  1. It’s very worrying that the white knight prospect of the park and ride depends on a project that does not have a commercial route to market. The original planning application for Red John was a joke and ILI don’t actually build these development sites, they sell them. If this is what the club are pinning future business plans to, things are worse than I thought. Gardiner’s focus is purely on profit which is ok, provided the money makes its way into quality playing staff and a better fan experience. The podcast clearly highlights that the fan experience will be sacrificed in favour of profit (supporters bar etc), the fans are not solely there to provide profit to the club - this attitude will further detriment the support base. I listened to the podcast twice, well done for pulling it together. I’d have pushed Gardiner harder on the Ridgers question, he should have the capacity to answer that. The stand roof - ICT are not actually doing anything about the roof, only sourcing a quote. That’s a yellow pages effort and frankly a waste of time. Give the lads a section in the North Stand and get the Stewards to wind their neck in. There had to be a question about non-playing staff wages as a proportion to playing staff wages, asked in the context of other club setups. Maybe next time. I can’t understand why local producers wouldn’t engage more, even on a trial basis. The club must be framing it wrong.

  2. Were you really though? The guy is an excuse merchant scrambling about for anything now his limited ability at this level is caught out. Excuses such as they are not match fit/physically or technically ready for this level, need time to integrate and gel etc will all be rolled out - he's playing the fans like a political spin doctor and many are lapping it all up.

  3. Well today I’m just glad to have got through a Saturday afternoon without ICT getting beat. Happy new year when it comes!

  4. Sadly the most effective protest is happening right now - consistently poor performances on the pitch lead to falling attendances in the stands. Less income for the club - insufficient funds to keep good players. It seems to me the solution is a more entertaining match-day experience, a few wins for example, and a team that is entertaining to watch. That'll draw the punters in! The thing is, we have some very good players, with great individual skills . . . . . . . !

  5. I really can't see a protest doing any good to be fair. At the end of the day we haven't got the finances to start sacking people or buying quality players. Yes, it would indeed highlight the feelings of our supporters, but they already know that - don't they

  6. Maybe it’s just me but CTO seems extremely quiet? This could well be down to the way ICT are playing presently I guess and the lack of direction from the board or indeed the silence from the Supporters trust or a combination of all three. Have ICT fans left CTO for Pie and Bovril I sincerely hope this is not the case I used to enjoy P&B but now it seems to have attracted the moronic fringe of our support. You would be lucky to scrape a brain cell if you merged SandyCromarty and Sophia there really is wiser eating grass! Im thinking of some of the great posters of yore that you dont see anymore, yer Scarlet Pimple, Dalneigh Caley, sneckboy, top six etc even CaleyD Thats only a few I can think of off the top of my head but feel free to add any names you would like to see post again there will be a large number I reckon. We need them back!! Best wishes and a happy new year to all or most ICT fans out there from myself Dougal

  7. I’m not a big fan of the roof on the west stand idea. I think it’s a bit pathetic that we’d be looking to raise funds for a roof when we have plenty of room else where in the stadium that’s covered. The club is struggling financially at the moment and instead of focussing on that we have certain fans wanting some sort of identity. It’s a waste of everyone’s time in my opinion and that isn’t going to benefit many. Who needs a roof anyway? I used to spend my youth up and down the bridge side at games moving depending on where we were shooting. I’m rarely up at the stadium these days as I only go to Away games but is that a possibility these days?

  8. Given how vital Dodds claimed having these youngsters back was, I was surprised to see him comment to the press that they may not even play . Hopes of a double figure victory have been dashed . We need the game to be on. It's ok saying it gives players a chance to get back, but going by the recent expert article on the negative impact of fixture congestion on player welfare/health, it doesn't seem a sensible solution.

  9. I agree. If we had the finances to make a change, I’d fully support a protest. However, I will be focussed on encouraging the players as much as possible. I don’t see that a loan signing and the return of youngsters loaned out makes a difference. Yes, it gives us a few more to choose from, and we may need Nicolson as a starter at left back depending on whether Devine is fit to pair up with Ram at the back or whether Harper is fit, allowing Delaney to move to centre half if Devine is not fit. I’ve no idea if the youngest brought in from St Mirren will add anything. Time will tell. I just wish we had a meaningful update on all our injured players. Allardice and MacGregor have had very little game time in the last 18 months due to injuries. We’ve hardly seen Samuels this season. We anticipated seeing Sutherland and Walsh in the new year: it starts tomorrow so an update on them would be good. We are heading into a relegation battle if we lose tomorrow and at Arbroath next week. Now is the time for the players to step up and show what they can do. If that means ignoring the game plan, so be it.

  10. Any word of a pitch inspection? I assume the covers are on, but is there a risk the pitch is frozen underneath?
