  1. I went to a Norwich away game round about 1994 when they were top of the Premiership (Bryan Gunn was in goals then). Their fans were brilliant from start to finish that day too, very vocal and humorous with it. I missed a goal though cos I was underneath one of their huge flags.

    Esson

Probably worth more on the open market than Esson. It's 10 years since they stopped making Cremola, making each remaining tub as precious as diamonds (and by now, just as solid).
  3. Just one yellow since Butcher took over, I think. TB praised him yesterday, saying that that on his arrival he had commented that that if the team pick up more points than Rossco does, we'll be fine!
  4. St Mirren fans will say Rossco cynically and deliberately ended Kerr's career and then danced on his grave. It happened about 10 years ago in what was possibly Rossco's 1st or 2nd game in Div 1, which I think we lost 3-2 at Love St. Kerr was on the wing trying to pass Tokely, who stuck a leg out and caught his knee. Rossco got a red, and Kerr was out injured for the best part of a year IIRC. Kerr came back and kept playing for years, but supposedly wasn't as good as before. So while he eventually disappeared into the wilderness, Rossco went on to become Superman.
  5. With one game to go, County could either get relegated or end up as high as 3rd place. What a league, I'm glad we're not in it.
  6. Good to hear he's getting a second chance at this level, I trust he won't get himself sent off this time. George Boyd has been called up too. Who? Peterborough Utd, apparently. Was interviewed on radio and said in his very english accent that he really wants to play for England but it's such a small chance that he'll consider Scotland instead. Give me Blackie's commitment any day!
  7. ;) :thumb04: There's also the old "beaten by a pub team" line. But also:
  8. Fantastic result, from an intriguing starting line-up. Pity Falkirk and Hamilton won, but a good day for us all the same.
  9. Sounds like he has a good publicist if nothing else.
  10. What we have is a virus that only seems to kill Mexicans. How long til we get a conspiracy theory that the USA manufactured it?
  11. Agreed. I see that Hamilton and Falkirk have players included though. Looking at that squad, I don't see many players at all who I expect to be future Scotland players.
  12. I call it Mexi-NO !!!! With the drug war, the abductions just over the border near Laredo/El Paso, the corruption, the cases of Canadians "falling" from balconies (some of which were probably legit ! but not all), the high profile murder of that Canadian couple (which they tried to pin on two innocent women from backwoods Ontario), the gouging of Canadian tourists in the last few weeks when conquest vacations went bust, and now this .... you wouldnt get me there if they paid me !!!! Give me Cuba or somewhere else in the carribean anyday !!! Like yourself I'm fortunate enough to have been to both Cuba and Mexico, but I thoroughly enjoyed Mexico - possibly because we steered clear of the notorious places. But Cuba has the distinct advantage of having no American tourists (yet), which is probably why it is so popular with Canadians!
  13. I don't share your optimism for a point from the St Mirren game. On recent form they are a much better team than us, and our record in Paisley is poor (and it has been ever since we let Darran Thomson go ) Our only chance is if Dorman breaks a leg both legs. The Hamilton one is really vital. Fourth time lucky, please.
  14. Without any Top 6 players it's surely the F team.

    Pepe

That was Dinamo Bucaresti. Can't imagine Marius got involved though. Even if he'd wanted to lamp an 18 stone prop he wouldn't have been able to catch him.
  16. There's got to be money to be made by abusing this ?2,000 car subsidy scheme. Surely all you need is a dodgy car dealership (which shouldn't be difficult) who will split the money with you for completing the paperwork without any cars really changing hands.
  17. I think they are for commonly used diversion routes. So if there is a road closed a sign might be put up saying For Wigan follow [yellow square] For Preston follow [black triangle] etc
  18. He said gaming, but not gambling
  19. I don't look forward to budget day, every one I can remember has made me worse off and I fear this one could be really bad. Anyway EWS, the thing about ladders is that you are meant to start at the bottom, and sometimes that means living somewhere scummy*, or further out than you would like. But at least it gets you on the ladder. * However, I take no responsibility for this advice if you end up getting stabbed.
  20. Would Ladbrokes accept a multi-billion pound bet on "Bathplug" at 100/1 from 11 Downing Street? It's the only way he'll be able to bail out the economy.
