  1. Sounds like he has a good publicist if nothing else.
  2. What we have is a virus that only seems to kill Mexicans. How long til we get a conspiracy theory that the USA manufactured it?
  3. Agreed. I see that Hamilton and Falkirk have players included though. Looking at that squad, I don't see many players at all who I expect to be future Scotland players.
  4. I call it Mexi-NO !!!! With the drug war, the abductions just over the border near Laredo/El Paso, the corruption, the cases of Canadians "falling" from balconies (some of which were probably legit ! but not all), the high profile murder of that Canadian couple (which they tried to pin on two innocent women from backwoods Ontario), the gouging of Canadian tourists in the last few weeks when conquest vacations went bust, and now this .... you wouldnt get me there if they paid me !!!! Give me Cuba or somewhere else in the carribean anyday !!! Like yourself I'm fortunate enough to have been to both Cuba and Mexico, but I thoroughly enjoyed Mexico - possibly because we steered clear of the notorious places. But Cuba has the distinct advantage of having no American tourists (yet), which is probably why it is so popular with Canadians!
  5. I don't share your optimism for a point from the St Mirren game. On recent form they are a much better team than us, and our record in Paisley is poor (and it has been ever since we let Darran Thomson go ) Our only chance is if Dorman breaks a leg both legs. The Hamilton one is really vital. Fourth time lucky, please.
  6. Without any Top 6 players it's surely the F team.

    Pepe

That was Dinamo Bucaresti. Can't imagine Marius got involved though. Even if he'd wanted to lamp an 18 stone prop he wouldn't have been able to catch him.
  8. There's got to be money to be made by abusing this ?2,000 car subsidy scheme. Surely all you need is a dodgy car dealership (which shouldn't be difficult) who will split the money with you for completing the paperwork without any cars really changing hands.
  9. I think they are for commonly used diversion routes. So if there is a road closed a sign might be put up saying For Wigan follow [yellow square] For Preston follow [black triangle] etc
  10. He said gaming, but not gambling
  11. I don't look forward to budget day, every one I can remember has made me worse off and I fear this one could be really bad. Anyway EWS, the thing about ladders is that you are meant to start at the bottom, and sometimes that means living somewhere scummy*, or further out than you would like. But at least it gets you on the ladder. * However, I take no responsibility for this advice if you end up getting stabbed.
  12. Would Ladbrokes accept a multi-billion pound bet on "Bathplug" at 100/1 from 11 Downing Street? It's the only way he'll be able to bail out the economy.
  13. Unfortunately our team has shown this season that when the pressure is on in the crucial games, they bottle it and put in a terrible performance. If we go into that last game needing a result, we will get relegated. Edit to add: Examples of failing to rise to the occassion - v Falkirk in the league cup, v Falkirk in the Scottish Cup, v Falkirk recently in the league. Doesn't bode well!
  14. A real low point in their history!
  15. 5/1 is very generous for "Hard Working Families", as it seems to have be a compulsory sound bite for any economic speech/interview over the last 10 years. In fact if they could offer 10/1 on "for hard working families everywhere" I'd stick my negative equity on it.
  16. It's 21 days until the final whistle of our next encounter with them, but I believe they have started timewasting already.
  17. Is the Hamilton game on Setanta? I'm trying to remember if this will be the first time we have been televised against a non-OF team? I know that we are the least televised team this season. That's not a criticism of Setanta, we just haven't been worth watching.
  18. Perhaps we should request something from ICT for that dismal performance at Falkirk. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8006621.stm
  19. Well its my bidet too, so I'll have an extra drink on your behalf. Why can't you drink and be merry?
  20. Hamilton must love playing us. They can be poor but still always win.
  21. There's certainly a connection there at the very least :
  22. The seller posts on here as FourFourTwo - check out his post on the For Sale/Swap forum.

    Setanta

The problem for Setanta isn't really that they paid too much in England, it's that after the recent auction they will only have 23 Premiership games a season in future, compared to their current 46. The fear is that not many of their current 1.5m subscribers (or advertisers) will keep paying when there are so few games. (They had less than 200,000 subscribers before they got the Premiership rights).
