  1. I'd go looting in Dingwall tomorrow if I thought there was anything worth taking.
  2. If I see any of our fans wearing a jester hat tomorrow, I'll stick it where the sun don't shine*. * Dingwall
  3. Oh yes, he'll get all the respect he deserves :D
  4. I think Don Cowie would have to be the winner.
  5. Falkirk are also releasing various others including Vitor Lima and the wonderfully named Enoch Showumni.
  6. I think some of them are paid 10 times what our guys get. Are Hearts finally starting to acknowledge financial reality?
  7. Same has been happening to me for a couple of days.

Presumably Motherwell dropped interest once they heard his wage demands.
  9. If you were referring to the drinks cabinet however......
  10. You win. Thread closed
  11. Times have changed Johnboy, the Bank of England are tasked with controlling inflation and interest rates these days, to limit the damage politicians can do. As for your 2nd point, are you conveniently forgetting about the basic rate of income tax being slashed from 33% to 23%, benefitting pretty much everyone?
  12. Why? Because we are getting a system whereby the 3rd biggest party will always be in government?
  13. Sounds like there were personal differences.
  14. Presumably the Hamilton fans have stopped chanting "Imrie die!" and such like.
  15. If County win the Cup, at least it will not be mentioned on TV every week for the next 50 years.
  16. Selling Imrie turned out to be a move which was great for all parties concerned. And remember, we would have lost him for nothing this summer anyway.
  17. Most people assumed that having finished comfortably top of the league, promotion would automatically follow. However, it appears that under the SFL's unwritten constitution this may not be the case, due to ICT's failure to secure an overall majority of the points available in the entire league. This leaves the door open for losing teams to combine with beleagured Dundee to produce a points tally greater than ICT's. And in a further twist, the balance of power appears to be Ross County, a minority football club with traditionally strong support in the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross constituency. Their leader Derek Adams shot to prominence in April when he was widely credited in the polls as having won their first televised match, prompting a wave of media admiration. However, he failed to convert this euphoria into league points, which some say is down to his policy of pursuing of the Euro. Initially, Adams was understood to have acknowledged ICT's right to promotion and offered his support, respecting their "strong and stable" team and particularly their dominance of the right wing. But mere weeks ago he had been critical of their defence policy, and this may be a factor in his decision to enter laborious discussions with Dundee in a desperate move to keep his rivals away from the premiership. The key point in any deal with County will be their demand for reform. Adams argues that under the current, antiquated system favoured by the traditional teams, victory in each match is awarded to the team which scores the most goals. He will offer his support to whichever club agrees to change this rule to any system which will favour County, such as the "alternative scoring system", which guarantees them a place at the top of the table even when they have suffered a heavy defeat. County's cabinet is understood to be bare, whilst their assistant manager is said to be "eager to get into bed with anyone".
  18. Wonder if this was a sweetener to help persuade Foran to sign?
  19. You could be in charge of drafting player contracts and negotiating settlements when they go wrong.
  20. Renegade for manager, to ensure some additional comedy value.
  21. Like it!
  22. Falkirk got what they deserved, only 12 months late. And I'm delighted to hear they are keeping Pressley as manager. Are they still the team who has beaten us more times than any other?
  23. Perhaps more of a lukewarm mug of cocoa these days! You just don't get stuff like this these days, which most would say is a good thing. Saw them a couple of times 20-25 years ago. I think they entered the stage from a descending spaceship. Even Spinal Tap didn't think of that.
  24. Most of your lot think it has 3 syllables!
  25. I was reading that in his last ever game for St J, Paul Sheerin is to be presented with an award as the fans' choice of "Player of the Decade". Previous winners were Roddy Grant (90's) and John Brogan (80's). Who would be ICT's players of the 90's and 00's? I think the idea of a player of the decade has got to take into account the value of the long term contribution made by the player, as opposed to the best player to feature for us at any point during that decade, if you see what I mean. I didn't see much of us prior to 1998, but Charlie and Stewartie would have to be contenders for the 90's. For the most recent decade, my choice would be Tokely. Noughty legend.
