I have some sympathy with what you are saying but the fact is that is that it was the corrupt business of the old Rangers club that got in the way of the sport. To ignore the consequences of that corruption because it gets in the way of the social side is to condone it. Rangers fans may not like it, but the fact is that the current club is a separate legal entity to the old club even if the social support for the club is the same. If they don't like people pointing that out, they should direct their considerable vitriol at those responsible for the demise of the old club and not at those who defend integrity in sport. As a public broadcasting authority, the BBC should be making a point of distinguishing the new club from the old. This will be particularly important if and when The Rangers win a major national title. They need to be clear that this will be the first time the club has won this title and not pander to the vitriol of the fans who may like to think it will be the umpteenth time their club has won it. Such a distinction serves as a constant reminder to the footballing world that putting business before sport has a price attached to it2 points

Talks are at an advanced stage to keep extend Deans loan stay until summer next year. Full story here: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/ICT-look-to-extend-Brills-stay-16092013.htm Great news and given how well he has done i'm not surprised we are looking to extend the deal. He has been a commanding and reassuring presence at the back and has clearly given our back 4 a strong platform to build from.1 point

Like I said trying to diffierentiate between mediocre and rubbish was hard. Was a struggle to leave out players like Stratford and Fetai I tell you.1 point

Yes, changed days. When I were a lad, the local church organist and choirmaster was a chap called Roger Gay. These days someone with a name like that wouldn't be allowed within half a mile of a choir boy.1 point

Not sure what Tansey you were watching but at times his passing was terrible, a couple of long range goals does not make a player decent.1 point

McCaffrey should be a contender for the best XI imo. McBain was great - certainly better than mediocre. The rest, fair enough.1 point

To summarise the link, a poll in schools in Aberdeenshire has produced 8718 votes (75.4%) for NO and an embarrassing 2847 (24.6%) for yes. This isn't simply a case of this outcome just squeaking it. This is a massive NO majority - and using a very large satatistical sample compared with your average opinion poll. It is especially embarrassing for Salmond, coming as it does right in the back yard of the said MSP for Aberdeenshire East!! It is very interesting from one or two points of view. But principally, speaking here is the younger generation which current voters would leave holding the baby in later years in the event of a yes vote. This of course is also the generation which will become the decision makers and those responsible for running things when the oil starts to run out. You hear a load of selfrighteous nonsense from the separatists about "campaigning for the future of our children and grandchildren". Well it looks to me as if the said children and grandchildren are telling them - by a majority of more than three to one here - "Look we are quite happy as we are. Go away Alex and leave us alone!" Hopefully this should also be a strong message to possible yes voters not to try to impose a scenario which they clearly don't want on the generations which would have to live with its consequences. This poll also shows that Salmond's attempted flanker of enfranchising 16 and 17 year olds has backfired spectacularly! It seems to me that the SNP maybe thought/ hoped cynically that younger voters might not have the maturity to weigh up the arguments and come to an informed decision so might well base their decision on something less cerebral like watching Braveheart. This is another typical example of SNP "wish list politics". Because instead, recent polling seems to suggest that it is male voters from west central Scotland who are perhaps being influenced in this manner. Meanwhile the youth of Scotland have shown that they are not the soft touch the separatists expected, but instead are showing a commendable degree of judgement here and are telling the SNP not to mess with their future.1 point

Unfortunately not. It used to be amazing for food, with it served almost like a school canteen. Utter garbage now that it has gone down the route of Belhaven standard menus. I'd suggest The Wig and Blackfriars on Castlegate if you wanted decent pub grub en-route to the stadium.1 point

It would be great if his loan was extended, but if he is set to become a free agent before the start of next season, what is to stop Luton recalling him and then selling him in the January transfer window? A short while ago he was 3rd string keeper at an English 5th tier club and now he is first choice keeper for the Scottish League leaders and getting rave reviews. His worth must have soared and surely Luton would be looking to make a few bob out of him.1 point

Administration pending unless...

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.
That's another fine mess you've got us into.-

New Chairman Wanted, Apply Within
tm4tj posted an article in News 2023-24,
Chairman Ross Morrison resigns
Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June. More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.
Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”
Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.
“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.
“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”-
