  1. What an absolute load of rubbish, do you honestly think he was on £10,000 a week?

  2. Now now Dougal it was established long ago why RC had higher average attendances.... 1. They count eyes, not heads. 2. Most have 2 heads as a result of in-breeding, and 3. They can't actually count. It's just widely estimated guess work.

  3. Can we give it a f*cking rest with all the merger crap on every thread. The same few people dragging conversation onto that topic time and time again, boring the sh*t out of the majority of other users and killing the forum.

  4. After a short spell at Nantwich Town after we released him, I see Oswell went out to Australia last month and signed for a team called A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers, in the New South Wales league. So the space of a few short months, his whole world has been turned upside down.

  5. All I can say is - We're probably now the first football team to have a club shop visible from space!

  6. Strachan is entertaining, Holloway is entertaining, but Shiels - the man has an ego the size of Derek Adam's chip, and blinkers that would do a mammoth. He lost me when he started moaning about travelling to Inverness. Good riddance I say.

  7. Ppersonally I find him entertaining! Football needs it characters IMO

  8. Roberts is one of those frustrating players who has great basic talent and vision but just seems to lack the heart and motivation. If Terry and the rest were unable to instil that into him when he was here then there would be absolutely no point him coming back. A great talent wasted IMHO but the lad only has himself to blame.

  9. Clearly too late for this year but can we try very hard next close season not to have yet another tedious endlessly repetitive merger 'debate' ?

  10. According to the BBC it has ensured pot 4. The future with Matthew Kennedy, Islam Feruz, Jack Harper, Alex Davey, along with mainstays like Snodgrass, Morrison, McArthur, new manager, ....maybe this is the beginning of the end of our malaise?

  11. maybe the reason there are more english players than scots is that theres 6 million scots and 53 million englsih folk?? in the uk? and maybe there are more engish players to choose from?

  13. Ok it looks tragic but the issue isn't really the colours it's the portacabin/open skip or whatever it is To have that in front of the main stand shouts lack of professionalism if I'm being honest Our club shop should be an integral part of the stadium and should be situated inside the stand itself or in the town centre Dougal

  15. Its still a portakabin - no matter what colour it is, surely the builder could make something a wee bit more professional? it all stinks of temporary to me.

  16. The youngters on the forum want to learn who we are signing for next season, what the new away strip will look like and whether or not smoke bombs at derby matches are a wise idea.

  17. I once found threads on this subject very interesting indeed and was keen to hear the views and opinions of ex Caley fans, ex Jaggies, folk new to Inverness, folk who took no or very little interest in football in the Highland League days and, indeed, those who were, at the time, too young to care or remember. Frankly, however, although I am guilty of still contributing myself, it must be a decade or so before anyone has said anything fresh or novel. The current merger thread may be at 400 posts but not a single one of them contain anything that has not been aired in any of the dozens of threads on the subject which have gone before. That said, it remains a topic of valid interest so could someone please give me a nudge and wake me up if anybody ever says something new on the subject.

  19. do you always base your opinions on players on their jumping ability? Owain served us well last season, and was part, of what i think was probably the best centre midfeild partnership in the league, alongside draper, in particular over the long spell we had from september to february, with 3 loses in toal in that 5 month period. Owain was a total ball player, not a tackler, not an aerial threat, but a technician. I think we'll miss him, draper and foran did well together recently in the centre, but neither have owains ability, and finding as good a balance in the centre without him, will be tough. over to you mr marsella. In saying that if hes the only other player along with A.Shinnie, and Reguero, thats fine by me. 2 will be tough to replace. As for Requero? we have Esson, its just about getting decent cover for him.
