  1. Yes good work....... Obviously spurred on by the 'Robertson Out' thread
  2. Green dot from me Caleyboy. Can't say I would be too keen on us signing Ross again on this performance. Rarely wins the ball and does little with it when he does have it other than pass it to the nearest teammate. From tonight's game I'm struggling to see what he might add to the team.
  3. need to ask why he is still without a club after so long. Nick is neat and tidy on the ball but he won't win you 50/50 balls. I really don't know if he is the type of player Robbo needs in this league. I'll wait for all the red dots!
  4. Hang on, Yogi was crying in the press saying he wanted a bigger budget to push the club onto the next level. That's why he took the huff and put himself in an impossible position. Really, which level does he expect a club with 2000 hardcore supporters. Well down to Cameron for standing up to his nonsense. Deep down we all knew the success wasn't sustainable, however the rate of the decline was more of a shock. The timing of our success was excellent, it was masterminded at the same time whilst the Edinburgh clubs and Rangers were struggling. To finish 3rd or 4th in the Premiership is much tougher than a few years back.
  5. Can't post links but we'll done to John on the manager of the month award for October. We'll deserved after turning round an awful start to season. Keep it going John And the lads
  6. That's us getting gubbed by Falkirk on Saturday then. Seriously though, it's very well deserved. Congratulations to him and to the team who have clearly been working very hard themselves.
  7. As I said in my post I wouldn't be supportive of disrupting the current setup for obvious reasons. That said, he is a quality player at this level so if the chance came up to sign him it would daft not to consider it and see what kind of salary would be required. ETA: As Fraz says if we did have some extra cash lying about another striker would be my preference though I wouldn't be disappointed if we did sign Ross.
  8. As much as I'd like Nick to be in the squad personally I'd prefer that the money would go on a striker.
  9. Agree, as long as he's prepared to come in under our current, much reduced, wage structure. On that basis, he would be a useful addition to the squad.
  10. why spend money (which we don't have) on a player who doesn't fit?
  11. Then don't play him in a position that requires him to win those 50/50 ball. He could be a very capable player at this level playing just behind the striker slipping balls in behind the defence for Bell or Baird to latch on to. That said, doing that would likely necessitate a change in formation and I wouldn't be supportive of that given current form. A deal to the end of the season might not be terrible especially given that his planned move to Spain or the USA doesn't seem to be happening.
  12. County had a fairly strong starting line up and I thought we did very well with a totally new starting XI. Star of the show has to be Aaron Doran who played most of the game and scored a goal. But his work rate was excellent and he was involved in so much of our more positive moves. Just brilliant to see him back and playing so well! should also mention Cooper who was a constant threat to the County defence. I would guess the crowd was not far off 2000 which is great for a friendly in a good cause.
  13. That sounds like good news. I'd been wondering where he would surface after leaving Dundee months ago.. I always liked Nick. Who will ever forget his late equaliser when we were down to 9 men against Hearts? I wish him well and hope he gets a contract with us.
