  1. Seems to be my kind of luck these days. Superb stuff. As much as I'd love to own it, I've hardly been the most loyal fan over the past couple of years, there will be a more deserving owner. How about running an auction on here, with the money going towards a local charity? Do any of you know somebody with a real hard luck story who would be cheered up somewhat by the shirt? Would there be any interest? If there isn't likely to be interest, then I'll have it for sure lol. I might even bid in an auction myself.

  2. I always found this tiki taka tooky wooky stuff always a dull as dishwater to watch. Endless passing is boring and not exactly going to get people through the turnstiles - if anything it'll turn people away. The Chile, Netherlands, Colombia, Germany etc, get the ball and attack - IMO that's good football and far more exciting to watch.

  4. Saw him play against us last August at Tannadice. He was hopeless! Billy McKay was hopeless for a whole year here before he came good. We know how good Goodwillie can be. If we gave him that lease of life up here you never know what can happen.

  8. 20 years on, I really prefer just to boil the merger down to four brief statements. It happened. It was controversial at the time. It worked. It has brought football in Inverness on light years since 1994.

  9. 4 out of 4 now. Quite remarkable, but it also has me kicking myself. Last weekend when Costa Rica were 1-0 down at half time, I was looking at the odds for which team would win that group. They were 50/1 which seemed quite generous for a team that looked they could play a bit, and I was literally within a mouseclick of putting a cheeky couple of quid on it before deciding it would almost certainly be money down the drain.

  12. Quite a few but I am too polite to name them. Another suggestion would be to give it to one of the overseas fans who rarely if ever get a chance to watch games other than on TV or Internet links. Id much rather let somebody who has suffered for the cause claim the thing. That means lots of travel, not being retired, being anti-hughes etc lol Im a mere 500 miles away myself.

  13. I appreciate that 12th Man but the shirt should go to somebody who deserves it more than me, its not the sort of prize that comes up on here very often . So who on here went to the following matches? October 2013 Sat 5 A St. Johnstone League 0 - 4 January 2014 Wed 1 H Ross County League 1 - 2 February 2014 Sat 8 A Stranraer Scottish Cup / 5th Round 2 - 2 March 2014 Sat 1 A Celtic League 0 - 5 Sun 9 H Dundee Utd Scottish Cup / Q-Final 0 - 5 April 2014 Sun 27 A Celtic League 0 - 6

  16. Now all of that I full agree with and long may it continue. But it is good to see that the likes of Mikey Noble remembers and appears to have the understanding missed by detractors, sceptics and people who think and act as if they are qualified to share opinions but basically are brainwashed as they were when it was happening. CaleytilIdie - Bring on Birmingham City. Unless they merge with Villa in the interim.

  17. Plan A and Plan B are both correct and are evidently linked. I never alluded to thousands but hundreds of born and bred Invernessians who are influenced by the experience and bitterness of the older generation in their families. They are being brought up to look at ICT as being an inbred establishment born out of local politics and power building and those individuals are more prone to follow the big teams originally followed by their forefathers and spreading the anti ICT message to their friends and probably to their offspring. I have never suspected that this explanation to be understood by the posters who have never been part of that family or privy to the psyche since the merger. Sometimes stories are more about the fans rather than looking at the politics and the management, especially when displaying them as saviours and beyond reproach - a bit like Terry Butcher perhaps ? And when you have a historical following of separated cheese and jam locally but can savour a menu of delicacies at a national level - you encourage others to go for the latter - especially if you feel that you have been forced to eat the cheese and jam whether they like it or not. And there is only one monster and that is the individuals who wear blinkers about the merger and get paid for writing fairy tales.

  18. And one more thing if those that don't want to read about the merger or complain about this thread why open it, the title of the thread gives you a good idea about the subject.

  20. If given the opportunity to re sign Reguero, I wouldn't have taken it IMO. I will always be thankful for his efforts in the season he was on our books but there's something unappealing about signing someone who hasn't played first team football for over a period of a whole year. In all honesty I am perfectly happy with having Dean Brill as No1 goalkeeper and I would have Cammy MacKay as No2 allowing Ryan Esson to focus on his coaching and play as an emergency keeper if needed. We desperately need a centre forward and then we are set for the new season to be honest.

    • Aaron Doran - Club Legend
Shameful: Thanks to Shane Sutherland, the generosity of friends, fans, former colleagues and opponents, Aaron has now had his operation. However it has emerged that he had posted on Instagram regarding his sad dismissal and treatment from the Board of Inverness CT who have treated Aaron in a similar way to which they have been treating the fans. Let's not forget that Aaron was due to have a testimonial for his service to the club.

    • Administration pending unless...
Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
