In the 2009/10 promotion run in, 6 games from the end we were dropping points at home to Raith, 3-3, until a certain Richie Foran fired home in the 94th minute. Delirium.4 points

Been watching the match again on BBC. Vincent Lunnie should take a look at Vigurs' antics at gaining the foul from Raven. Raven fouls him early on but he plays on because there's a chance of getting to the bye line. Then when there's no contact he throws himself down.3 points

What an incredible game. The whole day was brilliant and I am still buzzing from it. I can imagine County fans will be feeling sick about losing such a late goal but there is very much a "never say die" attitude about this ICT team again. We have ground out results and fought back when previously we would just crumble and let the opposition run riot (Motherwell excepted of course!) Great pre match banter on the train with ICT and Staggies fans mixing and engaging in some harmless banter. This seemed to run over into the Mallard with a good chorus of songs being belted at the opposition fans from either side of the pub. Quite a squash in that new stand but it seemed to generate a fantastic atmosphere throughout the game. I didn't really hear much from the Jailend but you can definitely hear the supporters on the TV so hopefully the atmosphere came across well. I thought the first half was largely poor, lit up by that incredible strike from McKay. Very poor defending from a County point of view but take nothing away from the finish which was top class and will only serve to draw more attention to the lad with a number of clubs supposedly interested. County did have an effort scrambled off the line it looked like which led to a rapid ICT counter attack with McKay unable to force the ball home. Having watched the highlights again I didn't realise what a disgusting challenge Tokely had put in on Doran as he was about to shot. Disgraceful lunge onto his ankle. Always thought he was a thug... You could see that, when County emerged at the start of the second half, they had had a rocket up their backsides from Adams. They were all over ICT with some really direct and aggressive play. We were struggling to contain them and what a fantastic strike from Quinn to level things up. As soon as the ball left his foot you could see it was going in. A fantastic strike. I dashed off for a whizz so I missed the Foran goal but having seen it on TV he was offside but was also being pulled all over the place by Tokely. Had he not been getting held by the fouling mutant then he might have been able to get out of the way. Adams seems to miss this when talking about the goal for some reason. Definitely a stroke of luck for ICT all the same. Definite stroke of luck for County with Vigurs goal. Horrendous deflection off Raven that sent it looping over Reguero and into the net. Vigurs with the classic GIRUY celebration which riled some of the ICT fans but I must admit I would do the exact same if I was a player and I love it when our guys do it to wind up the opposition. Awful defending for what everyone thought was the winner. Blatant cheating by Vigurs to win the free kick but again ICT didn't cover themselves in glory defensively. We had a great angle behind the goal to see the ball being whipped in and it didn't look like the wall was properly set up at any point by Reguero and we should really have had a man on the back post for balls that come in as this one did. Cue mad scenes from the home fans as they thought they had won it only for Tudor Jones to rattle in a 40 yard effort (Rankin squiggler anyone?) that had Brown completely bamboozled. From the corner someone scored. Maybe Foran, maybe Roberts. Who knows but the away end exploded as if we had won the Cup! Great to see, as The Scarf says, a few of our players rub Vigurs face in it after his premature celebrations earlier. Ever funnier was Adams at the final whistle and he resultant gurn in the post match interview The man is clearly a very spoilt little child who is an awfully sore loser (or in this case, drawer). The guy moans about the timing of the ICT third goal but seems oblivious to the fact that if, as he claims, there was only 92 minutes to be played, then County wouldn't have had time to score their third goal. All in all I thought the game was low on quality for the most part but off the charts in terms of entertainment and drama. I can't see there being another Derby game like that with as much entertainment. Others have already made comparisons to other 3 - 3 games with late goals in Inverness. I mind Wyness grabbing a couple of late strikes to salvage a draw and there was also one where County were 3 - 0 down (I think). This game possibly goes ahead of both of them such were the lateness of some of the strikes that saw one team snatch victory from the jaws of defeat only to get pegged back again and draw the game. After the match there was some great banter in the pub and all the County fans we met were great sports over the result. I can barely remember the train back to Inverness and I was feeling slightly tender this morning when I woke up. Looking forward to seeing the photos on CaleyJags.com whenever they go up. Sadly there's no way I can get to the replay due to work commitments so I am hoping that the match is on TV. After the first 93 minutes (not 92 Derek!) the BBC or Sky would be stupid not to look at screening this match.3 points

We have, over the years, scored a number of very satisfying goals in the dying seconds of important matches as well as falling victim to more than a few and there is no doubt that last Saturday's was one of the most satisfying but it is not my personal favourite. That distinction goes to a cold winter evening in Methil when we were playing East Fife in a Scottish Cup replay when they were a division ahead of us and Steve Archibald was their player manager. The Fifers held an unmerited 1-0 lead deep into injury time when the egotistical Mr Archibald decided to substitute himself both to run down the remaining seconds and to milk the applause from the home fans. he walked off at a pace that could easily be matched by my aged mother. His reaction when big Herchy used the time the ref added on as a result of his antics to bundle in the equaliser was a sight to behold making Derek Adams seem like a gracious loser and was compounded when we went on to win on penalties. One of my top ten best experiences while supporting our wonderful club without a doubt.2 points

Assuming that common sense prevails on the details of how it is done, I actually quite like it ! The top 8 would be vying for European slots - an increase on the current 6 teams in the top half of the split. We have finished 7th or 8th a few times so this would be good for us. The middle 8 would be competing to finish in the top half of their mini league and get up to, or remain in, the top tier. for lower league teams, thats a better chance to be promoted than the current 1 up 1 down. For SPL teams, it would also be a lifeline to stay in the top tier as theoretically they should stand a better chance of competing with the other teams in the mini league and would be able to do that over a run of 14 games instead of a one-off or two-legged playoff. The bottom 8 seem to only be playing to avoid relegation, but that too should be important .... depending on the number of slots ..... ? The one thing I would like to see come out of this though is that any new setup does not penalise teams in the second (or third) tier if their stadium is not compliant, nor does it make them have a plan in place in March or April for a league they wont know they are going to get into until the end of May .... encourage teams to have compliant stadiums, but where they dont, then give them some leeway to develop stadiums during their first term in the SPL1 using the increased revenue to help, rather than bouncing them back to the lower league. Promotion and Relegation should be on merit (or lack thereof) not based on how much plastic is surrounding your park (at least initially).2 points

Waiting for our report to be uploaded to main news page, but due to technical difficulties we have been unable to get bit online yet........... ..........so here it is, yer very own sneak preview Late drama at Shadows gig Inverness forced a dramatic last gasp equaliser which abruptly wiped the grin off a disgruntled Derek Adams' dial, and it had appeared only a minute earlier. This was the finish to end all finishes as Richie Foran drove home the ball with the last kick of the game to bring Adams to the verge of tears. It was a bright sunny day for the early kick off and the low sun would play a part in the action as the game reached a crescendo. The early action was a bit hectic with Inverness controlling the flow of the game without being too creative and County were chasing shadows for most of the first half. Billy McKay broke the deadlock with a superb volley after Foran nodded a ball back across goal. Rocco Quinn returned the compliment with an equally impressive strike then some bizarre goals swung the game in favour of the Dingwall side. Richie Foran appeared to glance a McKay shot with his face, wrong footing Mark Brown to put the visitors ahead once more. A huge deflection off David Raven saw an Ian Vigurs shot loop high over a stranded Reguero and the crazy sequence continued as a Richard Brittain free kick found it's way into the net after everyone missed it in the box, including Reguero. Game over you would have thought, Derek Adams certainly did, but after a thunderous forty yard strike by Owain Tudur-Jones was pushed away, the resulting corner saw Foran snatch a deserved leveller as he turned a Meekings header into the net to send the Caley Jags fans into hysterics. It was a frenetic opening half hour with neither side creating much although Inverness had the upper hand. That would change after half an hour whem Billy McKay scored a superb opener. Doran's free kick was headed back across goal by captain marvel Richie Foran and McKay swivelled some fifteen yards out to volley a beauty behind Mark Brown high into the net off his right hand post. It looked at this point that Inverness would sweep County aside but they almost equalised near half time when a Brittain free kick rattled Reguero's post with the keeper ensuring the ball stayed out. The loose ball found Vigurs slamming a shot goalward but it was brilliantly blocked on the line and Inverness broke swiftly to the other end. McKay had rounded Brown but his shot from a tight angle was also blocked on the line. Foran headed the corner just wide as the half ended with a flourish. It would be a taster of what was to come in the second period. Half Time 0-1 Less than five minutes into the second half and County drew level with a stunning goal of their own. Kovasevic was afforded too much space on the right and as he rolled the ball across the edge of the box, Quinn matched McKay's effort to curl the ball across Reguero into the roof of the net from twenty yards. County then looked the more likely to go on and win the game as the Inverness midfield disappeared and the Staggies new found belief saw them pressure the visiting defence, but they held firm with some frantic defending. A rare foray forward saw Andy Shinnie turn sharply in the box but Brown saved well low to his left as Inverness started to come to grips with the game again and when McKay tried a shot from distance, part of Richie Foran diverted the ball beyond a stranded Brown, from a suspiciously offside position, although Ross Tokely pulling Richie back could have seen a penalty given. Inverness were back on top now and looked likely to stretch their lead but it was the home side who threw a spanner in the works when Vigurs strolled forward some thirty yards out. He tried a long distance shot which Raven tried to block but all he succeeded in doing was to loop the ball high over the outstretched Reguero and into the net. If you thought that one was hard to take, the next one was even tougher. Vigurs was handed a free kick after a soft Raven challenge and Brittain drove a low curling ball into the six yard box. It's one of those ones where everybody is frightened to touch the ball and as nobody appeared to, it ended up in the back of the net. That cheered up Mr Adams, but his grin was swiftly removed a minute or so later. Inverness surged forward one last time and a vicious Jones thunderbolt from nigh on forty yards saw Brown struggle to keep the swerving ball out, and from the corner that followed, Meekings header landed near Foran and he scooped the ball goalwards. Nobody is sure who scored it, Roberts might be brave enough to try and claim it, and the elation drained rapidly from Derek's face as the game was over. Full Time 3-3 Not the most technically brilliant game, but it was accepted cup tie fare and two sensational goals a bit of controversy, a one man pitch invasion, flares and a greetin faced git just made my day. You couldn't write this........oh well someone has to and the dramatic end to the game just rounded off a hectic cup tie with it all to do again in the replay at Inverness. A draw was a fair reflection on the game and if the replay is half as enthralling then it will be worth watching. tm4tj MotM is going to Richie Foran who cropped up in the right places at the right time and boy, did he enjoy those goals  .2 points

Brewster in injury time at home to Hearts for 2-1 in September 2007. The significance was that we had lost our first 6 games of the season (when Christie quit) and it wasn't looking good again when we went a goal down. We pummelled them in the 2nd half and got an equaliser, then after 86 minutes the new manager brought himself on. He volleyed that cross in so hard I think it would have taken my head off if the net hadn't been there. A goal which gave us hope and confidence and a rather hyper journey home.1 point

I was thinking after the game, which County players would get into the current ICT side. It was pretty clear from early on which side was challenging from the title and which one was down near the relegation zone. By my reckoning, Richard Brittain would get in and despite Raven's improved performances over the last couple of months, I think Kovacevic would get in ahead of him. Iain Vigurs skills-wise would be challenging for a place, but with his attitude he's probably more trouble than he's worth (hence the reason why Butcher punted him in the first place). Scot Boyd (despite my previous feelings that he was one of County's better players), on yesterdays showing would not get in ahead of Meekings and certainly not ahead of Warren. The likes of Mark Brown, Gary Glen et all, would be nowhere near the ICT starting line-up. I think if County were to lose Brittain, they'd be in big trouble (hopefully he [and Kovacevic!], will be heading to the nicer side of the bridge in January ). PS - Despite, what some were saying at the time, I thought in October, Tokely overall had a decent game at full back. Not yesterday though, I thought he was rotten!1 point

DA moaning about' Fergie time'? He claimed 2 minutes but he was only a few feet away from the board which said 3 minutes and his own announcer said min 3 mins. Moaned about 'offside goal' but not the wicked deflection for their goal or the pathetic fall for Britton's freekick. Mind you it was worth it to see his wee greetin face...1 point

What a bitter little man Derek Adams. While he may have a point about Foran's first goal, there was no way the third County goal from the free kick was a foul. Vigurs just fell over! And what's this he's saying about the ICT equaliser?! "There was two minutes of added time and Inverness scored in 93rd minute"?! There was three minutes of added time Derek, did you not see the board? The man holding it was right next to you! I see County really do live up to their ugly reputation. They kick everything that moves and hoof the ball forward again and again. Crude and cowardly football. PS - Did anyone else notice that throughout the game, we were in the sun, while the County fans were always in shadow? Ironic eh!1 point

Ross Tokely......i'm sorry WHO??????? He was a legend with us and will always remain a legend but he's moved on to another club and it just happens to be are rivals. Every Cou*ty player should be getting BOOED. If they played for us or not they are the emeny BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MON THE NESS!!!!1 point

Welcomed back? For goodness sake he plays for our rivals now. He is for all accounts and purposes the enemy now.1 point

Ehh? The reason people sang his praises was because he was good at playing football and did it for a long time with our team. He did that because he got paid well to do so. He no longer plays for us as he wasn't going to be paid so well, so chose to do the same thing for our biggest rivals instead. I thought the booing was pretty mild really anyway. He is trying everything he can to beat us now so what did he expect? We are ICT fans not Ross Tokely fans.1 point
