  1. Confirmation today in the P&J that he is leaving. Not entirely clear whether the decision is his or the club's. Sorry to see him go as he has been more than steady since his return to first team action. Showed courage and determination in coming back from an injury that could quite easily have proved career ending and probably still has his best years ahead of him. Sorry both for him and the club that his time with ICT didn't prove a happier experience and best wishes for a successful and injury free future.

  3. Please don't encourage these silly people. We will all now suffer more searches than normal and nobody is impressed by this childish behaviour. Let's just take a few beach balls and have a fun day out. Flares/smoke bombs are not clever and they are not funny.

  12. Really sorry to see Shane go. I think he's a great player in the making but it just hasn't quite clicked for him. He has been consistently played out of position and never been given a decent run in the team. If he goes down a division or two I think he will score a hatful of goals and then have the confidence to succeed at SPL level. Never quite developed the composure here to take the chances here when they came his way. He'll not be forgotton - there's plenty of dents in the back of the North Stand to act as permanent reminders of his time here.

  13. or the pink panther theme: Doran - Doran - Doran Doran Doran Doran Doraaaan. He's wee, he's tough, he doesn't score enough...he's Aaron Doran, on the wing. Sure he'd take it as good fun...maybe

  18. Can we keep this thread to the subject of players we have got signed up for next season, rather than discussion of who we could/should be signing from elsewhere, please!

  19. Assuming the Soccerbase stats to be correct I've compiled a comparisson of both keepers. Last weeks County game is excluded because both keepers are credited with it. Tony, Played 20. Wins 11. Draws 6. Shutouts 6 Ryan, Played 17. Wins 1. Draws 10. Shutouts 3 Ryan has been very good for us but his injury this season is puting doubt in my mind that he can sustain No1 next season. I do, however, see him as a good standby and help to the No1 choice and I think Tony is just coming onto top form now and we should try and keep him as the No1 with Ryan there to keep him tip top. These stats are meaningless. They don't mean that Reguero was responsible for all the wins when he played, nor that Esson was responsible for all the defeats when he played. Esson has deservedly been number one for two or three seasons, and in my eyes should retain this position next season. I still hope we can retain Reguero though, but as a great back up for Esson.

  20. As stated already, players can only move if the club accept payment for the remainder of their contract. However, I don't think that's the point here...the point is we now have some of our most influential players stating that they WANT to be here by signing extensions. Just as important is the fact that there's others who are stating that they WANT new contracts. You then have the cherry on the top with a manager who refused (substantially) more money to go manage elsewhere and who is positively talking about what he is going to do with his guys next season. How/Why anyone would see that as a negative and choose to try and put a dampener on it is beyond me. I'm not naive and I appreciate that there's the potential for offers to come in for players...but I'd far rather we were in the position we are where offers would HAVE to be made, than in a position where players were looking for pre-contracts for next season and/or walking away for nothing!!!

  22. Having had another think about it what would be the point in letting Hogg go if thats him just getting back to full fitness. That would have been a waste of a years wage. After playing in the U20s match i would like to see him get some more match fitness before the end of the season, and if he is injury free then i'd give him a 6 month deal to run him over until January and see what he has in him.
