  1. Magical or not, top sides consistently beat teams like Hamilton and Motherwell. Hamilton are a good side but have lost 2 and drew 1 of their last 3. At home we should expect to win. Motherwell home or away on their current form we should expect to comfortably win

  4. Only the Scottish football authorities could manage to make the League Cup draw a few minutes after 3rd round of the Scottish Cup has finished. Meanwhile we need to wait till Monday for the draw for the competition which was played today.

  5. We certainly did have a real go in the last half hour and I think if we had taken one of the chances we would possibly have taken another. Our defence was strong and unyielding throughout the game Celtic were really frustrated by the number of blocks and numbers of defenders breaking up the attacks. True they had the edge in the first half but they were the more tired of the two teams at the end of the game. We may have lost but if ( again) if we had taken some of our chances the game would have been ours. A good display ICT, we deserved a draw

  6. On the face of it a one nil loss at Parkhead is not bad but it seems clear from the commentary that a bit more belief in the attacking ability of the team and this was a game we could have won. Celtic are no great shakes at the back and ealier pressure might have produced a different outcome.

  7. Which is why, outwith the circle of toffs who normally wore them, they used to be called "sh*te catchers". By the way I have a feelng that the W. Urquhart in that last photo is Willie Urquhart, Billy's dad who also used to play for Clyde when they were a force to be reckoned with. I only knew Willie much later than that but the resemblance seems quite strong and I do believe that Willie played for Thistle. IHE will be delighted that Caley's most prolific goalscorer is of Jeggie ancestry!

  9. Some of you may recall a Kevin McCann who played for us on loan from Hibs for the first half of the 2010-11 season but struggled wth injury. Well after leaving Hibs in 2011 he had short spells with Morton, Livi and Raith before joining Singapore S-League side Warriors. McCann and Warriors have just won the 2014 S-League becoming apparently the first Scot to win that title!!!

  10. Other than him, Celtic don't really pose too much of a threat. We have the ability to beat them, so let's go for it!'Celtic don't really pose too much of a threat' says Roughi - but goes for a 4-1 Celtic win in Gringo's NPL prediction league! If you take Guidetti out of their team, they ain't nothing special...but I wouldn't take what I say on the NPL for granted, I had us to win 6-1 at St Mirren... What do I know

  11. As someone who has long voiced support for free u16s at all games I hope this initiative is well supported. I'm heartened to see the club working so hard to increase crowds although it's a pity that they need to tbh.

  12. So, a kick that's over 70 yards, and you say "...if you score, you walk away with £100 Cash!!!" - "walk away" - not awfully likely really. £100 wouldn't even cover the vet's bill!
