  1. I'm sure the runners will appreciate any assistance at the water stations, regardless of how much they paid to run.... I'll try to get along with HeScoresWhenHeWants for a couple of hours :)
  2. I do hope you get enough volunteers. I'm one of these so called 'unsuspecting members of the public' running it. Aye, it is quite pricey to enter compared to other races. Marathons around the world are getting more and more commercial and run for profit. I couldn't care less. I'll have my running shoes on and will be looking out for the CJT station and some friendly faces :)
  3. When it comes to the planners of Scottish Football even God himself ain't got a feckin scoobies
  4. Jeez who would have thought handing out a few bottles of water could be so controversial.

We could offer free cookies when people walk in? May sound stupid but anything's worth a try, a little boy coming as a one off and receiving a cookie? He might like it and enjoy the football more and it could also build up an appetite to eat more therefore buying at the tea bars?

I had more fun last weekend watching ICT than I did listening on the way back home tonight to the dross that Enger land dished up tonight. And that's from a proud Englishman who wears his country's flag as a tattoo on his arm! Many thanks to all you said hello around the ground and within.. even the Hearts fans were pleasant before and after. And thanks to Davie for coming and finding us to say hello, and thanks to IHE for shouting out to us and calling out to Sue! Shame you weren't wearing a kilt! I shall still use this forum as a new long distance fan.. I cant wait to come again and see your brilliant Boys In Blue!
  8. Yep worth two hours I'm sure

I was Watching Scotland vs Belgium the other night and I was thinking where could they improve. That is where I noticed the shocking, awful, terrible defender at Left back they have. I feel ashamed to be Scottish when we decide to pick players that are awful and refuse to play the better players we have to offer such as josh Meekings. He is something like 22 years of age and has been rock solid for us this season and I have mentioned it before on another thread the best Left back in the SPL. So why is Strachan avoiding him? Of course he is not the only one that could take his place, there are many other good LB in the SPL that could easily play instead of that disaster of a man we are playing at this current moment. Also I have noticed we lack a goal threat, Billy Mckay top scorer in the SPL in amazing form and I am sure he would be willing to do a bit for Scotland. Again why is he being overlooked for players like Kenny Milner who do not have it in them anymore? It has taken a million years for Caley to put a good team together, I remember watching the in the Highland league thinking, we will be a top Premier team one day, and now we are here, top of the league and just being ignored? I think it's about time the Scottish FA open there eyes up and see that we are producing player with good quality and good enough for Scotland.

Larry Lloyd was a stalwart for Brian Clough, yet has never been selected to represent Scotland. He may be retired, massively overweight, not Scottish and living in England but the fact that Strachan hasn't even been to Inverness to see him play is just typical. No doubt if Lloyd was Scottish, half his age, lost 5 stone and was first choice left back for Real Madrid, Strachan would be right in there. Typical anti-provincial club attitude.
  11. Managed to get the Gateshead fans singing about Gary Warren haha. Crackeeen day.

Also, how are things going at Ross County by the way? Seem to be on a one way train trip on the Relegation Express from what I can see! Unlike a certain other Highland team!
  14. I want the Scottish cup. We have come so close a few times and I want that towsy, testing, tickle my tonsils win at Hampden before I end my days on this mortal coil. Then I can call it Humpthem Park.
  15. Isn't it amazing that we are actually debating whether we can win the league? Usually, at this stage of the season we are discussing whether we can avoid relegation!
  16. Top six has again to be the first objective and clearly achievable - second place is the ultimate and is achievable with LUCK and fortune in regard to injury and suspension - top three and a place in Europe is also achievable. Getting to a Cup Final is the potentially most pleasing from a fan perspective.
  17. Only one way to find out. No harm in trying it for a few weeks and see what the out come is
  18. Seems some are blaming things that go over the head on unsolicited use of accounts.... And David Goodwillie is a glamorous name? In adult film publications perhaps
  19. Point taken CB. We did receive a donation in return for our time when we did this last year. We stepped in at the last minute and it is a welcome boost to our coffers. I'm not sure that it would equate to minimum wage for the amount of people per hour but it was a donation we were happy with. Sadly we live in a world that is money motivated. I hope that lots of charities and good causes make a lot of money from the runners. I think you will find that the people who will give a couple of hours on this day already give a lot of hours to the football club
  20. Guys The linesman flagged for an offence that he thought he saw. The ref awarded a red card. Incorrectly in my view. A mistake was made and the game carried on. The outcome was not affected on this occasion. On the basis of TV evidence, Hearts will appeal and the card will be overturned. End of. Or am I missing something?

Just as I suspected - you are feckin raven bonkers.
  22. You know I've come to the conclusion that the club are doing almost everything they can to increase attendances already. I've come to accept we are a young club trying to grow its support. We already have the u12 free season tickets and free schools tickets. I would like this extended to u16s but I understand that this would cost the club money and they would need to replace this money if it were to happen. It's a long term project so must be given time. This suddenly has become an issue since we've been successful. It's as if we can't find anything else to discuss as everything on the pitch is good at the moment. Personally I think our core support is about 3000 very loyal folk who seem to attend regularly. Let's embrace that and move on.
