My concern, other than the baggage he carries, is that he flopped at Linfield when he joined them last season, failing to score. He also seems to be injury prone. It is a no from me. I’d rather see whether Cairns or Hennem can be a tall partner for Mckay.5 points

It seems Ross Tokely public relations dept had a quiet word up his nostrils informing him to sign or else !3 points

If they do look, why do they ignore the clear concerns being voiced and the sentiments expressed?2 points

I cannot believe that no one at the club wants to know what the core support of the club is feeling. Surely to gain the reaction of the fans, the club must look at social media and the fans forum? If not, they are coming across more and more how completely out of touch with the mood of the fans they are.2 points

Mixed feelings about Lafferty. He is a lout and probably not the easiest to have around but I could see him doing a job linking up with Billy. Could be quite potent and exactly what we need. It may only last a few months before summat goes wrong but we could make hay and put ourselves in a decent position. You cant ignore his history and he has had second chances but might it be worth a punt ( an expensive punt as well)? I dont think there would be significant reputational damage although I note Goodwillie is punting himself globally with no success2 points

Well done Douglas, for persevering when most of us just gave up. Be interesting to see if your stone in the pond gathers any momentum (wave like), time will tell. For me the recent posters has been what’s good about the fans (both positive and negative [depending on what side of the fence you sit]); so here’s to the start of the new season. Enjoy it !(all the ups and downs).2 points

Got my renewal for the Trust today and have renewed. I know there are mixed feelings on the Forum but, for me, the greater the membership the greater the opportunity for it to be listened to. I know money is tight right now, but £5 is a small price for membership.1 point

Great news. What we need now is confirmation that the Lafferty talk is just nonsense!1 point

Not got mine yet. Was told it would be posted out. I may call at the stadium later in the week if it hasn’t arrived as I will be in the vicinity.1 point

Just to let you know the SLO sent me an Email over the weekend which I found today in my spam. He left me his contact number, so I phoned him today. Short version. He is SLO for ICTFC but he doesn't monitor the Email box a part time member of staff does, so if he doesn't get Emails it's because no one has forwarded them. He suggested I thought communication was poor from his chat with the Chairman. I said it wasn't poor, it was shocking. I am trying to keep this short,so suffice to say he apologised for my experience with the club and blamed lack of staff. He advised he had received no mail from me even when I advised that a member of staff told me Gordon had asked her to Email me.I believe him and now understand that the member of staff was only using her initiative as she monitored the SLO box. However from experience, when doing this sort of thing you have to be sure you and the role holder have a water tight system.Clearly ICT don't. The board don't look at social media relating to any fans pages or forums which begs the question how do they know what the fans are thinking wanting or needing ,hence the reason we get told little. The SLO was open and frank and promised to raise all concerns at the board meeting next week. For me I raised an issue and flogged it because of the principals involved.I have now shared the outcomes and at two minutes to four, I am too late for the early bird season tickets, so I will drift for a while before deciding where to watch football next season. Whatever, thanks for engaging with me,thanks for letting me be part of this forum and I wish you all the best.1 point

If you watch it back, Tokely puts his hand up to stop the other player running in to him. A little unfortunate that he took it on the chin, but right call by the refs to just continue the match.1 point

Ordered my new Season ticket over the phone on 20th June, still no sign of them in the post, she said they'd be sent out in two weeks, must be due anytime now.1 point

Apparently the contract has been sponsored by the Free Presbyterian Church. No religious flags or songs but we need to avoid playing on Sundays.1 point

Does it matter? He's signed, we can continue to rebuild & begin our preseason.1 point

If big Kyle does sign will we start to see the union jacks reappear again at the dump and the unsavoury songs from a loud minority? We do seem to attract has been ex orcs not sure why but maybe that has something to do with the armed forces days that are encouraged and the loyalist marches that have appeared in the city in the past. I don’t want him at the club if I’m being honest too much unwanted baggage. Dougal1 point

Thanks Gringo, looking forward to defending my unexpected title win. I’m delighted you are doing this again. It is good, friendly fun and I hope you get some new participants this season.1 point

Whoever told you this is having you on lmao. If we were playing Leeds, the club would be stupid not to advertise and cash in on it...wait...1 point

He definitely had charm, but that was the only thing that set him apart from the current incumbent. Let's not forget that it was he and the rest of Muirfield Mills who started the club on the descent it currently finds itself on.1 point

When a franchise is created being that a business or a football club communication diminishes or completely disappears. Fans groups or trusts etc are wasting their time trying to work alongside folk that DON’T WANT to work with normal working class punters. Fans groups have historically failed miserably to attract decent numbers to join up because the majority of sane minded fans know it’s futile. Unless there is a complete rethink and direction change at board level communication will continue in its current form. The so called guardians of this club present and part are not interested in the fans we are just going round in circles discussing the same p1sh Dougal0 points
