or should we now call in "Former Firm") games which per se are of no interest at all to the other teams in the SPL anyway. There is also, I believe, a chance here for a new beginning in Scottish football. There is a glorious (I hope that's not an inappropriately triumphalist or hubristic turn of phrase! ) opportunity here for our game to free itself from this absurd duopoly by two clubs both made artificially and disproportionately larger than the rest by religious division and Irish politics in an area a long way from here - factors which don't even have the remotest connection with football in Scotland. One further thought - where will all the ex Ibrox Glory Hunters go now?2 points

The SFA has money and could alleviate the pressures on clubs. I think the future is a total shake-up of the way things have been run. I hope people will realise that giving the lions share to the top team(s) in the hope of european success was a total failure and that we need everyone on a level footing to create competition. Scottish football was successful before the SPL and TV and it could be again. Change will take a few years to bring fruit but I believe it will happen.2 points

There were some immense performances by Aberdeen and Dundee Utd, but the reality is that it was far easier to reach finals in those days when it was more cup and less league. Only a few teams to overcome to get to a final. And the strongest nations weren't allowed to flood the competions with all their top sides like they do now, the European Cup was one country, one entrant, regardless of how good they were.1 point

I'm going to sound like a broken record here but mysely, mrs ymip, ymip jr (ICT diehard), miss ymip and ymipette are off on our summer jollies on Tuesday. Ymip Jr has been harping on about getting next season's strip for his holidays and as per usual we have no product to purchase. This happens every summer and it frustrates me hugely that an SPL club is unable to secure a delivery schedule which coincides with peak kit buying season. Funnily enough we're off to Italy and within reasonable driving distance of Errea's base in Parma. I'm thinking of nipping past and encouraging them to get their finger out and get the bleedin' gear delivered.........you never know we might even get our mitts on a strip before the club do.1 point

More money perhaps but to a team which is not that much better at all than ICT --so if he continues to shine amid the relative mediocrity around him and comes out still shining at the end of the season why is that not a good move for him? If he went to a bigger team with a lot of so-called stars in it then he might not stand out so much. He is not from Inverness so he can hardly be called a disloyalist and he is still very young and not THAT experienced a player so if he keep his cool, and his mouth shut and does the business on the field, I think he could ultimately get a very good move south within 2 seasons. At his stage he has plenty of time to develop and is quite entitled to move on to pastures new if he is ambitious. Good luck Jonny; just concentrate on working hard and doing the business.1 point

Bit of a difference though. Robson went to Dundee United who were in the league above ICT at the time. Cowie went to the Championship with Watford. That's the thing here, if Hayes had signed for Bristol City for example, as was rumoured a while back, I think the ICT fans - like they did with Rooney - would see how he was going to a far bigger team, in a better league and unanimously wished him well. Hayes hasn't done that though, he's moved sideways for nothing more than money and that attitude could be detrimental to him in the long run.1 point

Squad List has been released a****st the players involved. And I must say, with being pals with most on there, I recon we've definately got the spirit and desire in the squad to give them over the bridge a damn good game... Ohhhh how I'm looking forward to this!!! BRING 'EM ON1 point

What nonsense he's on about. The same old stuff about how big a club Aberdeen are, you'd think it was Barcelona he was signing for! I can't say the move surprises me though however and (going by some of the stories about his behaviour [his involvement in the Lee Cox assault incident for one]), he never did strike me as one of the sharper tools in the toolshed. Ah well, the Caley Curse will strike again!1 point

It has to be Dunfermline who are in the SPL next season. Basicaly Rangers have been relegated for being down wright irregular and out of order so there HAS been a relegation. As a result there is no need to put down the team ghich finished bottom of the league. Dundee going up would also stick in my throat after all there admin nonsense which we all thought was terrible until Rangers set totally new standards here.1 point

If distance is that much of an issue, Killie should apply for the Ayrshire Juniors. Or are most of the teams in the wrong part of Ayrshire?1 point

Think we should write to him again and point out that we don't have any debt either1 point

Can the supporters Trust be a vehicle for cash donations that are then used to buy shares in the club. This way the generosity of the fans of today, in supporting the club in its moments of need, can build a lasting legacy of share ownership, and therefore a stronger voice in the club.1 point

:clapping: Will be up in Sneck next week so will hand over a donation - I am doing some individual CBT sessions with ICT personnel as part of the pre season regime. Will double the donation if you can manage to gob on some Fifers on the flight or on the way down.1 point
