  1. SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY "Compliments of the day were earned by Gary Warren, however, after he saved Steven Thompson from a booking late on. The defender lost his footing as the St Mirren striker slid in to him, and referee Callum Murray reached for his pocket in believing contact had been made. “I don’t usually do that, to be honest with you. But he is a nice guy, I like him, and I didn’t want to see him booked. “He didn’t touch me so I wasn’t going to roll around in agony, like quite a lot of people do nowadays. The ref was going to book him but, at the end of the day, he is an honest guy and so am I. To be fair to the ref he said to me afterwards he was going to book him and thanked me for saying there was nothing in it. In football these days a lot of players fake things and dive around. But this game was played in the right spirit. I like to be aggressive and tough but also be fair as well.” It will never catch on."
  2. What the hell were the comments on Sportscene about? Along the lines of Hughes will try and change our style of play to not be so direct and use the wings more?! WTF?!?! Have they watched us play this season. A recent home game there was much talk of how many passes before we scored. Doran uses the wings well and is amongst the leagues top for assists. Shinnies is great at breaking up the wing. These pr1cks do my head in, it's like they don't bother to watch us play and just assume we are 2nd by accident. Use that for your "Siege mentality" Yogi! @rseh0les.
  3. They go on and on about Dundee Uniteds youngsters as if they are Fergies fledglings but never a word about how well our young players have done. Billy McKay - 25 Ross Draper - 25 James Vincent - 24 Marley Watkins - 23 Graeme Shinnie - 22 Aaron Doran - 22 Nick Ross - 22 Josh Meekings - 21 Ben Greenhalgh - 21 Liam Polworth - 19 They don't get the credit or recognition they deserve.

John Hughes continues to impress me, keeping unfancied ICT three points clear in second place in Scotland's top flight after a draw away to an inform team.
  5. Do we need one, what does he do, and why do left backs not get their own personal coach............just asking like
  6. We have two very capable and experienced keepers in Esson and Brill who will doubtless be keeping the younger lads right....so no panic, IMO.

It is indeed. We also got 5 clean sheets in a row in March 2010 in the first division season (4 wins and a draw), but we conceded after 12 minutes in the next game, the 4-3 win against Raith when Foran won it with the overhead kick. The 05/06 run of not conceding ended on the first day of the next season against St. Mirren, when we conceded after 55 minutes. Unless I'm wrong, our longest period without conceding a goal is about 515 mins, without taking into account added time. We're on about 375 at the minute.
  9. This was Carl Tremarco's 6th appearance for us, and the first time we didn't win. Still unbeaten though. On that subject, ICT are unbeaten in 6, whilst Hughes as manager is actually unbeaten in his last 5, despite 4 of those being at the worst team in League 1. And as I mentioned elsewhere, we have achieved 4 consecutive clean sheets. Lots of impressive stats, all just waiting to come crashing down at some point!
  10. Perhaps the majority should pay a bigger licence fee then? I for one am fed up of it all!
  11. The OAM team needs a clean out. Time to get rid of the dead wood with their dull patronizing humour.
  12. No doubt CB will come along soon and defend BBC. Its probably all Salmonds fault.
  13. He is liaising with IHE with a view to organising a 150 mile conga line stretching from Inverness to Leith.
