  1. I wonder if any of our old media team would consider coming back now that things have changed? It would be great to have the live match commentary, live text updates, highlights that don't look like they're filmed on a nokia 3310 and things again.

  2. Off the park, what a great atmosphere in Bar 94 before and after the game, and it was great to see the management and team in the bar after the match, chatting to fans. They know we are behind them and they are grateful for that, and they are certainly up for the challenge they face.

  3. One day we will see history made when a referee books a goal keeper for feigning injury when they make a hash of a save and the ball ends up in the net. Fair play for Kells not going down the 'blame the referee route'. Agreed that yesterday was a great game to watch. We have to be patient because the signs are good.

  4. Kelty picking and choosing what they want their fans to see. Billy missed a great opportunity in second half but headed wide and we had the disallowed goal as well. Mackinnon fired over when he should have hit the target. There was also a couple of weak attempts on the right side with the left foot that should have ended better. It's not particularly representative of the flow of play. Not sure why we have nothing online yet.

  5. Kelty TV Highlights - a classic example of editing out key moments in the second half that would have raised refereeing questions!!

  6. Decent effort from Kelty that I watched my local team Renfrew play Kelty in the Junior Cup a few seasons back. Never did I think they’d outshine us on stuff like this. This is an away game for them as well.

  7. Like everyone I would prefer 3 points from any performance but if we're not going to take 3 points I at least want to be entertained and I felt like we got that today. Sure feels much better than sitting through 90 minutes of knocking the ball about in our own half. But we did score and in only 3 mins. No point getting all Victor Meldrew about it. The squad is what it is for now and moaning won't change that.

  8. A proper game of football broke out at the Caledonian Stadium today! The lads must be absolutely gutted not to have won the game, but I was thoroughly entertained. Well done guys! A little bit of luck and and a half decent referee and you would have won.

  9. That’s the best game I’ve seen at home this season. We were positive and wanting to win it from the start. On a different day, Devine’s shot off the post would have gone in and the referee would not have disallowed our second for a minimal contact with the goalie. We didn’t win, but a lot of positives. Allan a deserved MoM but a close run thing with Bray, MacKinnon and Longstaff. Great to see Nicolson and Cairns back too. So only a point but a lot of positives.

  10. A much more entertaining game and satisfying performance overall from the team. If we're going to draw games I'd rather do it as we did today with a bit of fight. Kelty the ones playing for the draw in the end was also a nice change as we pushed right until the final whistle. Kelty keeper for motm frustratingly.

  11. Flynn Duffy has signed for Airdrie. Think he’s the first of the players made redundant to get a club.

  12. Fair play to Mark Ridgers donating his cup final gloves, after the shambolic way he was let go...

  13. With players taking a case against the club for breach of contract there may be very good legal reasons why nobody has been allowed to contact them.

  15. I'll echo what's been said by others about the game. We played really well for an hour, moved the ball well, looked threatening and were the better team. A couple of bad errors, losing a ball in themiddle of the pitch for the secondgoal and leaving a man at the back post for the third goal, saw us go down. It'll be a lesson learned and I think that we'll benefit from having Danny Devine back in the middle. Positives are that I thought Longstaff and Bray had good games, particularly in the first half. It's probably the best I've seen Longstaff play for us. Both faded when they were switched in the second half though. In midfield, the structure was good with Allan dropping deep and MacKinnon and Thompson ahead of him. Think Thompson might have been a bit match rusty. The negatives were that we might have had a lot of the play but we didn't score when we were on top, we didn't press home our advantage. We also didn't force their keeper to do much - he had one save I think in the second half that you thought we might have scored but nothing beyond that. We really are lacking in attacking over - our only centre forward is Billy Mckay who is getting on. We don't even have anyone to play up front from the bench. Chatter before thegame was that Adam Brooks was one of our highest earners, up to £1000/week, so from that viewpoint I get why he was made redundant but it leaves us very thin up top. Thought our fans were great, good to see a healthy travelling support who mainly stayed to the end.

  16. I don’t think it’s possible to attribute blame solely or even (with one exception) mainly to any single individual. Caley Thistle’s current problems are the product of a perfect storm of years of errors and mismanagement both on and off the pitch, and those currently in place who were previously in junior coaching positions or were simply individual players or didn’t feature at all when the real decline was ongoing, shouldn’t be made to carry the can. One factor I would want to highlight is the dreadful internal atmosphere within the club over a period of years which I think many of us knew was the case and which was superbly illustrated in the PandJ’s series on Gardiner - who also very publicly sought to take credit for appointing Duncan Ferguson. It’s clear that the atmosphere in the club had for a long time been utterly toxic and I believe that, alongside extremely poor financial practices at board level, this had an extremely damaging effect that percolated right through to on-field performances. There has been a lot more as well, and these are not things that will suddenly be put right in the immediate aftermath of certain high profile departures since May.

  17. I simply don’t understand how you can make this statement. The current players and SK have been part of the club (in one shape or another) in coaching, training or playing for the club throughout this season games. The bulk of the same personnel were with the club during last seasons campaign. If our highest earning striker (now part of the new management team), had scored a goal in two or three more of last seasons games, we may not even be playing in this division imo. I want the new management team and players to succeed this season and stay up, but however poor the previous manager was, we fool ourselves if we believe he is the sole reason for us being in the position we currently find ourselves. bc

  18. The young teams have done well this weekend. Congratulations to our U14 North Squad who are the newly crowned North Plate Champions. Double cup success today! Congratulations to our U16s who are the new North League Cup Winners. Well done to all the players and coaches.

  19. Would you not prefer 3 points from an average performance? Feckin sure I Would ! Said at half time it would be a draw, and despite a few half chances we could have played for 2 weeks and not scored. Glaring lack of someone in the striker roll and I'm afraid but on the performance last week and today... we're doomed.
