  1. I went to the toilet on the 40th minute to save queuing at half time, I am not kidding the second my butt hit that seat I heard an almighty roar and immediately knew it was from our end. Kind of glad we won 2 - 1 because otherwise I would have celebrated our first cup final winner with my trousers around my ankles!
  2. GOOD LUCK INVERNESS CALEY THISTLE. The day has dawned, 60+ years on my wish can come true .......... excited yes and trying to ignore all my superstitions. Waiting patiently for the kick off. Would loved to have been with you lovely ICT fans but circumstances don't permit. Safe and happy journey to all of you...............enjoy our biggest ever day.
  3. Stayed overnight here in a hotel less than two miles from Hampden. Let me tell you, it's a gloriously day outside at 6 in the morning here in Weegieland and it's going to stay that way, cos I can feel it in my bones, we are going to win the Scottish Cup and it will soon be making its way up the A9, have no fear, let's all be positive this sunny day and cheer on the lads who have done us so proud this season. Enjoy a safe enjoyable journey down here and an even merrier one later in the day on our glorious return to Sneckie with that trophy. It's going to be our day ............see you all and hear you all from our seats in D1 later today. C'mon the CALEY !!!!!
  4. Up at 6a.m here in British Columbia. Canada. At 6.30 my new ICT fan pal, whom I've known for years, comes over and enters home. He is keen on ICT. Coffee on the stove for him after driving 40 K from his home to mine. He's an ex-goalie so knows his stuff. Feeds him a doughnut from Tim Hortons' coffee shop and he settles down to relax. Veteran city bus driver to trade , he's the best , calmest driver I have ever been with. Ex goalie for a junior team and so lots to talk about pre-match. When he saw the semi -final he was gobsmacked!!!! At this point I was barely able to stop the sneaky smile coming over my face because I knew I had him... Check T V to ensure everything is fine and dandy. Join Gary for a cup of coffee and pumps up cushions on Chaise Longue for the long haul. Have previously obtained permission from tenant downstairs to go ape if need be. Confirmed. Weather check is meaningless when I remember that I am not in Glasgow but here , in very warm and sunny Maple Ridge, B.C. 7a.m here in Western Canada on Saturday 30/5 ---- switch on T.V. to start the game . On our feet silently clapping the team onto the park and hope that the guys inside Hampden can hear us. Run to cupboard and get the smelling salts that I forgot on my first trip to get the coffee. Park these on the glass top of the table and remembers that Bob's your Uncle. Bottom Line, chums........have a great game. S.P + one. :ictscarf:
  5. should have gone to the bog again in the second half and saved us all a lot of pain!
  6. Nice to get back to my PC, my tablet got overexcited and stopped working properly....maybe it was because Lauraness mooned me..what a cheek or was it two cheeks? Anyway the lads did the Highlands proud, lost their way a bit in the second half but true to form when we needed a goal Vincent was there to smack Marley's rebound into the net.......what a moment, my dream came true. i said many years ago Inverness would one day have a Team in the top league win the Scottish cup and then the league. Well we are half way there now. What a season this has been what more could us fans ask for? to qualify for Europe in third place, then win the Scottish Cup on top of that. What a script !!! Another highlight for me was our Yogi with his two lovely daughters and the Cup between them having their picture taken I hope someone will post that photo on this forum as it is a cracker. Delight and pride personified. Well done ICT so very well done!
  7. Falkirk fans were brand new. Nothing but handshakes for me anyway. Makes a change from being gobbed at
  8. Not our finest game, but our finest moment! Totally overwhelmed by the occasion! No team I support ever wins ANYTHING....UNTIL TODAY!
  9. That was nerve wracking - but very happy now. Superb ending to a superb season - ICT scottish cup winners - sounds good eh!
  10. Hullo dear Canadian and U S chums.. After much work I have managed to oblige my Western Canadian T V friends to find me the channel , that's going to show the GAME on Saturday, So, finally I received a call today from my hard working Chinese Technician from Shaw Cablevision, the Western Canadian cable provider, to say that they have finally found a channel that is streaming the game . And are going to set this channel up for me today and check back on Saturday at 3.30 p,m (GMT) to make sure I am viewing it on my 52 " screen in full technicolour and in possible H.D. Now that's service with a smile eh? Wheeeeeee! I am ecstatic and jumping around in my living room punching the air as often as I can in a ridiculously childish show of emotion. I LOVE IT! Which I know you will not hold against me----- forever. I hope. The Shaw Cable Channel in Western Canada is in the green sports section ---GOL T.V. which I think is either 147 or 167 and probably is H D accessible. Gol T V states on their 2010 webpage that the channel is 151 but that surely must by now be out-of date.Total cost to me for the 3-4 days will be about $4---daylight robbery. GOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!
  11. Thank god I stayed in Weegieville last night and have only about 10mins to travel. My legs feel to weak to travel any further. Safe journey everyone and a momentous day ahead whatever happens.
  12. Good luck ICT! Fingers crossed for ya's
  13. What more do we need to say !! Well done to 'RedCard' for coming up with the idea and to those involved in putting the video together. Brought a tear to me eye ..... Personally I am gutted I cannot make it on Saturday but I will be with everyone all the way and through every single kick of the ball. Its not live on TV here but I have leveraged my IT knowledge and a few favours so I can watch it on my own big screen, or perhaps with a group of friends at a bar with even more humongous screens (if it works out). Wherever you are travelling from I wish you a safe journey there and back and hopefully we are all still smiling come 4:45 pm ! This week is going to fly by .......
  14. Depends what you ate for lunch IHE.
  15. Good Luck Inverness from an Aberdeen Fan. You have done your club and Scotland proud in recent Years. Now is your Time :-)

Would just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has supported us and been kind enough to pass comment throughout the week. Myself and the rest of the boys in the band could never have predicted the acclaim and coverage we would recieve but the song was written ultimately for the great people that follow ICT through thick and thin and we are so glad its captured the hearts of those people. We've done our utmost best to get folks well and truly psyched for tomorrow. Cannot wait!!
  17. I'm a relatively new fan after defecting from the blue half of the ugly sisters during the season of 03/04 when we first got promoted to the Premiership. My Dad is a Hibs fan so never really "forced" ICT on me. I supported Rangers because, to me, they were the best ( ) and who doesn't want to support the best team? But then I saw the light and began to support my local team, and at that point I never could have even dreamed about where we are today. Already qualified for the Europa League and tomorrow we have an amazing chance to win our first trophy. I can honestly say that supporting ICT has given me some of the happiest (and saddest) moments of my life so far, but that is what football is about. Not winning everything in sight, but a rollercoaster. Supporting ICT has been far more rewarding than supporting "them" ever was, and winning the trophy tomorrow would just top it all off. THIS IS OUR TIME.
  18. There's a very different feeling on the approach to this cup final on comparison to last years league cup. I'm putting it down to a number of factors. The Scottish Cup being a more prestigious competition with more history. The final is at Hampden the home of Scottish football and not Celtic Park. We are also firm favourites unlike last year. I guess last year what I was feeling was hope of winning, this season is expectation. If any of this makes sense haha!!
  19. me too ... and its only 9:20 here !

...and in another, player-manager Lionel Djebi-Zadi has just led us to a third victory in the Quidditch World Cup.
  21. http://caleythistleonline.com/page/index.html/_/previews-2014-15/scottish-cup-final-2015-r1277 Read all about it in here with predictions from the legendary Steve Hislop and Bobby Mann. "The 2015 Scottish Cup Final has arrived and no big Bhoys in sight, only Bairns. And, as the slogan says: It's Our Time. Hissy:- Look out the sombrero's as Caley are going to Europe with a 3-1 win. Bobby:- I'm going for 2-0 for Inverness. There's always a downside to these events, and news that Willie Collum will referee the final is as welcome as FIFA executives organising the World Cup. Ach well, somebody has to do it. Anyway, despite that, enjoy the game

It is the tactics and the intent that will win or lose this match. I just hope that we go for the proverbial jugular and put in performances akin to those made by Preston North End and Norwich City in their play off finals. They both pressed the opposition relentlessly, they both played possession football, they both went ahead early doors, consolidated and then were able to sit back and look to hit on the break. And let us not forget that we are playing against a side who have not had a competitive match for a whole month.
  23. No one tell my wife....I justified the trip by saying I couldn't see it in Canada
  24. Good luck from a Motherwell fan. Kinda got a game or two to keep us busy this weekend but will be watching on Saturday.
  25. As one of the older posters on here, I've supported Caley from the early 50s and ICT from its inception in 1994. Although I was not in favour of the merger, I soon got over it and embraced the new club. Particularly in my youth I always dreamed of us winning the Scottish Cup. For this aspiration now to be within touching distance is truly unbelievable. A win on Saturday will just be amazing, and if we follow it with one or two wins in Europe in the summer, my joy will be complete. Roy of the Rovers stuff! Bring it on.
  26. Feck me - if only I knew earlier I would have booked a return flight to Toronto.
  27. oh I was getting to see it ... just means I will be seeing it legally

a few folk have walked past my desk in the last little while wondering why i have my headphones on, tapping my feet and shaking my head in time to music, and wearing a s***-eating grin on my face Cheers AJS !!! In 21 years of doing this I think I have to say that so far this been one of the most enjoyable weeks on this website. We have little to no negativity, we have fans showing their pride, passion, and love for our team, as well as their own skills in making the rest of us smile and appreciate our club even more ... and even the opposition fans who have come along seem to be pleasant and articulate. I know normal service will be resumed at some point but for now ... long may it continue
  29. I'm happy with what Andy has came up with, roll on Saturday
