4:30pm the club put out on social media that tonight's match was cancelled. Unbelievable, nothing changes.

Some people just don't want to disappoint their kids. 1st chance we had for a pre season friendly and it's cancelled. The communication being awful point stands, it's actually atrocious.

Digital tickets with unique serial numbers would cost the club (a lot) more and whilst it would be nice, is it really needed? Seems to be a disproportionate amount of outrage on this subject but I also agree the club could also have prevented more negative PR if they simply communicated a bit better and perhaps said one of two things .... 1. Season seats are not valid for this game ... use vouchers from your book to get in free but the seating is "general admission" and first come first served ... they used to do this back in the early days when things like the odd cup game was included in your season book using the same voucher system. 2. Simply confirm that the seats to be sold first would be non season ticket holder seats and that season book holders seats were reserved until kick-off. We have a capacity of 7500+ and somewhere between 1000-2000 season ticket holders ... its not like the ground will sell out. Once the game starts then people could relocate within the stands as they wished if the seat holder didnt turn up ....

Sell my seat they can have my ST back!! Thats ridiculous!
  5. No not an outrage, just an example of the NAFF image of our club these days. I hope it changes and soon (for the better of course)

With our first competitive game only four days away, it's probably a sensible precaution if we are short of fit players.

Wholly unacceptable in the 21st century. Season ticket holders who live some distance from Inverness are amongst the most committed fans and deserve to be treated with more consideration. Easy enough to apply a unique serial number to each voucher so that it can be used digitally. Some things hardly seem to have changed from the Highland League days.

It is indeed Kristine with a K Izzy.
  9. Disgusting, anti social habit which selfishly impacts on others. Should be restricted to the smoker's private home provided that there are no children.

  12. Apologies, didn't mean to keep everyone in the dark. I got a written reply by post last Saturday - been a bit busy hence why I haven't updated on here. I am not going to go into too much detail on the contents of the letter as the Chairman respectfully requested that I did not post his reply online for all to read. Overall the Chairman was very welcoming of my feedback and reiterated that the club encourages supporters to contact them whenever they wish. The main message of the reply was that I was the first person to actually contact the club directly regarding the matter, other than the supporters trust. So beyond my email and the message from the supporters trust, the club has not received any real feedback on the variation of the badge. Obviously people have voiced their opinion on this forum but even if the club have read this (and I'm of the opinion that they shouldn't be responding officially to comments on a fans forum) then it is till only a very small fraction of the support that they have heard from. I'm still of the opinion that the team kit should retain the official club badge rather than the variation but unless a much larger proportion of the support voice their discontent then (quite rightly) there is no reason for the club to consider reverting back. Perhaps that petition is in order to actually get some numbers behind this? As I say I'm not a fan of the variation being used on the kits, but if the majority of fans are happy with it, or aren't bothered either way than I'll accept it.
  13. RiG makes a very valid point. The Chairman is very accessible and approachable and already has a considerable track record for making himself available on a one-to-one to fans with issues to discuss. As for the AGM, that's usually a pretty small, brief and staid affair that's unlikely to be a happy hunting ground for an anti-acronym insurgency. Things have changed a great deal since the Rose Street Hall!
  14. For what it's worth I think you have wasted whatever time you spent on this cos we have a badge which SHOULD read Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC.
  15. I could not agree more caleyboy. As an image for marketing, social media, etc. the new text is fine, positive even, as it merges the ICTFC brand identity to the official imagery. However, as an official crest for the club it has been ill thought out, cheapened by using the abbreviation and by adding a throwaway tag line to the banners. The 'Pride of the Highlands' slogan is cringeworthy enough but to include it on official club imagery is arguably disrespectful to other clubs in the region, not to mention appearing arrogant. Neither attributes that I would have associated with ICT before. I really hope this is just a mistake that can be rectified quickly (and a refund sought from whoever provided the advice!!) and the old, credible, badge reinstated ASAP.

Come on guys, I knew the game was off yesterday and this was in the local press today, a bit of outrage over very little methinks.
