  1. Try the Philosophy Department at the likes of Edinburgh or Oxford Universities. They have long traditions of examining the question of whether God exists so may be able to help with CJT. The only difference is that God doesn't have a 10% stake in ICT - which began to become quite evident during last season.
  2. To be fair to those who've worked hard to make it happen, we are now witnessing the progress that has been made quietly and without fuss behind the scenes. I agree, well done, not just to Liz, but to all those concerned.
  3. Instead of making the 50/50 more complicated we should replace the centenary club with something more innovative and readily accessible.

The only decent player we have gives his all for caley told he can go. We must be really desperate to get into a league we can compete in. With ravern on one side and when Tremarco is fit on the other it would allow lesser players some cover while they adjust to the level they are in. What is needed is to prune some of the dross that has been signed recently.
  5. Hopefully reality will hit home for him soon before he costs us too much more. What a melt!
  6. He certainly isn't going to earn a living from his 'art'.
  7. What is OFW up to? At the Q&A session Robbo said that OFW had received several offers but has turned them all down. Seemingly he wants a move to the States. He has been asked to play for us on a couple of occasions but apparently picked up injuries in training the days before. He had however told the Welsh management that he was fit for the World Cup qualifiers. (Robbo kept a straight face when telling us this - well, almost). It now turns out that he's not been selected for the squad! FFS. If he wants to be choosy about a contract and if he wants to play for his country, then he needs to prove on the park that he is worth it. If he is not playing, then he'll be lucky to be offered a contract any better than Ridgers has got with us. Currently, that is more than he deserves.

The point is, and was made by JR at the meeting on Monday night, that at 33 (Raven's age I think), the manager advised Raven's agent that he would not be offered a new contract in January so it would be helpful to both club and player to try and find a new deal now. Primary reason was JR felt Raven's legs had gone basically, plenty of evidence for that from last season and this, and hard to disagree with this. If we get promoted, would we still be playing Raven next season, don't think so. Fans need to remember that what Raven has done for us in the past is not going to be possible in the future. Having said that, Robbo made it clear that if Raven still with us, he would play when needed and would play this weekend. Some fans seem to think Raven can still perform as a couple of seasons ago but I doubt it and whether he is better or otherwise than some players signed is immaterial.
  9. It's amazing how consistent the needs for various targets are across leagues and seasons. 2pts/game average is challenging for honours, 1.5/game is challenging for play-offs and 1/game is relegation material. So after 8 games, we need to be at the 12 point mark to be towards top 4: Less than 8 and there are warning signs, if early in the season. My guess is 9.

It may be old news but still worth making the point that Raven has been a fine servant and would improve our defence just now. It makes no sense whatsoever to be paying him but not fully utilising him.
  11. I don't know what the income level is, but if the drop in prize money is any indication then it can't be much these days. The idea needs a freshen up to get people interested. What makes it inaccesible is not being able to sign up online and you can't pay by card. The fact that someone is employed to run it and is not out there actively signing people up is strange. What are they paid to do? Also, I can go into several shops in town and buy a ticket for clach lotto, why not us? Since ICTFC was formed stuff like this has always seemed a bit like jobs for the (Caley) boys.
  12. So do OFW, Dave and Richie have any DIY, contract negotiation or communications skills? Might as well them get them doing something while they are being paid!
  13. I'm told Macrae is one to watch, so hopefully he gets a chance.
  14. I agree, he looked lively when I saw him pre season and was always giving the opponents defense a hard time. Would like to see him get some game time.
