  2. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/may/02/duncan-ferguson-questions-everton-rangers-dundee-united-newcastle-scotland The Guardian is asking for questions for Big Dunc, ahead of the publication of his book. I have submitted the following question: "What do you think of Inverness Caledonian Thistle's performance this season after you left them, and after they were deducted 15 points for going into administration?" I doubt if it will see the light of day

  3. Absolutely, couldn’t agree more. The club and we the fans more importantly, need to move on and focus on what and how we structure and prepare for next season. For the club that is get out of Administration, get in place a proper commercial operating model and re-engage with the business community. Establish and secure a playing squad capable of challenging for promotion. Set in place a fan recruitment programme. For us, (me) the fans, it’s threefold; # Get behind the team next season. That’s not blind support, criticism is healthy, more noise please. # Buy your season tickets and shake out drop out fans to come back. # Bring your kids and friends along. The achievement by AS, Kells and the team is exceptional. Let’s learn from the past errors and try and avoid them in future. Promotion hopefully this time next year. bc

  4. Congratulations Calum, a worthy winner in probably our tightest season yet… …and many thanks again Gringo for a great job - I look forward to this every week as much as the footie itself Bye y’all have a great summer

  5. I think we'll do well to retain half the squad, so there will be a bit if rebuilding to do. Kell is connected enough, and respected enough as a coach throughout the game, to attract both signings and loans, so I don't have any fears on that front. I do wonder if there are any past players, that still have a season or two left in them at this level, who might fancy a wee return?

  6. Just wondering what we could do to encourage more younger fans, we have a fair amount of older seasoned fans but I'd say we lack younger generations. Was on a break in Ayr a few weeks ago and attended Ayr v Falkirk and the place was bouncing due to a huge amount of young fans attending.

  7. Sorry tm4tj, you do enough already. I'm just an ideas person - but too lazy and clueless to actually take them into reality!

  8. Thanks guys. Just a bit of a passtime that grew arms and legs. Bit of a chore sometimes, but much easier when we win. AI has been a great option for creating some images, although it can take a few goes to get an acceptable image. Onwards and upwards Cheers dears.

  9. Thanks DD, it was going for us winning 2-0 at Montrose that clinched it for me! That’s three in a row, which is amazing. I hope others join the competition next season for more enjoyable fun.

  10. We both overtook Scotty and pushed him out of the top 10 by a single point. Hope we don't get banned from this site! You are also too modest to say that you also edged out Gringo at the death to take the Prediction League title by the narrowest of margins. Congratulations to you and many thanks to Gringo for running both these competitions.

  11. Given where we were when Scott took over and all the constraints he has faced due to the administration process, to finish 7th is just an absolutely brilliant achievement. Many congratulations to Scott and all the team and backroom staff for rediscovering the togetherness.

  13. That was the season that was. No words to describe how proud I am of the team and (post DF) management/coaching. Wouldn't wish what they've had to go through on any team (well maybe 2) but they will have learned a lot about themselves and what can be achieved by pulling together as a team. Avoiding the play offs means they will all now get a thoroughly deserved full summer break. Hope to see many of them pulling on the Caley Thistle shirt again next season.

  14. Well done to caleycalum but what a tight finish. A poor season for me, but I’m glad to have sneaked in to the top ten right at the death! Thanks to Gringo for running this and looking forward to next season.

  16. And that's a wrap The final game of the season was at Links Park, Montrose, with both sides already assured of their League1 status for next season. Scott Kellacher went with the strongest starting XI available with Dibaga, MacKinnon and Strachan missing out and Marcus Gill helping out between the sticks with MacLeod and Nolan outfield. Stewart Petrie had maybe rested a couple of starters with Cammy Gill, Lyons, Dillon and Wighton on the bench but the Gudgie started as did Matheus Machado. Inverness ended the season on a high after dominating Montrose at Links Park. Paul Allan on the break and Billy Mckay after an hour did the damage in a game dominated by the Caley Jags. What an ending to a turbulent season. And that's a wrap ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Action in the Montrose goalmouth in the first minute as Paul Allan brought out a save from Ross Mathews in goal as he kept out Allan's goalbound effort. Billy Mckay missed the target five minutes later after connecting with a cross and Graham Webster was denied by Marcus Gill as the hosts hit back and Aidan Quinn had an early effort blocked. Fifteen minutes in and Allan was one on one with Mathews, alas it was the keeper that prevailed. Keith Bray saw a shot blocked as the visitors kept the pressure on the home defence and a couple of minutes later he was denied by Mathews and had another go blocked as well. Sir Lancelot tried his luck from a tight angle but Gill stood firm. Allan was once more thwarted by Mathews and as the game went to the other end, an Owen Stirton shot was blocked. However, it was the visitors who were looking most likely to open the scoring. News coming in near half time was that Kelty were cruising two up on Alloa, thus ring fencing sixth leaving Montrose and Inverness to battle it out for seventh and eighth. Defences were on top at Links Park though and Pollard and Mckay were next to get shots away at either end of the park without troubling the keepers. Just on the interval Gill saved high from Quinn and Machado fired over, but moments later Paul Allan opened the scoring from close range in time added on. Goal stemmed from Billy Mckay’s ball that found Allan in the box and he knocked it into the net! That ended a frantic first half that the visitors had dominated without threatening to run away with the game. HALF TIME: 0-1 Alloa had pulled a goal back just before half time, so sixth place was back on should they draw level with Kelty. With that in mind the Caley Jags laid siege to the home goal with Alfie Stewart and Keith Bray going close as the corner count mounted. Ben Brannan was next to have a go with Mathews up to the task once more. Montrose subbed the Gudgie off but the shooting practice continued with MacLeod and Bray having a go. Would this profligacy come back to bite us on the rrrs? Not now as Billy Mckay scored his third in three when he shot home from outside the box. Great end to the season for Billy. The procession didn't stop there though as Paul Allan and Callum MacLeod fired goalwards. Everyone and their dog were now having a go with Danny Devine and Robbie Thompson next in line. Marcus Gill saved well from Webster as Montrose tried to grab a consolation. As it was, we ended on a high. Well done Kells and the boys. What a season, for many different reasons. FULL TIME: 0-2 Fabulous end to the season for Inverness and Billy Mckay We fell just short of sixth as Alloa failed to take a point off Kelty. More match reaction to follow.
