  1. Sadly I agree, Grant is the weakest captain we've ever had.
  2. You'll be pleased to hear that you are. I'm not sure if any 1st Division teams comfortably operate financially. Where money is concerned there's only one place to be.
  3. Hastings didn't look at all clever for the 2nd and 3rd goals. maybe Ritchie Byrne wouldn't be such a bad signing after all.
  4. As the song goes: This is how it feels to be County This is how it feels to be small This is how it feels when your team wins nothing at all
  5. Hey, it's 4.50pm on a Saturday and for the first time in ages we haven't lost!

I presume this Linton chap is usually the Courier's shopping correspondent or such like, and that he's only covering sport while everybody else is on holiday?

Saintee, can we have Caff and Sheerin back? We'd also take Savo and Jackson off your hands amongst others. Oh, and you might as well throw in the manager. In return you can get Brewster, McGuire and a Scotland U21 international. Fair swap?
  8. Aren't those Brewster's tactical instructions? Well, 2008 has been our worst ever year on the pitch, so 2009 can't be any worse. Can it? Let's hope it's a good one for all of us.
  9. Ooh this is getting interesting. Can someone webcast the meeting?! Well done to the Trust for turning up the heat.

Munro says the players have underperformed and have to take some of the blame, which is riteenuff. Perhaps more significant is what he doesn't say, ie anything positive or supportive about the manager. http://www.setanta.com/uk/Articles/Footbal...ans/gnid-33280/ ?As players we have to take responsibility ? maybe we need to take a look at ourselves,? Munro told the Press and Journal. ?Maybe some of the boys are not doing their jobs properly. ?We have to take a look at ourselves in the mirror and ask if we are doing our job and a lot of boys are not. It is down to us. ?The fans can shout whatever they want; they pay their money and understandably can say what they want. ?They can vent their anger on us as well; it is not just the management team. ?The manager puts the team on the park but we are not producing and it is not good enough for Inverness overall.? The Highlanders have only won one of their last seven matches, and Munro admits that it is hurting the team. ?The longer you keep losing games the confidence is not there,? he explained. ?There is a bit of panic at the moment as we don?t want to be at the bottom of the league. ?We just have to keep believing and working hard as a team and individually we have to do a lot better. "

Is that the guy who brought a 50-something Socrates to Garforth?! Anyway, he sounds like a skills coach more than a team manager. I take it nobody in the lower English leagues or Conference has moved for him?
  12. With half the gate receipts going to Partick anyway, it would be a way of making a point without hurting the club too much financially. Trouble is, we all want to see ICT do well in the cup, and the likelihood of a low ticket price will attract people.
  13. In the NFL Detroit Lions have just ended the season with a new record, Played 16 Lost 16.
  14. Cheers Barry, my all time favourite ICT player. PS Can we keep this thread about Barry, there are plenty of others to discuss Brewster etc.
  15. I don't think many people outside of the Boardroom would disagree with you.

People have seen a bit of him now, so what's the verdict, good signing? The stats look pretty respectable. He is our top scorer, with 5 goals in the SPL from 7 starts and 10 sub appearances.
  17. When Proc was played in defence at Dundee Utd (again under Brewster) he was a liability, costing them goals every week. Of course Levein took over and dropped him immediately.
  18. Has Brew moved in favour of the more experienced players recently? Duff and Vigurs have been overlooked.
  19. It's Scotland under Berti all over again. Someone remind our Board how fortunes improved dramatically with a change of manager.
  20. Missed it, what was your point? (other than the obvious Brew out!!)
  21. It might have been considered cruel to sack someone just before Christmas, but Christmas is well and truly over now.
  22. Cheers Robbo, merry christmas to you to.
  23. They will also know the value to us of keeping our best player to help us avoid relegation.
  24. I doubt it, given that both earned massive pay rises with their moves to bigger clubs. Perhaps Brewster can actually be credited with making Black a much better and more disciplined player this season.
