Does anyone else think that Terry handled last week perfectly? It seems like he knows his players and thought they had earned that type of reaction from him. He was equally grounded after today's result and I think this season he is playing a blinder. People are right to criticise after a defeat but I don't think any of our players deserve to be singled out to the extent Foran was when things go bad. Brilliant today boys and another game we have scored in.6 points

After a disastrous run of one defeat in 11 ict silence the doubters. Get tae **** in there!!!!5 points

DalneighCaley and Dougal remind me of fans of a band who have been following a group from its early incarnations. As the band gets more popular and more people come along to see them and buy their music the "original" fans resent them for not being there from the beginning and the band as well for "selling out". They slag the band off at every opportunity for "changing", despise the new fans for not knowing what the band is "really about" and pine for the days of old when they used to watch the band with 4 other people.5 points

Utterly incredible that some fans of the club are bashing others because of where they come from.3 points

After last season I feel that this season is like going back with a boring girlfriend after she has cheated on you with your best mate, to find she has learned a thing or two and is suddenly more exciting and adventurous. Some boyfriends realise they have to get over it quickly or the relationship is doomed, some feel that the girlfriend has to suffer just a little bit more before they can trust again. With that in mind I think the doubters should be cut some slack. I am going to give them until the December 31st to stop greeting every time she looks in the general direction of another man then if they still feel the same they can feck off and watch county. Appreciate your thoughts2 points

When I worked in insurance in the 80s there was a fabulous tale going around that someone had claimed on their home policy that their rear garden had spontaneously combusted...the heat causing a stash of golf balls to fire randomly into the next door garden where an unsuspecting loitering teenager just happened to...2 points

Whoever YOU think of as a legend is undoubtedly one ... and we will all have our own ideas as to who fits in that category. For me, the true club legends are Tokely and Christie .... guys who ate, slept and breathed ICT for more than a decade each !!! Other players like Mann, Wilson, Stewart, Calder, Teasdale, and even Black may be called or viewed as legends, (even by me), but the more people you give that title to, the less relevant it becomes. "Hall of Fame" is a better idea as far as I am concerned .... HoF Member would be a way to recognise players who have been "extremely important" to the development and progress of ICT, but to reserve the title of 'legend' to those who are 'in with the bricks' as it were.1 point

Did we actually beat the league leaders on their own patch today for the first time in the league and chucked in a clean sheet about it too? It doesn't f*cking feel like it here.1 point

We've just beaten Celtic 1 - 0 and people are still arguing! Incredible forum this at times.1 point

Think we need to add a "Where we work" section to profiles so we can all go round each others work and boo the feck out of people when they have a one off bad day.1 point

People (like me) said the result and performance was rubbish. It was. Last week the players were booed off and deserved it. This week the players were accoladed for their great result and performance. They deserve it. Simple. Seems even after great victories the uber-fans are still more interested to attack their fellow fans, even when they are praising the team, than doing likewise themselves! Very strange.1 point

Absolutely mind boggling. That's why I don't go to the games at Celtic Park. A bunch of fluorescent cretins seemingly desperate to throw you out.1 point

Well said. Absolutely phenomenal result from the boys today. Im soooo gutted i couldn't make the game but by all accounts it was a really good performance and we more than deserved to win. Terry Butcher is doing such a good job but never really gets the credit he is due from our support. Really don't know what it is with our lot but sometimes the demands are unreal. I really feel like giving the v's to the majority that slagged us off last week. Particular mention to the tactical genius that is the immortal howden ender. What did you think of today? Did butcher get it wrong as he always does? No i don't think so. If everyone starts backing this team then we can really go places this season. Mon the caley!1 point

Well let's put it this way say a pet cat gave birth in a kennel it doesn't make the kittens puppies does it? You are a perfect example of the type of ICT fan that the club targeted and that make up a large proportion of our support Yokels can accuse me of fishing if they want but the fact that other posters agree with me only shows that I and others don't tow the party line on CTO and have our own opinions. Is it any wonder more and more posters stop logging in and choose Pie & Bovril as an alternative? Dougal I was an incomer who is now moved away again. I have followed ICT since 1994, so have no affiliation to what went before. And going by this trash, I am glad I didn't have to mix with such idiots as Dougal or Dalneigh.1 point

Good post - I suspect it is much the same in the other areas that I alluded to. But 4-5 years ago when I came "home" I could only ever see Old Firm and European tops in the streets and parks of Inverness. Now there are usually as many ICT tops as the others. ICT has a younger, developing support. It is the new generation and that is why we should be really targeting schools and outlying communities. Our/my generation were brought up mainly supporting Caley or the Fools as a second team. Many still hold those allegiances, many scorned the birth of ICT, many stuck by their "big" teams and quite a few watch ICT due to on-going friendships but ICT are the second choice team. I suspect that Joe and his peers are the commencement of the first post-merger generation and they are fairly solidarity in numbers and betrothed in their support. The next generation is coming along. This thread is yet another merger orientated one and it is the pre-merger influences who are using the terminology "incomers". There is a lack of support and enthusiasm related to the 35 year old plus population but hopefully a growing support of the under 35 population. And what is the terminology/ criteria of "incomer" - I suspect that I may also be one - and if so I am proud to be one - as I chose to move fer the financial safety of my family, am happy where I am but I class myself as a born and bred Invernessian. It will always be my home and unlike many others I have chosen ICT well in front of my old Cellic "roots" - unlike many others. O2feckinB1 point

12.45 on a feckin Sunday and live on Sky - what do you feckin expect. Have to agree Wiv Dougal to a degree as many of the Sneckie based attenders that I know still have allegiances to other SPL teams, mainly the Old Firm and Aberdire - old Caley and Jeggies - and a lot of them ain't going any more. Many of the newer fans that I have met in the last 2-3 seasons are what Dougal refers to as "incomers" although quite a few have some roots in the Highlands. What has always puzzled me is that we don't have groups of fans - who could share a minibus and start up supporter branches in the likes of Speyside, Moray, Ross-shire, Fort William, the far north, the West Coast and the Isles, Why are we not enticing them on board ?1 point

If we can get Hogg back early next year thats better than a new signing for me. Unless we have a vast array of hidden funds and can bring in real high quality players then its better spent on thse we have and new contracts - the team is showing its starting to gel even after a poor result at the wknd, who knows if we keep the team together for another season we may be able to push on further.1 point

ageed drapers the in your face player weve lacked. hes like a giant lee cox. (but better) I agree, it would def put the Celtic players off if we got in their face with some giant Cox.1 point

No, its not just a change of name it is a new company altogether, an entirely different entity. You can buy a stadium, you can acquire the intellectual property rights to a badge, but you cannot buy history! Find me a single thing they've said that is a lie. More to the point, Craig Whyte thought Rangers would lose this case and offered a settlement on that basis, whilst Charles Green thought they'd lose it too and created a newco which would not have any responsibility to pay up. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if HMRC appeal and win.1 point
